@@BisexualPlagueDoctor What difficulty and what faction? I've done 10s against both and the only time I've lost was when they cheated on the old map or snuck a close bot drop / breach that spawned multiple bile titans.
Automatons: *Drop in a tank. and some regular troops* Me: "Yeah, that's fine." Automatons: *Drop in a Factory Strider.* Me: "A bit challenging, but fine." Automatons: *Drops in another tank and another Factory strider.* Me: "Oh Jesus, final wave I suppose? Alright, Joel." *Small break in between, as the guys manage to defeat the two tanks and two factory striders.* Me: "Alright, not too bad." Automatons: *Sends in another Factory Strider.* Me: "Oh, okay, now this is getting out of hand, they already took down two of them-" Automatons: *Sends in two more Factory Striders.* Me: "Wait, WTF?" Automatons: *Sends in two more tanks and another factory strider.* Me: "Are you KIDDING ME?!?" Automatons: *Sends in another Factory strider for good measure.* Me: "OH COME ON! This is getting RIDICULOUS!!!
@@plumaloy No he’s apart of the statistics team, and I must say, sweet liberty, he’s right, we are being played with by Automatons. We must be careful, they are testing the waters.
Yeah, this when the enemy realizes they don't need to spawn OUTSIDE your base, they can just drop right on top of you just like the Amazing and Magnificent Haildivers!
@@giratina2825 I didn't bleed for the Creek. I was bled for. Just one of the few citizens rescued by helldivers... Helldivers who streamed spectacular missions on lvl 9, and fought some of the first Factory Striders, meaning they caught "Joel's" attention. (I joined one day too late but spectated the whole Creek through my badass D&D friends lol)
@@prabhav1788 Not quite. They came in waves of three every three seconds. It was horrific and the devs did a quickpatch within 48 hours. You can still find videos discussing the issue, though the community wasn’t fully engaged yet.
That’s crazy. That mission type is 100% hands down the hardest mission type right now by a landslide. What’s even crazier is that Joel could just do that if he wants too. He can 100% just make a group of helldivers lose the game if he wanted
He doesnt even have to. He can just flip a planet to the other faction. Why bother interfering with players if the story demands a planet to fall, when he can just flip a switch? ...looking at you Menkent line..
@@gorbthegreatmind2422 he pretty much made me lose. 7/8 going well, held at the 2nd gate. In comes 6 factory striders and 2 rocket tanks at the same time
@@Rozemyne2314 as someone who never joins missions, only starts them. If I see that god forsaken mission on my roster there is NO way I’m gonna select that roster. On bug planets it’s way easier but still a good challenge even on higher difficulties. But id rather go back to saving pedestrians on melevelon creek than do these missions on the automaton front
@@gorbthegreatmind2422 Its incredible how this mission could easily be the best mission available if only they spawned enemies 300m away in a canyon and had the enemies march across an open field or through a valley to the Helldivers, instead of spawning units so close to the defense objective that if you called in an airstrike on the new units, you would hit the objective. That's such shit design and I genuinely despise Arrowhead fir making this mission this incredibly anti-fun
@@williamturner7131 it’s fun, it’s just more challenging. And if you have good communication and good strategy’s you can keep them far away from the objective and call as many airstrikes you want
Top 10 worst rocket sentry placement right there. Just 5 meters forwards and it wouldnt waste litterally all its ammo on a rock. Hurts my inner sentry soul.
That happened to me on the bug side not long ago. There was a Bile Titan spawning every minute, accompanied by at least two chargers and one impaler per Titan
Remember when AH said they fixed that "glitch?" I remember and look how they just decided to drop on top of the defense objective and cause an immediate loss. I'm glad to AH fixing these "glitches" and making the game playable.😂
I played a game like this yesterday. There were 7 striders that got dropped on our heads all at once back behind us and up on the landing zone pad like this. Tanks, Hulks, you name it flooding the place. We failed the objective in the first 2 minutes lol. Mission is broken somehow
there were no anti air build.... recoilless rifel eat and commando on 1 guy with an orbital strike or gattling barrage, can take down a lot of drop Ships.
I had similar at one point where an alarm triggered with us suddenly facing down 3 factory striders ones heart just sinks as one witnesses each landing.
They are dropping back there because you are not at the front line areas. Stay between the first doors you can close and the second set. If anyone of your people are past the second fallback position they will start dropping back there
You had every door open you needed to keep last two doors closed plus the Speer would be better then the heavy machine gun not to mention why do you and your squad spam mechs when level 10 defense requires more attention and mech are bad call for that at that point you should have used 500k bomb instead of the mechs. People may not like meta builds but hey they work on level 10
scene like this has happened all over galaxy, right n- wait.. in the past, before the patch, during the dark time. usually was at 5th wave, bots started messing around.. but this not even start rocket launch yet..
explain me this stupidity. When big strider comes, you should prioritize shooting off its machine guns, not shoot its armor and then leave your position. If you take care of machine guns, you can walk in front of it and do whatever you like.
proff that the devs doon't even bother testing and the times they do its on easy mode. its why i never play defence missions at all. whats worse is its not even sorted for solo so you just get all of it and yer get 350 kills i got 125. mission compleat because the ai killed them selves over 200 times as i lay on a rock throwing air strikes praying they do not shoot though the rock AGAIN.
Looks like u were playing on a planet that requires "Defending". When a planet is under attack the bot drops are crazy because their numbers are too overwhelming on the planet.
