I wonder during this feud how did the promoters decide which team was the face & heel? Maybe by asking each team or by looking at the city it was done in Houston must have a large Mexican population.
They were heels in Oklahoma City almost to the point of being ANTI American Mexican wrestlers like the Sheepherders were. I still remember the local promos they cut, waiving the Mexican flag, playing their party noisemakers, talking about Mexican superiority--I mean, REALLY playing the heel angle!

Steve Keirn is another master wrestler whose every move looked good . I did not like the Skinner character but his matches were very good if you go back and look them up . Keirn , not Backlund , should have been WWF champion .
Hector should have been a bigger star . Chavo was internationally celebrated . Hector in my opinion was very nearly as good as Chavo but was bigger in a time when size mattered .
