The Neon Handshake is still in my top 10 albums of all time :D no matter how many times I listen to it I still find it as fresh and exciting as the first day I bought it. Shame they never quite 'made it' :(
lol 7 59 am ive just woken up, and i had hell is for heroes in my mind. i remembered they had a song i loved. it was the mountain is fo climbing. its weird to see, other people have just had the same waking up + urge to check an old song they forgot !!!! lol
What a track! what an album! The neon handshake was a breath of fresh air in a world of boring rap metal when it came out, one of the most underrated albums ever, shut up, grow up and turn it up is what I say. Respect to HIFH, they kick ass and if it wasn't for record labels telling people the arctic spunkys are good so they can sell shit for top dollar, Hell is for heroes would be huge.
Well, the Libertines weren't so bad. Still, sounds like this were among those of my college days, along with Tom Vek, Max Tundra, QOTSA and Queen Adreena. Good times for me, especially when there was a lot of bad stuff going on in my life.
way way beter than any other shite I was listning to at that time. only thing I still like, the rest I'd say is pretty poor. why ih why did I ditch this CD.
"(Insert band) was the (greatest/most underrated) band ever, (insert era) was awesome but now music is just (insert derogitory term)!" Ugh, good grief. Copy-paste this unoriginal bullcrap on any music video you see and become instantly popular.
I don't think that at all. They kept making good music, there are some amazing songs on their follow-up releases--their timing was just shit. Sadly they got washed away by all the indie rock piss that became so popular with the masses.
