That was by far the best ice I have ever skated on - what an experience. Be sure to read the NY times article to get the full story on this. If you know Brad Friesen, you'll know the next video will be even more epic. Thanks for allowing me to be a part of it. It's a day I'll never forget!
You know what's so epic about this? The "helicopter my stuff to the top of a glacier to play hockey" part. Brad let e fly over this lake with him when it was thawed out. It was quite an adventure. I can only imagine what this was like. Read the NYTimes article if you get a chance.
I thumbs downed this twice because I wasn't invited. Just kidding, love the video. It's only a matter of time until your followers match the quality of the videos you make. You'll be at 100 000 in no time!
That's awesome. I have this deep respect for heli pilots, it takes a shit ton of dedication to even begin to master the craft and even more flight hours. You rock, have a sub.
Incredible video. Just watching that from my desk chair was unreal...I can only imagine what the actual experience must have been like. If you ever need goalie in the future, I hereby volunteer my services!
How have I not know about you yet? I love flying and hockey. I've looked up videos for each on RU-vid, yet never once saw your channel for either. Well, that is fixed! Thanks smarter everyday for helping me figure out this awesome channel exist. SUBSCRIBED!
Greetings, le Reddit army! Also, greetings to you, video creator. This was a quite lovely presentation, if I may say so myself. I tip my fedora to you, good sir. In addition, to those of you who chose to 'dislike' this fine video, I hope you do ponder on your actions. A lady will never fornicate with one who 'dislikes' such fine creations as this video.
so jealous! Looks amazing. Great work Brad! I am sure this was no easy task to organize and make happen. Well done! P.S. if you're ever on the east coast of the U.S. hit me up and ill take you to a few beautiful ponds. By car though, not helicopter, sorry.
This is why I lived in bc. I live in canada canada and the best ive got within a 2km radius (which is as far as im willing to go without a car from my house with all that gear) is a maybe 100 x 60 ft pond. Freezes into some nice Ice but Shovelling the snow is a chore and instead of mountains all we have is a fence surrounding sections of it along with some roads
