@@DerekSmith-sk8brhow the hell does an American RU-vidr know what 'god' thinks from a translation of a translation of a translation of a story book written by humans 2000 years ago?
@@midlander4 That is the strength of the argument not the weakness. A multitude of manuscripts spread over a vast area and vast amount of time when all brought together, agree with each bar very minor copyist errors which do not affect the communicated message at all. My question to you is do you have an axe to grind with Christianity or are you sincerely seeking what is true or not?
@@DerekSmith-sk8br Christianity is no better or worse than other religions at exercising control over vulnerable people by appealing to religious texts that are at best heavily-embroidered accounts of historical events... or at worst pure fiction.
@@midlander4 The truth of God's word is that it is liberating not enslaving, I concede to you that many use it to manipulate others, but adequate self-study will find it true. This is why Martin Luther came into conflict with the Roman Catholic hierarchy; he simply studied the Bible and found their whole system in conflict with it. The veracity of the Bible's account needs to be investigated by you in a historical and archeological way, the results will surprise you. I wouldn't vouch for most of what is called Christianity today, but a protection against that is properly knowing what God has said through His word and you will not subject yourself to the abuses of wicked men charading as servants of God
