Thank you for the gentlemanly interview and wonderful academic work - in this field way beyond my digestability of most of the content. Yes! It shows possitive respect for many non academics who can still glean truthful input. Thank you Nehemiah. I have been so enriched by many matters relevant to biblical texts.

Nehemia, I'm new to your channel and I'm sorry if this is out of place but I need to ask: "I've heard individuals of the Jewish faith proclaim they are without the need of sacrifice as atonement for sin. I've even heard some of these individuals proclaim to believe that they are without sin for which they need to atone. If this be true, what about Leviticus 4:2-3? What about בשגגה? Is there sin that might could have been committed unintentionally and perhaps therefore unknowingly? If this be the case, how can one know that they are without sin? How does one atone without sacrifice? If but mere prayer be sufficient, what changed?"

Thank you for sharing Dr. Khan's insights into what I call his "Magnum Opus" I've been following his research on Tiberian Hebrew for almost 25 years now! I'm glad I can try to pronounce the Hebrew Bible as close as possible as the Masoretes did!

Professor Khan's book quoted sources that said that the Tiberian tradition was recognizeable by its auditory beauty. Somehow, it was immediately perceived as the correct reading. How is that possible? How would superficial differences of vocalization sound innately better than another way of pronunciation? Rhythm! There are early testimonies of group chant in unison, in metre. A regular rhythm is universally recognizable as beautiful. That's my hypothesis. ...and I can support it, because Professor Khan's described Tiberian pronunciation produces rhythmic measure and metre when combined with the Yemenite pause-time values for the dta'amim!

So was there more than one way to pronounce the TETRAGRAM?

This was an interesting discussion despite the fact it was a biased toward Arabic. If one actually looked at the early Qur anic manuscripts, you'll see that Jewish preservation of manuscripts is far superior. Lies told enough times become mainstream apparently.

I have a question for Nehemiah. If you’re a Karaite Jew , why do you spend so much time on the nonsensical Greek texts and “Jesus” ? I think a lot of Jews and Christians are just set the impression that you are legitimizing the Greek texts.
@garlandjones7709
@garlandjones7709 3 месяца назад
Those nonsensical Greek texts have underlying Hebrew and understand the Tanakh better than the majority of all writing out there penned since then.

@@garlandjones7709 they’re fraudulent and completely contradict each other. Besides there are two opposing views in the gospel …one understands Jesus as the human messiah not divine in the traditional Hebrew Torah view, even though he wasn’t….and the other comes from the Roman agent Paul (never met Jesus) who was despised by Jesus’s brother James and the original Jewish followers. Obviously the Roman pagan version fit for the colonizing empire won. The mix of man god mythology and of course no real rules , just “believe” and be saved🤦‍♂️Now two billion Roman subjects following the empire and still haven’t realized it.

@@davidbensamuel4144 the gospels answer 2 questions. Whether Yeshua is king or servant, Matthew and Mark, and is he human or divine, Luke and John. The Tanakh presents him all of those ways, and to say the traditional view is he was not divine is completely rubbish. Where does the New Testament show Paul was despised by James? Paul was misunderstood by the church. He's also misunderstood by you. Paul taught to keep the Torah and that if you weren't after accepting Yeshua that you weren't "saved".

@@garlandjones7709 stop with the nonsense man…we all know these things were decided in the councils after Jesus where Paul (the Roman agent who was despised by James and the original Jewish followers who all kept Judaism) borough mobs of his Roman pagan converts and won the debates to add the Roman pagan man god concept and to drop all the rules. The gospels are frauds that have been re written and edited many many times. Science has proven this. They don’t even agree what town Jesus was born in.

"First you have to distinguish between pronunciation and vocalization signs." Me: But,...🤔...😶...🤦‍♀️I don't get it.

There are different ways to pronounce what you see on a page. So even if you write vocalization signs, it doesn't mean that everyone will read them the same way as each other.

