It you watch it again you will see they left at the same time but the GT500 was spinning on street tires vs the Hellcat launching on drag wheels/tires big difference on a prepped track no way the GT500 would in a drag race on street tires...
They need to let whoever is driving the gray Challenger, drive all the other cars. He seems to be the only one that knows how to launch when the light turns green
yeah and if they switched cars the Challenger would still win don't you see the drag pack on the challenger lol you can't win a drag race on street tires vs a car with similar power setup on a drag pack... and you watch the rear wheels of the GT500 you will see he went at the same time as the Challenger traction matters.
@Bagged_Hemi it's not stock like a Gt500 is. It has aftermarket builds on it. I work for Dodge. Doesn't mean 100% Stock. Means aftermarket parts where super came from. Now build the Gt500 like this and again like Stock for Stock it will beat it. Everyone needs 100% aftermarket parts to beat a Gt500 that is already Stock built.

I have a '23 Super Stock. But I don't think Mine will go 8 seconds in the 1/4 as it is now... Haven't run it yet, but I hope to get to it's 10.5 standard when I do.
Not really a fair race these are in 2 totally different classes. If the slicks & chute vs stock cup 2's don't give it away then idk what else to say lol. It's 2024, anything can be made to go fast with $$$.

That Challenger isn't stock or super stock. It has about 10k added on it. I seen it in person. It seems as always need a well built aftermarket Challenger to beat a Gt500. Stock vs Stock Gt500 smokes any Challenger and Charger. Been proven. Either way I am more an Old School racer. My Formula would smoke both these.
@Lowe376slow get some education ok. Aftermarket parts isn't stock period. I work for Dodge as there Mechanic so I know Stock. Gt500 will smoke any Stock Challengers and Chargers. Even my Formula will. Super Stock is a word to lie about The facts it isn't Stock just the body is Stock.

You must not know how hard it is to launch a gt500 without going on the red light. There’s a delay between the launch so you have to find the sweet spot so you don’t get disqualified for running on red.

@themarathoncontinues2289 I'm not 💩on a hellcat. They are fast cars. The sole purpose of a Demon is a straight line. It was built specifically for the drag strip. The 500 is a jack of all trades, it will perform on curvy roads also.
