She left out the study groups where your peers help you. Evidence based medicine is also a better way to learn. I had to do it the old fashioned way - basic sciences with no patient contact first year and systems again with no patient contact second year. It ain't that bad now guys!
I love how these med students musical numbers are all about total abscence of free time and yet here they are -- writing, rehearsing, performing, filming loads of songs. I really admire you guys.
My excessive curiosity led me to find out where some of the cast are now: - Charlotte Delaney - paediatrics residency at University of Massachusetts Medical Center - Samuel Kiernan - orthopaedic surgery residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine - Evan Tamura - family medicine doctor in Pico Rivera, California - Karen Hsu - resident physician in the departments of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai
I'm not in med school nor am I interested in getting into it, but I love this parody! Idk why but the "when they test creatinine" part always makes me laugh.
This is fucking GENIUS. Well done, on all counts! Hilarious lyrics and characters, good camera quality, excellent choreography and the singing is top notch! A+ for this one!
Glad to see that parodies are still an AECOM tradition. This one was amazing!! Made me wish I was back at Einstein. Our performance, circa 1982, was "Monty Einstein and the HIgh Pass-Fail". Keep having fun, singing and maintaining such a great sense of humor! Good luck on part 1 and have fun on the wards. David Schulman, Class of "84
In a month I’m starting med school, so I’m binge watching med school musicals like this to distract myself from the fact that in order to pass the first semester I need to do two physics courses.
Could someone explain why in the US year two is the worst like is there some test or something? Because my second year is still like anatomy, physiology, hystology, embriology, biochemistry and pathology. Third year on the other hand is when we start going to the hospital with semiology and internal medicine along with horrible and hellish pharmacology.
Second year is much easier than 3rd year. That's not to say it is easy! (This song is meant to be humorous.) You study all the time - okay - that's what you signed up for - but 3rd year and internship are pure hell because of the enforced sleep deprivation. Internship is worse than 3rd year, because you are a doctor and there's no intern to ask your questions to, because you ARE the intern. It is terrifying. Graduated medical school, Class of 1987.
Oh off course, internship is hell all round the world hahaha, but I've seen a couple of this videos talking about second year and I wonder what topics do you guys study in that year that makes it so awful
Oh, I see. For me, MS2 was easier than MS1 and much easier than MS3. The only courses that drove me sort of nuts were both in first year: histology, which is 50 Shades of Pink (I stole that joke from someone), and neuroanatomy, all grey, white, grey, white, grey....
Yep. I am a good student, but I don't tolerate extreme sleep deprivation very well. Don't tolerate it now, never did, not even 35 years ago when I was young, strong, and healthy.
