Heavy Lake Effect Snow/ Thundersnow! Lake County, Ohio (10-31-23)

On October 31, 2023 a decent lake effect snow event was setting up across northeast Ohio. with Lake Erie waters still in the upper 50s and very cold air aloft conducted a mix of heavy precipitation. Also, there was a chance for thundersnow with the heaviest bands of snow along the Lake shore. However, that evening, I did not expect to witness thunder snow at all, but that changed very quickly . I'm in the minority when it comes to loving snow. And sadly, I don't live in the snow belt anymore. So I am so jealous of all. You lucky dogs that live in the snow belt and get blasted by snow. It's just something that's always made me happy. And I can't tell you why perhaps it was snow days. Perhaps it was Christmas. Perhaps it was just the thought of everything being quiet and pretty. Who knows let it snow let it snow let it snow

I don’t even remember there being inclement weather on Halloween and I was working all night in Willoughby Hills. I do remember weather like this but I guess I didn’t remember it being on Halloween. Cool video, thundersnow is the best.

I used to like snow as a kid....as a kid.....as in, when I wasn't old enough to drive.....😨

i have a picture of a very scary looking rotating cloud from the intersection of girdle and 44. the weather right on that edge of lake erie can be quite temperamental.
