Aviva Siegel woke up to a horror like no other on October 7th as she and her husband Keith were abducted by Hamas terrorists as they stormed into Israel, murdering families and taking hostages. In unimaginable conditions they barely survived the horrors underground. After 51 days she was released in the only hostage exchange of this war. Her husband is still held hostage and his welfare is unknown. More need to hear this story. Please share this podcast and pray for Keith and over 100 other hostages to return home soon!

Heartbreaking. The world needs to hear over and over. These students protesting for Hamas need to have to hear the stories of the hostages. American government has failed in this whole scenario. I also was closely following Hersh's parents daily sharing. We all believed as they did that he would return to them alive. Sadly, he did not and this too was a 'gut punch' to many of us who experienced Hersh as family. I'm contemplating deeply why have those Israelis who actively served as peace activists, who practiced social justice with Gazans, recognizing their humanity, serving to end inequalities and heal harms, who took time to learn and communicate in Arabic, to drive Gazans who needed medical care to Israel and back, who provided food and clothing, and help in many forms, who refused to dehumanize all Gazans, why did Hamas choose to harm these particular Israelis? Some people don't want healing between G Gazan people and Israelis. people. Some want to perpeturate hate and war, and walls rather than build effective, sustainable structures of mutual benefit.

If you listen to some of the other hostages accounts. Some of them were treated kindly and well. As much as that can be luck of the drawer, some of the hostages with the worst attitudes towards Palestinians had bad experiences, & that’s no coincidence. This is lit a sweet lady- her Afrikaneers accent indicates a certain attitude & politics.

Why did they say they built the tunnels for themselves and the civilians aren't their problem? Why did they built tunnels under children's bedrooms? Why FOR YEARS they launch rockets at Israel, knowing that about third, if not more, malfunction and fall back on their territory killing people?! that's what happened in Al Shifa hospital as well. When they blamed it on the Jews - 700 civilians were killed, all bodies miraculously counted within five minutes. Then when the truth came out how it was a failed PIJ rocket, all of a sudden it actually hit the hospital's parking lot and the casualties were between 50-200 from what I've heard. They have billions of dollars, what did they do with all that money for the children of Gaza, except putting them in danger and brainwashing them to kill Jews in exchange for 72 virgins in Heaven, essentially robbing them of a future? And here's another question - if they care about the mosque in Jerusalem so much, how come they never have a problem firing at the holy city? Do you think the rockets have eyes to see where they land?

I have listened to a few over the months; in Hebrew and English. I will be praying specifically, for Keith, as well as the return of all hostages. I'm up now, praying, finding time before the day interrupts prayer; though I pray at the washing, and as I do my tasks too. איכפת לי עלייך There is much I could say... I've struggled with issues לגבי צמרת ישראל since I watch the first lockdown protest on מוצא שבת round about May 2020.. on רשת ב And since the forced vax etc. I cannot stop that struggle, but I continually hand it over to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. The G♡D of Israel does not slumber; nor sleep. Vengeance (and Judgement) is in His hands.. It's in Deuteronomy, and e.g. Psalm 73 and Isaiah 63. When He moved to judge it will be swift and decisive. When He cuts, it is as a master surgeon. Please know that Israel has a Living G♡D and He promised His Messiah; and gave... and we will see Him.. read Psalm 2; תהילים ב (It was the first Hebrew text I set myself to study when I signed up for Biblical Hebrew some years ago.. I found it did say ונסחתי את בני על ציון הר קודשי . And I will set my son on Tsion; my holy mountain. There is a lovely passage 're setting the captives free; I think Isaiah 61. One for Israel featured this song-prayer about 2 years ago. It is very moving. Our hope is in Him; our comfort is in Him. I'm praying. It's beyond comprehension; the wickedness.
