Really like how you compared the velocity between the 2 I've been wondering about that and you are the first one I've seen do it.. good job thank you for that helped me make my decision believe I'm gonna go with the pro.
Without watching the video I would pick a non-comp Hellcat pro, just for the flush 15 round mags. I do need to find a HP in a lgs and see how it fits. Thanks for the video!
Sold my hellcat pro to get a Sig macro tacops. Now all four of my sig mags are rusting from the inside and outside. I think I even found a little bit of rust on the slide. I clean my firearms and wipe down my mags a couple times a month. It's better treatment than I ever gave the hellcat pro and I never had issues with the pro. Having said all that, the Sig has been far more pleasant to shoot than the hellcat pro. Just wish it was better quality.
I actually have a strong desire to see the Sig continue to be a failure. They put a mediocre quality guns out on the market at a premium price and zero consideration for the safety of their customers. Why mediocre quality? I can make a list if anyone is interested. Its like packaging a piece of shit in nice wrapping. But dont forget.. its modular😉
After watching this I still think the Hellcat Pro Comp shoots just ever so slightly flatter... I admit I'm biased against SIG striker fired pistols, generally, but I do think the X-macro is a good pistol... What I would like to see is the Shield Plus PC vs these two, for a three-way comparison... I found the Shield Plus to be slightly less snappy than the X-macro and Hellcat Pro (non-comp). But I am a S&W guy. My personal EDC rotation includes the Shield 40 and 45, FN Reflex, Hellcat Pro and a couple of 1911's. I traded a SIG X-macro for the Hellcat Pro because I like the feel of it better, and generally think it's a better gun than the SIG. My Shield Plus went to my daughter because she didn't care for how snappy her Ruger EC9 was. At some point I will aquire a Shield Plus again and work it into my EDC rotation.
I love the shield plus but I don't like the grip texturing on my skin because it seems to rub more than the others. So I always end up carrying the Sig P365 serious, Hellcat Pro Comp or regular, or Glock 43X.
X Macro is nice but that’s why the Spectre Comp is my EDC. You get a full 3 finger grip and never have to worry about the bigger grip printing but it will accept the larger mags
Monsoon Tac did the comp and porting on my Hellcat pro…I do have the 365 xMacro comp as well. I did upgrade the trigger on the hellcat, where as my 365 is a stock trigger. I think both shoot pretty flat and Sig is a little more concealable.
Had the Sig P365X Macro and it shot great, just had others I liked better. I have the HCP with and w/o Comp/ported barrel now and like it as well. I was carrying a SS CR920P but now have the CR920X and wish I had the CR920P still so I could have put that slide on the CR920X grip but I assume SS will release soon enough but..... I think you could not go wrong with either Sig or HCP Comp. But I do shoot my CR920X better than either HCP I have.
2 of the best carry guns out, im not a fan of comps on pistols but the x macro tac and regular hellcat pro are my favs, hellcat pro is the most reliable handgun I have ever owned besides glock that will run all hollowpoint brands, x macro is nice but 3.1" barrel comped.... no thanks, I want velocity 😂 give me 3.7" barrel none comped thank you!
@@datdude1076 I have the original Hellcat,Hellcat Pro and 365 Tacops. Hellcat Pro is the best of all and the trigger is great. Hellcat Pro is my EDC. The Hellcat Pro has the best grip, best sights and best overall pistol for me.
So it (Sig) feels flatter, but it might be due to the drop in velocity. This isn't the first time I seen a Sig velocity test where it was always at a slower velocity then it's competitors. Interesting. I got the 365X, 365 Macro, and XTen. I also have a PDP-F 4" as well. That HCPC is a very compelling buy! Thank you!
I'm concerned with the Macro's penetration. He's using 115 grain range ammo shooting well under 1,000 fps. If he used 124 or 147 grain it will be even less fps. So shooting thru thicker clothes, jackets, denim wear could be a concern for max penetration in my opinion. Until I see those reviews otherwise. I am a Sig and Springfield fan. I own both brands.
I have a P365 with a Shalotek slide, the comp lets me shoot 115g+P and 124g+P no problem...just carry a hotter round, or a round known for good penetration. For the size of my setup, it shoots really damn well.
Both seem to shoot flat but for me it appears the Hellcat has just a little less muzzle flip. Surprised by the velocity difference; Hellcat going to have a bit more ft lbs of energy because of the longer barrel. 👍
Yeah overall they're comparable but the Hellcat does seem to have a little bit less flip. It was hard to tell honestly but watching the video you can see that the hellcat is doing a tad better. Plus like you said you get more velocity out of the Hellcat which makes me want to carry it more.
My Pops bought me the Hellcat Pro with the threaded compensator. I thought I would dislike the feel of shooting with a small dumbbell on the end of the barrel. I love how the HCP shoots, and I don’t even notice the compensator. It makes no difference in drawing from a holster, either. I can only imagine having the barrel AND slide ported would feel like a zip gun after several shots. Does it still stay smooth, or does it end up fatiguing the inner dominate hand?
@9MilRidge I know everyone is different and likes different things but I have not had 1 person out of maybe 25 that have shot it complain I've had glock guys canik guys and smith guys and they all loved it
I have several models sig p365 legion and the hellcat pro comp legion shoots a hair softer. Stainless guide rods will reduce the muzzle flip some more havent tried a smith and wesson 2.0 comp yet.
I've found that my PC Shield Plus 4" ported barrel with its fiber optic sights does a good job of taming recoil. But a big part of that is the longer grip from front to back allowing you to really clamp down on the grip better. But my P365 & P365XL also does a pretty decent job as well so there really isn't that much difference. I pocket carry the P365 (with a manual safety) as it is a hair smaller than my 3.1" Shield Plus. And with a safety on it I don't use a holster so it hides very well, even when using the longer barrel out of my P365XL. Shoots well, & accurate. I have run all these pistols through IDPA competitions & all do a good job. So choose the one you like. Practice is what really makes the biggest difference when it comes to shooting fast & accurately. (I shoot my P365XL & 4" PC Shield Plus about as good as my P10F in competition).
I got Spectre comp as soon as it was avaiable, later upgraded grip module to Xmacro. In my opinion that "comp" sig has is worthless, working on video where I try different ammo , but as cool as it is , it does not whole lot for recoil,/muzzle rise , at least in my hands
@@9MilRidge Yea it makes sense. I thought about grabbing the Hellcat Pro Comp and seeing if the trigger felt any different, but I literally just sold the regular Hellcat Pro so I think I prefer to wait for the Shadow Systems CR920XP
I have both, tired of plastic framed guns. Gonna get a 365 Legion see how that is. Would love to get a Bul Armory but ya can’t so maybe a Staccato 🤷🏽♂️
