I too have the Alice Pack ... Great piece of kit the individual pouches encourages tidy packing ... I have gone light and heavy-duty and it always suprises me how much kit you can fit. Great Review all round.

There is something to be said for a no no nonsense modular system like this. To the naysayers concerned about weight I'll say this. If one is out enjoying bush crafting sorts of activities then one is typically travelling relatively short distances, but carrying much more weight in cookware/tools than a long distance hiker is going to be carrying. I engage in both of those activities and I can tell you that when I'm heading out to participate in the latter, especially in mountainous terrain, there are many things that are removed from my pack to save weight because it makes no sense whatsoever to be carrying those items up several thousands of feet of elevation. How's the saying go? Ounces on the back equal pounds on the feet over time and distance? Guess I've heard it the other way too with heavy shoes that added ounces on the feet equals pounds on the back. Maybe both hold some truth? But I will say this, even if paring down my weight for a distance hike in the mountains I still find it convenient to use a few light pouches for anything that might be going over an open fire, my toilet kit, and perhaps one for a small possibles pouch to keep track of frequently needed small items. Sure, I could do without the added ounces, but I weigh those ounces against the convenience, tidiness, and preservation of my pack. Each person has to make that decision for themselves. If not for you, that's fine, then don't. But don't seagull David's products simply because their use does not align with your personal beliefs/philosophy about gear weight. And if you're wondering what I mean by seagulling David's stuff? It's a term I've heard associated with someone that flies in, craps all over everything, and then flies off again. Don't be a seagull. ;-)

Can you make them in the "colours of prepping" for quick identification? Orange = fire etc? (Refer to TheUrbanPrepper)
@Zedoutdoors
@Zedoutdoors Год назад
Thats a very good suggestion Fiona, I believe he's not currently offering a varied colour selection simply due to sourcing the right material. However, he's always testing new variations so I will relay your suggestion to him. Sincerely appreciate you watching and for your insight ...btw I also like TheUrbanPreppers channel! ~Peace~
