I love Albert’s playing I started picking up Heads Hands and Feet albums back in the 70’s. Picked up his first solo album and his albums with Emmy Lou. Then got the thrill of meeting him after seeing him play with the Everly Brothers. He kindly signed my copy of the first H H and F album. It has the original version of Country Boy. He was such a down to earth kind gentleman . He kindly autographed it and joked that it just went up in value. I wish there were more people like him in the music business.

So cool to see Culpeper's Orchard! When it comes to Danish heavy rock and prog it doesn't get much better than that one. I have all their three full-length LPs and will make a video about them at some point soon.

@@goodknight37 there are quite a few articles online about it, the story goes that Cross (also from Texas) traded the guitar to Ray Hennig at Heart of Texas Music in Austin. Hennig then sold or traded it to Stevie (I've heard that Ray had also claimed he gave the guitar to Stevie).

Great stuff Dillon! Keep meaning to check out Billy Strings, I keep hearing good things about him. I need to hear that Bill Stone album… sounds right up my street. I’d love to pick up that Kravetz album… he was previously the keyboard player in Frumpy with Inga Rumpf (who guests on the Kravetz album). Top gear! I hear what you’re saying about buying rarer records. I’ll only buy them at a price where I feel I can recoup the money at some point if needed.

Love it when your first up I have had about 40 years! But then again being in the UK you see it or used to see it quite regularly. Fantastic that the 5th anniversary went so well. Only recent long search have picked up this week is September by Stud. Their first s/t is essential. They were the rhythm section of Taste with a different guitarist to Rory Gallagher. Keep up the posts!

The 80s MFSLs are made with the best JVC Super Vinyl .. I only have one that is Some Girls /Rolling Stones in near mint condition... I heard about the smiley faced eq MSFL techs were doing but I think that is not an issue because it is very heavy on bass but it still has a full range

Dang it, I just proof read my message to you and it disappeared!! I'm legally blind Dylan and I've got to get going this morning. So please excuse any spelling errors or whatever might be wrong that Google didn't type right. Is the Led Zeppelin Charlotte 1972 Volume One and Volume Two from the Off The Shelf label? And is it really an FM recording from a radio station? I know that I have gotten some of their recordings lately and they've been really decent. I know what you mean about the sound too. I didn't even listen to official music for about 20 years and I've been collecting the live stuff for the last 35 plus years. But I've never heard of a FM radio station recording of Charlotte 1972 I don't believe. So that has me intrigued and the fact that you are saying this is a good recording, I'm sure compared to all of the other recordings of Charlotte 72 through the years, I'd really love to find this set. Is there any way you could point me in the direction you found it? I found a site with it but they are out of stock and I believe they were over in Japan which would make sense. I recently bought the 8/31/69 Texas international Pop festival from this label and it was great sounding and it was the full show on two discs as opposed to just one LP with HMMT cut out. And as to the question regarding the soundboards always sound better, no they don't! I think that the 4/24 / 69 Fillmore West show is a great example of just how great an audience recording can sound. And so is the 6/ 3/73 audience of Kezar Stadium. I recently bought a 3lp of that show which was reportedly an FM radio station recording it. It might have even been from Off The Shelf? I thought I had everything, the soundboard available and the audience sources available, from that show but I didn't have an FM radio station recording / broadcast of it. When it's complete. It doesn't sound as good as the audience recording but it's still sounds great and I love this kind of stuff especially when it's led Zeppelin😊 Anyway, if you can help me find this or help me with any information I'd really appreciate it. I've got every led Zeppelin show available through the variety of trading groups or torrent sites or whatever and usually in the best generation. But most of those are CDs and lossless FLAC files. And I've been trying over the last 2 years to start getting more vinyl LPs and LP sets. Thanks again Dylan! I've got to ramble on now... And I did go back through and proofread this the best I could and correct Google's errors. Brian in Fort Worth 🎶
@noblerecords
@noblerecords 9 дней назад
Hey! It is from the off the shelf label, but there’s no way it’s an FM broadcast, as I mentioned, it’s an audience recording, it’s a decent recording.

@@noblerecords thanks Dylan! The ad I had seen said that it was from an FM broadcast and I was weary of that haha. I appreciate the reply. I'll just keep looking for when I have some time and see if I can't find it. It's great to know that it's out there and I'm glad you mentioned it this morning 👍

Regarding the Yezda Urfa, I believe your facts aren't right... it was released in 89 on Greg Walkers label but was recorded in 76. I don't think they ever "re-recorded" the album. Anyway great stuff, I love that Kravetz... keys man for Frumpy.
@noblerecords

Well not the whole album but a couple of the tracks are the same tracks from Boris. Should have made that more clear I guess.
@PhilKimbroughGuitars
@PhilKimbroughGuitars 8 дней назад
@@noblerecords Boris was recorded in May of 1975. Sacred Baboon was recorded in1976, initially again at Universal Studios in Chicago for one or two basic tracks and then we switched to Hedden West in Schaumburg, Illinois to record the rest, stretched out over many months, basically whenever we could afford to go back into the studio. None of the physical recordings on Boris were reused; any track that we had updated or rewritten was re-recorded. Boris was meant to be just a demo album whereas Sacred Baboon was meant to be our first actual release as we had a tentative deal in place with a Chicago-based label that fell apart as we neared the end of recording. So we basically mixed it and shelved it until Greg Walker approached us a decade later.

On the bootleg discussion the IEM source boots that have come out honestly are some of the worst boots but not really for quality sound wise but the overall experience (They always sound thin) A solid audience tape a lot of the time will blow away a soundboard .

400$ is a reasonable price for a MOFI meddle, not their best Lp, but for a hard core fan maybe worth it. I wonder if in 10yrs Floyd records will go way down in value as many of their fans are going to be dying off in larger numbers?
