Slow it down tap the bag lower your hands a little bit or raise them to both sides crouch more amgain your hitting your the head or the body use your legs more and then connect at the same time build your strength accuracy timming and you'll have faster improvement and you'll hit harder

Gotta bend down a little more for extra power, really twist that foot you’re pivoting with on your right foot. Like the other guy said, keep your chin down lower and guard higher. You look tall so, you could always do more of a long guard style. Maybe peek-a-boo style. The way you just t-ing off the bag gives brawler vibes. But overall, pretty good stance. Fun fact: The best fighters don’t fight with their guard up. They usually go low hands style since they’ve mastered their dodging and countering. I would also suggest finding out, what kind of boxer you are as well as archetype to really express your fighting style . Other than that, Keep it up brother!✝️🙏🏼god bless you.

Don’t wanna be that guy I’m not a boxer I do combat sports but I’ve never heard of a peekaboo being used for taller fighters ❔

@@shadowz6689esquivas laterais talvez? Bastantes usadas na guarda longa, realmente é estranho usar peek a boo na longa distância
@king_xiety
@king_xiety Месяц назад
@@shadowz6689 yeah what the Spanish dude said, peek-a-boo is more of a defensive style, the Dempsey roll is an attack version of that variant and the way he just keep punching the bag like if he was in a street fight, gave me brawler vibes. Mike Tyson was 5’10 and he used peek-a-boo a lot, in fact he mastered it and was able to take out many giants so, I don’t think it would be that bad of a idea if he used it as well for defense purposes because it does really help you learn how to dodge sideways and be untouchable, by doing a figure 8 motion with your head. But that’s why I also said, he should just keep experimenting and really learn what type of fighter he is. I’m the crusader type, I only fight for the only purpose and intention with God in mind. Nothing else. But most pro fighters don’t even keep their hands up, like Muhammad Ali! Low hands style is a better style for boxers that know how to move their head around and take risk aka pro boxers. Look at the Philly shuffle! Almost everybody in the boxing world, just uses that same style now.

Just a tip please don’t get offended. You need to take a step back and fully extend your arm when you jab, straight etc. you’re not utilizing full power with the way your punching

What do you recommend for bagwork and mittwork I’ve been using 14 oz this whole time on everything so I’ve been thinking of getting either 10 or 12 oz gloves. Also what brand do you recommend is good for a budget
@abramz1
@abramz1 Месяц назад
honestly I would recommend you getting a 16oz. it has helped my hand from injury and it improves my endurance, speed, and power. but if you want cheap then just buy the everlast training gloves. I have the hayabusa gloves, they are around $120-160 Usd.
@ratanraju9802

what does the weight of the glove do
@eddieteeple
@eddieteeple 4 дня назад
well since it weighs more it’s more tiring to throw combinations, so because of this it is beneficial to train a heavier glove when hitting pads and the bag for when you go to a standard 10-14 ounce glove

ur fingers shouldn’t be hitting the bag you’re supposed to be punching with the first 2 knuckles on your index and middle finger more focus on the middle knuckle while turning the wrist into the punch and turning right back when going back to stance

10 ounces are usually used in amateur fighting tournaments, you should use heavy bag for better conditioning but overall I’d think you’ll be good at maintaining distance in a match depeding how long you use the 10 oz

Install mount to a strong ceiling stud… don’t go over 150 lb bag, 80 lb or 100 lb you won’t run into any problems. I have my 150 lb bag on a ceiling stud and it’s worrying me

install some type of heavy bag mount you like that will work and find a ceiling stud beam to hang it. I had a 80 pound bag on for years and thats completely fine but i have a 150 lb bag now and im very worried. I have a lot of trust in this ceiling, definitely dont go over 150 lb from the ceiling
