In this review, I'm going to take a look at another non-alcoholic beer on the channel, and it comes from Heineken Brouwerijen B.V. (‪@heineken‬), and it's their Heineken 0.0. Even though they're calling this a Malt Beverage with natural flavor, they're trying to replicate -- to some degree, anyway -- their Heineken Lager Beer, which is a European Pale Lager, just without the alcohol. This beer has been recommended to me numerous times, so I've finally decided to give it a go. Will I enjoy it? Let's find out!

comparing zero H to real H is like comparing protected sex to unprotected sex. For most people is there a point to comparing the two "beers" since the later option isn't an option (for health reasons)

No doubt! I think it's fun to do for a video, but most of the NA beers don't compare to the regulars. Nothing wrong with that, and your analogy is hilarious (but accurate). I do think this does a decent job at reproducing Heineken without alcohol, though. Same with Guinness. Cheers!

It's not my favorite N/A beer, but it's as close as you can probably get to the OG version. Definitely could see it being refreshing and enjoyable when you want a beer fix without the alcohol. Cheers, Dan!

Interesting review. I guess if you mix half of one with half of the other you would get 2.5% abv. I'll take the regular Heineken. Cheers.

LOL, Ralph! This is basically for Heineken drinkers who need/want a non-alcoholic version is certain situations, and I think they did a great job with it. I don't drink Heineken enough for me to really want this one, but it's pretty impressive how close they go. Cheers, man!

I never did a true side by side comparison. But I’ve had them days apart. I can barely make out a difference. I bet I could be fooled if somebody handed me the NA version in a glass.

I think the "hop bite" on the finish is the only real difference. I feel like if someone is a hardcore Heineken drinker, but wants some N/A options, this would work for them. I'm curious how Guinness vs. Guinness 0.0 will fair, though. Cheers, Ryan!

I’ve been trying out N/A beers more recently, and I’m usually a lager drinker. it seems like the lagers are able to stand up to the de-alcoholizing process more than something full bodied. I’ve not been disappointed by an N/A lager yet. Guinness is the only exception to my lager rule, and the N/A version is respectable, but after having a lot of the real thing it’s just kind of disappointing.

Yeah, I feel like it's hard to recreate the bigger bodies of a lot of other styles that need it. That N/A Guinness was really good, for sure. I've been trying more and some have been good, others have been poor. Just posted a review today of BrewDog's Faux Fox Raspberry, which is a Raspberry Berliner Weisse, and it tasted nothing like a beer at all. Cheers, Robert!
