In this episode of Hebrew Voices #174, How We Got Our Hebrew Bible, Nehemia brings on the world’s foremost expert in the Masoretic Text, Professor Yosef Ofer of Bar-Ilan University. Leviticus 19:32 . . .Before gray hair you should rise up, and you must show consideration for the person of an old man, and you must be in fear of your God. I am Jehovah. 👍

From my experience with how the English language vernacular has changed in my lifetime ; It would seem possible that most of the variations were simply when or where they were written .

From preponderance of evidence,I as a juror in court would rule in Favor of the authors intent and ability to maintain the purity of the narrative. I believe it was written for the individual s honest interpretation and not a common consensus.After all our lives hang on it. Good discussion. 97% of scientists agree, but the 3% of dissenters were correct

If one believes in EQUAL LETTER SEQUENCING. ,one would think it an authentication of the text if it agreed with the text

Original symbols would imply original intent and desired inference. My inference

Which was written first; the Samaritan Bible in proto Hebrew or the Hebrew Bible?
@ahembd1
@ahembd1 8 месяцев назад
The Hebrew Bible in proto Hebrew was the first edition. The Samaritan was a later edition of the Hebrew Bible that was modified to accommodate the agenda of the Samaritan sect (viz., that the Law was published from Mount Gerizim and not Mount Zion, etc.

Torah Scrolls do not contain vowel nikudot. Los rollos de Torah no contienen las nekudot de vocales. Os rolos de Torá no temem as nekudot de vocables.
