Some Good & Bad News today! It's disappointing to know we won't see Customized Loadouts but hey, at least we have confirmation that it's not happening. They sure didn't fix ANY of all the game-breaking bugs and crashes we're getting since last update before leaving... They also continue to have terrible woke CMs that ban people and are ruining the community and the game (just look at the player base going down by the day). But hey, they take their vacation REALLY seriously, lol...
@@shalashaskaseven4841 I didn't demand such thing, please note I said "before leaving". Let me be clear: they had plenty of time to fix things, but instead they made them worse. They only fixed ONE crash related to the Spear, but almost ALL of the same old bugs and crashes from launch (and new ones!!) are still present - some are even game-breaking, force restart, etc. They just lie blatantly in their patch notes, because it's a fact most of the crashes and bugs are STILL there. I have around 700h in-game so I know what I'm talking about. And also: EVERYBODY in EVERY country takes their vacation seriously, so it's just a joke (and pure entitlement from THEM, might I remark!!) that they assume they're the only ones taking things seriously when it's obvious they aren't professional enough to leave a good patch before leaving...
at this point I’ve heard about the illuminate so much I actually had a full blown dream about them randomly appearing in the game and teleporting us from our missions into an illuminate one. We already had enough of those squids in the war, can’t stomach the thought of another one, so let’s sweep em quick Helldivers.

Not fixing the social menu before summer break is a huge miss. The game thrives on cooperative play and you can't add new "Friends" in its current state.
Honestly customizable loadouts really don't matter. Having a saved loadout wouldn't really save more than like 30 seconds maybe? If it doesn't take longer than it already does cause you'd have people trying to decide which of their pre made loadouts they'd wanna use... or they'd decide something needs to be changed
I tend to realize that everytime I Finnish a mission and want to change my loadout at the armory people leave almost instantly bc they can’t wait 20 seconds. And on top of that it can take longer to change loadouts bc of how slow this game is loading resources. I will have every single piece of armor or weapon in a buffer wheel forever. I don’t always get to play with friends so when I want to change up my loadout and have randos that have attention spans of goldfish I have to find a new crew which isn’t always easy either with OTHER bugs in the game that make connection stupid hard sometimes. So while simple it’s a “quality of life improvement “ that would be super nice to have. It would be much smoother to have multiple pre set loadouts you can just click on from the hellpod menu where you know what you want and just click the name you gave it
@@briancuttler2449 you don't have to stop in the armory to change your loadout. You can change it in the hellpod menu screens when you pick out your stratagems. Takes less time and less people leave cause they're not just standing around for 20 seconds watching you stand at the armory. Plus if they leave in 20 seconds or less they were leaving anyway
@@Andyisgodcky a favorite tab would be awesome. And it wouldn't take up as many resources as trying to build out a full custom loadout menu and tech. Probably overall more likely for them to implement as well
Unreal. A game for playing with friends has a completely broken friends list and they are going to take months to fix it. My friends list (and everyone I know that also plays) has been 100% non functional for over a month already. Truly incompetent.
FYI for the summer vacation that AH is on, under Swedish law called "Swedish Holiday Act" make All full-time employees are thus normally entitled to 25 days' holiday, but how many of these are paid depends on how much you have worked, or rather how much you have earned
I love Helldivers and think its a great game. Now…im no gamedeveloper so i have little understanding, but kinda feels like things are moving kinda slow.
Things ARE moving slow. It's pathetic. In all honesty, things never moved fast for Arrowhead. They claimed they could make this game in two years.. it took them EIGHT, and it *still* sucks.
The bright side is, after the summer break, we won't need the social menu anymore. You will dive and just meet the same 3 ppl. bc that's who will be left.

Ive played the game over 200 hours and im maxed on everything. Its annoying to lose my incentives to play besides maybe finding super credits. They should uncap the max amounts of currencies.

