I'm glad to see the body launches from the shotgun still happen. That makes it worth it to use along with it not being nerfed like in any other game. It provides real utility as long as you use it correctly. Devastating weapon. My heart belongs to shotguns!
Shotguns rarely get love from the developers, they just nerf them so they are only effective from 5 meters. The only game that really give them love was Rising Storm 2: Vietnam, the Vietnamese double barrel gave you the option to change to slug ammo and you could dome a dude from long range.

Another video under the belt. Have to say this is the best so far. Shotguns are such a magnificent piece of technology that is mostly miss represented in most games. I love my shotguns, and they are like the F-18 of guns.
I really enjoy the shotgun. It has surprisingly good range. I’ve gotten kills up to 120 meters with it. I find it easier to hit a moving target with the shotgun. For those that don’t know it fires 6 buckshot pellets in game.
Shotgun needs the right places for it. I wouldn't use it in Foy because of all the open areas where riflemen can snipe me, but in hedgerow or urban maps it's devastating.
The problem with the shotgun is I can't think of any time I've gotten a kill with it where I wouldnt have got the same kill with any other weapons. But there have been plenty of times where I would have got the kill should I have had any other weapon.
No, it isn't worthy in the terms of efficency. Is it a funny meme weapon? Hell ya, it is. But you won't see it in competitve HLL unless there is a need for ap mines and a satchel. The hitreg is inconsitency, sometimes even at short range. Reload time is horrible, mag size is low. There is no point in taking it over a m1 garand, maybe not even the m1 carbine. It's an okayish weapon for the lolz and it's fun to play. But it isn't efficient and reliable? no, but still better than the mess of a flamethrower we got
