What an amazing watch!!! I'm a big fan of James Bond and wanted to have some similar watches, so I buyed the Cronos L6024, an hommage of the Tudor bb54 with 37 mm, is the closest to Connery's Rolex. Regards !
Thanks for the video Ray. I had never heard of this watch. As a huge Bond fan, I love the NTTD Omega. However, at $9,200 I will probably never have one unless my wife hits the lottery (she plays all the time, I don’t). I would never wear a counterfeit watch. This watch has a couple of differences from the Omega and is not a counterfeit as it has it’s own brand name and does not say Omega, claiming to be something it is not. As a homage watch, I don’t mind wearing it as the original is out of my reach. I love the fact that it is titanium. I don’t imagine many of the NTTD homage watches go to this extreme. None of the watches I currently own are titanium, so this is something new for me. I like the Seiko movement in this watch. It is an automatic that has hand winding and hacking which is nice. This Seiko movement is a workhorse. Yes Ray, that blue tint you see is an anti reflective coating. I do wish they had used a clear coating but it is not a deal breaker for me. Thanks to you posting this video and the fact that I can’t buy the Omega, I ordered the Heimdallr and I am waiting for it to arrive.
Here is an update on my watch. Of course I got the black NTTD version. Everything about my watch was perfect except the bezel was nearly impossible to turn. I broke the fingernail on my thumb and forefinger and got a blister on my forefinger trying to turn it the day I got it. After finding out about this watch on this review, I searched and watched other reviews about the watch. In the comment section of one of the reviews, someone posted that they had several Heimdallr watches and when he got one that has a bezel that is difficult to turn, he has found a remedy that seems to work. He said to put some dish soap in the crack between the bezel and the case. Turn the bezel for about five minutes or so. Then soak the watch in a warm water bath. He said it seems to remove dust particles from the manufacturing process. He also said he got sand in his bezel from a trip to the beach and this process cured that problem also. The day I got my watch I tried this not once, but twice. Damn if it didn’t work. My bezel now turns perfectly like a high dollar watch. I thought I should share this with my fellow members of the Bond community. Now my Heimdallr is perfect as it can be. I like it so much that I ordered the blue dial version. It resembles the blue dial Omega watch that Bond has worn in maybe five movies. Also, blue is one of my favorite colors and I think the blue dial is gorgeous. Of the watches I already own, none of them have a blue dial. I can’t wait to get it.
I'm sure the information presented in this video will be valuable to some of your viewers. I would point out for people who aren't aware, Omega time pieces, with few exceptions tend to depreciate significantly to more attainable price points as time wears on. Even screen accurate Omega time pieces worn in the Brosnan and Craig era of Bond films suffer significant value loss in many cases. So if prospective buyers really want an Omega timepiece like the ones used in the Brosnan and Craig era of Bond, they can be had without being quite so cost prohibitive as the No Time To Die limited edition timepieces. Saving for some of these pieces is no more difficult than what someone might set as a goal to buy a nice guitar. Even if your viewers aren't in the market to buy a used Omega in great condition with service records, the good news for many Bond fans is that Bond has worn a number of models of watches over the years that are certainly attainable. For the more budget-constrained buyer, brands like Seiko, Casio, and Hamilton are great options to get a timepiece used by our most beloved hero/spy if said fans can appreciate the era of Roger Moore. Ray, Love the Bond Armory videos. Just received this watch today and being new to automatic watches could you comment on how the watch is set the first time? Do I simply unscrew the crown counter clockwise to set the time and date and would I then screw the crown back down and then rotate clockwise to wind the watch the first time? And after the first time it's manually wound I assume that wrist movement will keep it wound?
That’s correct! First, pull the crown out one click and wind around 30 times or so and that will charge up your reserve. Then, stop the seconds hand as close to 12 as you can but pulling the crown the rest of the way. Then wind to the correct date and time and close the crown. That’s it! Simply wearing the watch keeps it going. Should you have to take it off, say, to go to sleep, the reserve should keep it going and still hold accurate time

Great video ray, I bought originally the pagani but eventually begged and borrowed and got the omega , however I really wanted the spectre watch but that's never gonna happen so off Amazon I got the corgeut spectre homage watch looks closer to the real deal than any other homage watch you should check it out ,it was only 150 pounds , anyway have a lovely evening .

The down side is no scratch resistant coating and without that the Titanium will scratch super easily, it's just the nature of titanium. Without the coating I wouldn't buy it.
There are a few other stainless steel homages that look nearly identical just without the Omega logo. The Heimdallr is close enough that it’s not an exact copy and it’s titanium like the Omega. So it not only looks the part, it feels it as well. So to me, yes, this is the best No Time to Die homage
@@TheBondArmory yeah exactly it’s not an exact copy and has the old omega bond watch date at the bottom too which is a bonus I think and the titanium’s case it’s the deal sealer for me! What’s the dome glass with the blue hue like in person? Is it off putting or does it add abit of character to the watch and look good? I can order it free delivery but takes like 2 months I think it says how long did yours take to come? There’s an option to deliver between 3 to 14 days for $30? I used the $30 discount code you said so might just do that! So that will bring it back upto $239
@@richardlittle9975 too be honest, I don’t even notice the anti-reflective hue. I opted for the free shipping and had it inside of a month in the US. Many people that ended up ordering have had it in the same time frame. I wouldn’t spend more for priority shipping
I think you missed the part where I said it’s close enough without being a clone or knockoff. The Sea Ghost is the same material and has a similar color way, but it also features a date window that the Omega lacks.
