Thanks for posting artful information instead of gear reviews! Keep at it and I hope your subscription numbers rise quickly. Helen Levitt seems to have been a very interesting photographer. I also liked your comment that street life has changed since her early times due to the advent of television and air conditioning! I hadn't thought of why that change came about other than it did, but think you are absolutely right.

Thank you! I am glad you liked it! Yeah apart from aesthetics there are often specific factors for times in history influencing the scene. Thats why ( in my opinion) we are often fascinated by old photos - because the “look” is so different.

Hi, I just browsed over your video and found it really interesting. I think my favourite photo would be... those four kids climbing up the door pillars (0:49). But also I really liked the lady hidden in the buggy or those two kids by the chewing gum machine. Those are great moments captured on the photo, funny, you can look at them and start creating stories, what probably happened and what will happen. Never heard of her before but I am glad I did now.

All About Street Photography Yes, Milwaukee has an impressive collection of post WWII street photography. They have Helen Levitt and other great photographers. Ted Croner & William Klein are some of my favorites.
