Eu ouvi apenas algumas delas, justamente as que subi aqui no RU-vid. Infelizmente a visualização da que mas gostei foi interditada por reclamação de direitos autorais, trata-se da 12ª. A de que menos gostei foi a 10ª, uma vasta obra coral difícil de ser digerida totalmente (mesmo assim tentei subir o Scherzo dessa obra, mas a visualização não é possível).
Very clear tunes in this symphony. It starts with a pleasant but dynamic andante. The lento is concentrated on its melodic and harmonic flavours, but does not inpire inquiet feelings, like in many romantic symphonies. It is a very profound song. The allegretto and allegro meet their objectives. All in all, an excellent symphony.
Very vivid with a lyric background, as most of time in Villa Lobos symphonies, choros, etc. One cannot say that Villa Lobos is a virtuoso of orchestration, but his orchestra is always very well used, which is the essential thing. The motives are always fluid, the harmony is never rendered by thick ordhestral structures. This art is always in movement, up to the last chord.
