This kiteboard tutorial explains the heelside backflip. This is in fact a front roll, using pop for take off and a backflip-like movement to create a fast, slightly-inverted rotation. Enjoy, love Alex.
Thank you for this great video! Could you please make a video about a Darkslide with a Backroll in the end and inverted Front- & Backrolls. I would highly appreciate it!
Thank you for the great tutorial again. Indeed I do have a suggestion for a trick tutorial. I struggle to figure out how to do a simple bar and posture switch in toeside to end up riding blind or the other way around - a switch from riding blind to toe by passing the bar around the body. I think that could be of interest to many.😘
Hello Jean-Pierre, this trick is much more difficult than a basic front roll. A basic front roll is where you hold the kite at 12 and roll mostly using the board (lifting the front knee early so the back of the board drags and rotates you) which is the simplest way to create rotation. The simple front roll is much easier as it's slower, you get more time to rotate and you land quite softly as long as the kite stays at a high angle. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iitw3CHZAgA.html You would want to learn that first plus also work on popping about 1m high without needing to raise the kite above 45deg. You'll find front rolls and popping in the main kitesurf playlist: ru-vid.com/group/PL41dAinz_9ZeaG5FJ_XU8vyBAE_HL_Cgl
Hi Scott, that is a very similar movement but I wouldn't call this a tantrum since it's hooked in, and it uses pop, and the kite's lift a little. Maybe if you did it unhooked you might call it a tantrum, especially if done with the kite low and a kicker of some kind.