* Are the Jews going to declare the Son of God or God himself? Psalm 2:6 - Saying: “I myself have installed my king On Zion, my holy mountain.” * Will the Jews build the third temple or the Son of God himself? Zechariah 6:13 - "He is the one who will build the temple of Jehovah, and he is the one who will assume the majesty. He will sit down on his throne and rule, and he will also be a priest on his throne, and there will be a peaceable agreement between the two." * Was there ever a specially created angel mentioned in the Old Testament? Proverbs 30:4 - "Who has ascended to heaven and then descended? Who has gathered the wind in the palms of both hands? Who has wrapped up the waters in his garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name and the name of his son-if you know?" Proverbs 8:30 - "Then I was beside him as a master worker. I was the one he was especially fond of day by day; I rejoiced before him all the time;" * Was he preordained by God to be the King of humanity? Isaiah 9:6 - "For a child has been born to us, A son has been given to us; And the rulership will rest on his shoulder. His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 42:1 - "Look! My servant, whom I support! My chosen one, whom I have approved! I have put my spirit in him; He will bring justice to the nations." Genesis 49:10 - "The scepter will not depart from Judah, neither the commander’s staff from between his feet, until Shiʹloh comes, and to him the obedience of the peoples will belong." Luke 1:32 - "This one will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and Jehovah God will give him the throne of David his father," * Was this angel been described in heaven as a son of man as well in the prophecies? Daniel 7:13 - “I kept watching in the visions of the night, and look! with the clouds of the heavens, someone like a son of man was coming; and he gained access to the Ancient of Days, and they brought him up close before that One. 14 And to him there were given rulership, honor, and a kingdom, that the peoples, nations, and language groups should all serve him. His rulership is an everlasting rulership that will not pass away, and his kingdom will not be destroyed. Acts 7:56 - and he said: “Look! I see the heavens opened up and the Son of man standing at God’s right hand.” * So if the son of man is brought close to God, then was there an agreement in his reign? Like that mentioned by Zechariah? Luke 22:29 - "and I make a covenant with you, just as my Father has made a covenant with me, for a kingdom," Matthew 28:18 - Jesus approached and spoke to them, saying: “All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth." 1 Corinthians 15:25 - "For he must rule as king until God has put all enemies under his feet." Ephesians 1:22 - "He also subjected all things under his feet and made him head over all things with regard to the congregation," * He is mentioned in Proverbs to have ascended and descended? John 3:13 - "Moreover, no man has ascended into heaven but the one who descended from heaven, the Son of man." Revelation 14:14 - "Then I saw, and look! a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was someone like a son of man, with a golden crown on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand." Matthew 24:30 - "Then the sign of the Son of man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in grief, and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory." * But did Jesus ever claimed to be equal with God? Philippians 2:6 - "who, although he was existing in God’s form, did not even consider the idea of trying to be equal to God." John 14:28 - "You heard that I said to you, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I am." Matthew 7:21 - “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of the heavens, "but only the one doing the will of my Father" who is in the heavens will." * Why should Jews pray to God in Jesus's name? Colossians 3:17 - "Whatever it is that you do in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, thanking God the Father through him." John 3:16-18 - “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world for him to judge the world, but for the world to be saved through him. 18 Whoever exercises faith in him is not to be judged. Whoever does not exercise faith has been judged already, because he has not exercised faith in the name of the only-begotten Son of God." John 3:36 - "The one who exercises faith in the Son has everlasting life; the one who disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him." 2 John 9 - "Everyone who pushes ahead and does not remain in the teaching of the Christ does not have God. The one who does remain in this teaching is the one who has both the Father and the Son." 2 Thessalonians 1:8 - "in a flaming fire, as he brings vengeance on those who do not know God and those who do not obey the good news about our Lord Jesus." 1 John 4:3 - "But every inspired statement that does not acknowledge Jesus does not originate with God. Furthermore, this is the antichrist’s inspired statement that you have heard was coming, and now it is already in the world."

"Second Temple in Palestine"?? What kind of geopolitical error! It was still the Judean Kingdom (even as Rome's vassal kingdom) before the Romans destroyed it in 70 AD and renamed the area Syria Palestina as an insult to the Jews and revenge for the rebellion against Roman rule.

* Are we wiser than God himself? Zephaniah 3:9 - "For then I will change the language of the peoples to a pure language, So that all of them may call on the name of Jehovah, To serve him shoulder to shoulder.’" * Wasn't it that the Assyrians once used this ancient language to scare Hezekiah's people? 2 Chronicles 32:18 - "They kept calling loudly in the language of the Jews to the people of Jerusalem who were on the wall, to make them afraid and to terrify them, in order to capture the city." * It's been prophesied that God will use foreign languages to make his people listen to him. 1 Corinthians 14:21 - In the Law it is written: “‘With the tongues of foreigners and with the lips of strangers I will speak to this people, and even then they will refuse to listen to me,’ says Jehovah.” * Rather, watch out for this foreign language that will cause fear among its people in the last days. For this would mean the modern Israel has strayed from God. Jeremiah 5:15 - “Here I am bringing in on you a nation from far away, O house of Israel,” declares Jehovah. “It is an enduring nation. It is an ancient nation, A nation whose language you do not know, And whose speech you cannot understand." Isaiah 28:11 - "So by means of those with stammering speech and a foreign language, he will speak to this people."
