Hi Paul, I've been following you now for quite a while and must give you some feedback on your videos. I have watched numerous vlogs/diaries especially about the C2C and even though some have better image quality, you are by far the most entertaining of all. It feels like taking part in the walk, with all the information you give. Also, I am so glad there is no stock background theme :-) My wife and me are off to the C2C this weekend and the are absolutely excited. If only the weather forecast proves as wrong as yours, haha. What DO you actually do when you arrive early at your camp spot? I didn't really feel like watching anything that I downloaded, I was too lazy to listen to my audio books and too tired to read. I think I just stared 😂

If I'm pitching off the trail like in this video then its a case of sorting my gear out, have a coffee and maybe watch something on my phone. If I'm going to be pitching near to the trail then I normally wait until the day walkers have gone before pitching.

Hi Paul, another great and informative video! looks like you were lucky with the weather again. would be grate if you could include a bit more about you food and drink as that is always interesting and helpful to us other hikers. looked like a lovely camping spot!

Thanks for your comment. Finding places to stop for anything to eat on the trail isn't easy that's why I carried my own food, freeze dried meals, like the one I mention in this video.

Hi Paul. Thanks for replying. I know it's a bit sad but I actually like to see the type of freeze dried food hikers are eating and see what they think of it. Just gives me some ideas for future hikes. Greats video. Looking forward to next one

Just started watching this series. Actually, if you managed with the tent on the islands then that's good enough for me. How do you like that top quilt? I already have the rab neutrino 400 but when I get a warmer one I fancy myself a quilt. Sleeping bags seem to make less and less sense to me. I did find a very cheap seller on Ali express, though, I still have reservations about that

I really like the quilt. On the Hebridean Way I mainly used it like a hoodless sleeping bag but when its warmer I'll use it like a quilt.

I think, as far as blister plasters go, the expiry date is concerned to the adhesive on them. I've tried to use out-of-date ones, and they don't stick as well as they should.
