One thing I respect about Cain is that in most of his fights he's usually the smaller guy but he still dominates, nothing but respect for him

I don't understand why there was so much hate for this. If you've watched enough fights or worked in a gym you would know Cain was fucking so on-point and crisp with his boxing and kickboxing. And his explosiveness is amazing to witness. Most of you commenting have never been real fans of combat or students of the game enough to appreciate Cain here. I remember this workout; everyone was so stupidly amped up for juniors open workout because of his boxing. Cain was the real athlete here with, to me, better boxing and kickboxing technique. So so glad he showed the world his superior and explosive athleticism, relentless pressure, and better technique when he dominated junior twice after this fight. Still amazes me people come back to this to just how hate. Read the older comments below; I was here saying he looked really good here when this video was still fresh.

he strayed away from his game plan he stood on the outdide to long which is a mistake against someone like JDS but now in there rematch velasquez will push the pace and implement his game plan another mistake he did was try and strike with JDS cain has good stand up but not JDS level so i think cain will go back to his wrestling in there rematch but i like both fighters there beasts... :D

i want to see him set up head kicks next time also he should really time jds power shots he could get the takedown easy I expect the fight to go the ground as well in the rematch.

JDS showed everyone almost a full half hour workout yesterday, it was great: watch?v=s8yrFQQFMh8. Clay Guida did, too (we'll have that posted later this morning). Anderson Silva always gives a great "open workout" and they deliberately book him last because they know he's going to go for awhile: watch?v=jEoIECmxy-c. From a standup standpoint he is technically quite sloppy - but he has an awkward style and great timing - snappy. Boxers - muay thai practitioners probably want to comment on his form, but with small gloves - awkward style and great timing it's part of what makes him a great all-round martial artists, he doesn't need to stay tight - keep his hands up etc- doesn't mean so much with small gloves! Commented because i like humble keep themselves to themselves type guys who can beat up loud mouths!

I know who were talking about. It isn't the case, he got punched in the head and couldn't get up. He didn't get leg kicked or anything even close to the cortisone shots, I've had cortisone shots before and you can go back to training like nothing the day after. Cain got KTFO in the first minute, at least Junior held on. I like both of them, but I'm going to call bullshit when I see it. Its nothing against Cain, and I do believe he'll win but you can't be sure. Junior hits harder.

@seattle0002 Speak for yourself, I have been to many open workout sessions and i as a fan, along with many others, had a blast. It is a tradition in boxing and probably many combat sports as well. I have been to Mike Tyson open workouts and you'd swear the guy was Elvis Presley himself with the amount of people who showed up to Tyson open workouts. It's not everyday that you get to see your favorite fighter up close and personal doing what he does at the gym. Trust me, it is not a waste of time.

Good point about the striking and the experience but i think the big diference in the Cain vs Reem match will be the takedowns and the endurance of Cain . Like cain vs jds 2 . Jds striking is the best in the ufc but he destroyed . Anyway we will know if the match happen which it is matter of time.
