this took about 2 hours to do, there are probably some mistakes in it thag i didn't catch but it is what it is. ill eventually get to the sep. sax part
I’ve marched in 12/8 6/8 and 3/4 and it’s significantly easier than you expect, it’s just every measure starting on a different for 3/4 and 6/8 12/8 it’s just marching to the dotted quarter note like 4/4 or 2/4
To be quite honest, its not hard at all until you need to close on the other foot than you're used to and it can really mess with some people. Or if you're switching time signatures constantly it can be hard to get on the field.
Spring high alumni trombonist here: man, I gotta say that even after all these years of seeing these guys play, they still sound amazing!! I remember seeing the wind ensemble with our wind ensemble back in 2016 for the Midwest Clinic and it was awesome!!
This shows why the powerhouse highschools are as good as they are. Rightfully so. Good stuff from Hebron and Flower mound over the last couple of years.
Does anyone know if Hebron marches mostly large bore or small bore trombones because the thought of someone making that much sound on a small bore instrument feels very difficult
Ok now I'm just saying we had to go against Hebron at our 1st competition this year and my god some of the girls there got me down bad bro, they are honestly way better looking than the girls at heath I'll say
as an english band kid ive never been more jealous in my life ;-; there are maybe 5 people at my school who are this good across any instrument let alone a full band
I know this is high school and all but great show, but the scuffing of the feet is one of my pet peeves, and it just sounded like everyone was dragging their feet and not marching.
I am also a high schooler with a very advanced level in the trombone so I tried to sightread this and I just wasn’t able to get all the way through without stopping lol, I kept getting caught up at the double rounding part it’s just so difficult to do. Amazing work Hebron, one question though, are a lot of the kids in that band trained with private lessons or is the band director just that good
Edit: I can play the whole thing perfectly memorized along with their 2023 show with parts from the screamer trombone cam and the lead trombone cam. I can also now play all of the euphonium parts memorized as well (on euphonium)
Ready for another season of seeing you fellas perform. Wylie (my school) plays y’all September 2nd pretty sure. Best of luck at competitions and all of that jazz.
@Roleplex_ m.113 is very noticeable where the bass bone is majestic and has its own part lol. I saw many full transcriptions leaving out parts of the bass bone parts and ranges
Im not even from a Texas hs band and the highest parts of that show are written much higher than this for trombone. Like highest he plays is a b flat and the highest note I have to play on the show is 3 whole steps higher and we have to play it twice so it’s not that unlikely. To be fair our show was originally written for an open class drum core but still
@@biggitybiggity_boggs oooooooohhhhh, I’m sorry for my assumption. He had the top of the chord in that section that had the trombone section playing together. I feel bad😣
@@biggitybiggity_boggs hey I just wanted to say I saw you guys at the rose parade earlier this year, you guys sounded awesome . I was out there playing with the Salvation Army band in the parade. I was gonna come up and say something but we were in a little bit of a rush to eat and leave💀. You sounded great though, keep up the good work.
Im not great when it comes to percussion transcriptions, but you can go to my friends channel and ask him @ameal. His channel is on my homepage and he actually knows how to transcribe drumline books. If i try and do it it'll be horrendous
Musically, this stinks. Blatty, uncontrolled sound, terrible intonation, sloppy rhythms (resulting in sloppy ensemble). There is more to music than fast notes and loud volume.
