Excellent camera work, clear explanation, and audio/ annunciation crisp. Felt surface for the dice was a nice touch. The contrast of green for the enemy characters was helpful. I liked how you didn’t rush the process. I really appreciate your work overall.
Thanks so much for making this video! It took me about 2 hours to play this scenario while trying to learn from the rulebook and although I enjoyed it, it was quite tedious! However, from watching you play, it looks like I might have missed quite a few things or played quite a bit incorrectly. I'll have to give it another go because it looked way more fun/enjoyable after seeing how you played it! Thanks again!
Dale, you’ve posted a lot of content for Hellboy. Have you ever considered a loose Buyer’s Guide for the game? Or an expansion ranking/rating? I just got Mexico because it was on sale, but I don’t know where to go from here. Maybe Wild Hunt or Darkness Calls or BPRD Archives? I don’t know. Like you, I mostly play solo. 😊
@@DaletheCasualGamer Yes, I have the KS version bought second-hand on BGG and added Wild Hunt. Still thinking about late pledging the recent KS for more stuff. I've played through the first few scenarios in the core game so far. I really enjoy the dice mechanics. Side note, I've seen the movie but also started reading the comic omnibuses as well. Good stuff!
Fantactic, thank you for Hellboy! Information for you, when you play the 1st scenario, don't play with only 2 agents. I highly recommend 4 (no spoiler).
By the way, I just noticed you provided links to your equipment. Thanks for that. Seeing that you're putting out such great videos with such reasonable equipment is pretty inspiring as I ponder getting my channel back up and running.
@@jayplays4215 You'll need to get the game played, my dice have betrayed me. And your welcome. I'm a gamer, not a "youtuber". I really haven't spent much money on this venture, although I have bought more games with the thought of "this will be good for the channel". I need to stop that! :)
@@DaletheCasualGamer No way man! That's what a RU-vid channel is for! I made mine because I was unemployed and had free time while I looked for work, and it felt weird playing solo in a quiet room. It definitely turned into a justification for saying "yes" to game purchases I wanted to get but couldn't find a group for. :)
Is it wrong for me to think this would be a light game palette cleanser for a game night? Perhaps not with a larger map. Still it moves fairly fast even with the constant rulebook referencing. I does feel like the comic tho.
@JJE McManus Once you understand the basics ... it's a light game with great Hellboy theme. Just know this is the "easy and short" game. The other scenarios are still light ... just will be not easy, and not short on time. ;)
