Helldivers 2 Matchmaking How to Get it to Actually WORK - Matchmaking Helldivers 2 Tips
Helldivers 2 matchmaking has been busted since the game released and despite the developers putting out hotfixes players are still receiving the Helldivers 2 failed to join game lobby error pop up so in this video we're going through how to fix failed to join game lobby Helldivers 2 so you can actually play co-op with random players.
The developers have said they're working on fixing quickplay for the Helldivers 2 matchmaking but it could take them a few more days so this is currently the best chance you have of playing Helldivers 2 co-op and hopefully the developers can put out full fixes for the issues soon.

Can confirm turning crossplay off made me INSTANTLY find a match (and then the person kicked me from their lobby 5 seconds later and queue times went back up to taking forever 😭)

The problem you had, I wonder if its the same as me. Im a newbie so forgive me if I sound stupid. When I try to start or join a group, I cant seem to be able to accept friend invites and they cannot accept mine...is that the issue that you had? Or was it something completely different?

I bought into the hype and picked up this game yesterday and aside from the fact that you gotta wait hours every time you boot it up then it forces you to play solo despite the fact that the servers are full it’s pretty fun. Just wish it was playable

Same, and it doesn’t show the sos signals from other players on the planet, so I can’t join random people no matter what, even when I place my sos, also my daily and main mission are hella bug , I don’t even had a daily mission yesterday and the main mission it’s bug in 2/8 I can’t get it pass that and I’ve played a lot of defending missions with the bots :((

It would be awesome if someone who can get this to work can show what it actually looks like when it does work. I've yet to see a single video showing what the UI looks like when this works. I see people saying it works, but nobody showing what to look for in the UI so you know you did something right.

I turned off cross play as soon as I got it and so far it’s pretty much smooth sailing . Sometimes I have to hit quick play a few times but I’ve never not been able to find a match . I got my character up to level 11. So I put a decent amount of time into this game.

I accidentally found a potential temporary fix for PS5. It works *sometimes* Put your ps5 into rest mode, then wake it up. You will still be in the game and you should see a network error message. This is good, because the game will reconnect to the game servers. You might consider this method if restarting your ps5 temporarily fixes connection issues for you, as this is just faster.

I'm getting about 1 in 20 attempts to join. The last way you suggest has been recipe for disaster. Having joined a few that way and each time something odd happens and we all get kicked. In one session everyone got into the same tube. Another patch

The "Working method" worked only once. But every time I go back to ship I abandon my mission ... this is crap a Co-op game that co-op only work if you have friends. Don't buy until they fix automatic party search. I can't believe non of the Patriotic reviews did not mention "CO-OP" is BROKEN!

There is no "join" button when I hover over any group of people on any map at any difficulty. Just says elapsed time on surface or nothing at all.

I have a bug where me (ps5) tries to join my friend (pc) and once hits the join button it just crashes him and disconnects my ps5 from the internet. It doesnt disconnect me from helldivers it straight up disconnect my playstation from the internet

That increases the chances of players timing out and your mission objectives breaking, I covered that in the last video I did about matchmaking

I've tried with and without cross play enabled and both will absolutely work if you spam it enough times. Played co op all day yesterday. (PS5) I've also noticed for whatever reason if you stay on the galactic map for about 5ish minutes then press square for quickplay it links up the first or second try but only after you give it some time. Very strange

So quick question what do you do when not a single joinable mission shows up on any of the available planets. I mean that for some reason I'm not getting any missions even when realistically there should be at least one showing up. Also the thing that shows how many helldivers have died, how many bullets have been shot ect... is all reading 0 for me. Anyone else having this problem.

So when I load the game I cannot found anyone and no one ever joins my game. I play on PC and have tried cross play on and turned it off but same results. Never see joinable missions, or the servers full and you can’t even get in. So yeah they’ve definitely got some work to do on this game. A lot of issues rendering it unplayable for most and pretty boring by yourself

My friend got the game and can’t play multiplayer at all, he’s tried this and it didn’t work, it’s like for some reason any account that he makes to play on his playstation specifically can’t play multiplayer. He tried using other accounts but they all did the same thing. He even gave me his login info to try on my playstation and it still wouldn’t allow his account to play multiplayer. My own account works fine but it’s like for some reason any account that originates from that playstation is not allowed to play multiplayer.

Guys I desperately need help, I’m playing on PS5 and I straight up can’t get into the hellpods because they binded the store page to the interact button. Everything works except for the hellpods, as whenever I try and interact with them it just brings me to the Acquisition page and doesn’t put me in the hellpod. I literally cannot go into any mission because of this, does anyone know how I can remap the interact button on the ship?

I can get teams. However, nobody wants to work together. Its a flippin chaotic free for all, most times. I play up to Extreme solo. It sucks, because I can't get super samples. I have everything else upgraded and everything unlocked. It feels bad man. It feels bad. 😂

I noticed I wasn’t gaining any XP for about 5ish missions or so. When I logged back in the next day the game synced up & I was 4 levels higher,so try logging out & back in🤷🏻

The workaround that works for me is, select a mission, get into pod, exit game, reopen game, select the same mission. I can do this with crossplay on. The issue with the sos beacon method is that missions with multiple objectives will reset.

First time I got the game it was working buggy but working with joining others getting kick and what not now it’s all solo. Can’t get refund because steams policy it’s you can’t go over 2 hours like every game wastes a hour of cinemas and intros so that eats up a lot of test drive time. For playing solo I’ve been sticking to level 2 missions and only against the bugs. Automatons are insane and level 3 missions end up just getting me stunlocked to death 50 times in a row

@allenswopes5760 I just grouped up with a lvl 37 guy. He was amazing. I'm lvl 2, he guided me thru missions for 2 hours, educated me. Wicked friendly community so far. The games a blast but very confusing when you first start. Had a much better experience this time. And yes, I hate the bots lol

You can play solo you just need to be able to move quickly and avoid patrols. Patrols spawn infinitely and get more frequent the longer you stay in a mission. Ive been doing challenging research and repair missions solo with no deaths so far. I'm only lvl 10

I don't see any icon at all. and when you hover on a planet there's no statistic everything is zero.

I cant even play solo i try it now for hours 🤯 yesterday 2h cant play today 2-3h over 2000 trys and after 11 h in game i am level 4 -.- its not fun at all. This game is trash like that… the rounds are fun but u need 1h to start a 15 min round