I really hope for an urban warbond and urban biome. Cities and settlements like in the intro and such in different states of destruction, destructible walls and maybe some vertical play. booby trap stratagems like bearclaws, netcasters and small stratagems placed on walls. Urban camo and places to hide, like in cars and dumpsters. being able to push a building down on striders and titans to destroy them.
I don’t think this is silly it is the type of strategy gameplay this game is lacking rn. One thing they should do is remove the timer for some missions kinda like Deep Rock galactic
Well they certainly had it in the first game so I don't see why we wouldn't have urban biomes in this one. The swamp biome is already pretty complex so I don't urban is too big of an ask. In the first game Cyberstan was a devastated hellscape of a ruined city, blanketed in snow. Super Earth was pretty much pristine, but as the siege went on the buildings got more delapidated over time.
lol, I haven’t played the game in weeks and now coming across this thumbnail and I basically heard that the developers are walking away from the game for about two months before they even start looking at the issues of this broken game. It’s sounds funny when a spin is put on it like, look for it to be fixed sometime after summer break. No expect more excuses sometime after summer break. Bahaha.
Yeah, they're not going to fix sh-t.. I guarantee most of those devs are taking their break to find new jobs. There will be a skeleton crew when they come back and NOTHING will get done.. only it'll be even slower than before. Yeah, this game is pretty much dead.
@@Ellinkai hd1 had a consistent and expected playerbase, while this game literally runs off of collective work by a huge amount of players to produce new content. Hd2 also is a interactive 3rd person shooter which requires a ton more effort towards its updates. The game will die if it doesnt get the support it needs, and it wont get the support it needs without players.
Hive lord would come first. It would be suicide to release the Illuminate with the state of the spaghetti code this game runs on with the summer break looming if they can't get the social menu working before then.
The game isnt going to last long at this rate I get devs need a break but for a online game its bad since future wise are we going to expect every year this dry of content when they take there long vacation. Major orders with no good rewards, medals and samples piling up with no reason to use them, I enjoy the game despite the bugs and nerfs or whatever they do but lacking content is actually making people I know and including me having no reason to keep playing as its starting to be too repetitive. Still looking forward but at the rate its going there losing players.
Basically, they have already made the vast majority of the money they are going to make. It's like paying before getting the work done kinda. 1 week off is one more than I get. Why is there so much time off?
I'm in favor of not having loadouts. It takes more time to start, yes, but its usually less then a minute but in this time we assess our team stratagems, what is needed, what can i test, what can i try diferent, loadouts would make people lazier leading to more disappointing or brainless matches.

Arrowhead has one of the most wholesome and cooperative games of the decade. Not fixing the social menu until mid-August is a mistake and goes against everything that this game stands for yet again. I really hope that they pull themselves together and get this game to a perfected state, because they are making it feel like they just don't care anymore

The social menu is all I want. I can’t play with my cousin on pc because we can’t accept each others request. ALSO PSA: have your friend queue up a public lvl 1 mission on whatever planet has the lowest player count. This should allow you to potentially find them
This game is unfortunately toast. I love Helldivers but the combination of not fixing anything until after a long break, not giving the players what they’re being very vocal about, and lack of content is gonna put out any embers that this game still has burning.
Same here no point play without mates in my team. Randoms players although 90% are capable theirs always few who acts like it's all about me and sod the rest of you.
@@jangomp3 nope tryed so many times plus few of my other mates play offline. So it's impossible to know and it doesn't show they are playing either. I'm fine playing something else till it's fixed but the longer it is people's gaming priorities change. Social should have been first fix I just don't get why they are breaking stuff over and over at a amount more then they add to the game. A broken social Imo is far more damaging then not being able to use a broken spear in game for months. A broken spear only effects people who love using it social effects everyone to more of a extent.
Honestly think they should have left this game in the oven until August, it probably wasn't up to them and Sony forced a Feb release but the point stands. Since launch it's been riddled with bugs that still havent been fixed months later, has had performance issues, and has gone through aggressive balance changes that feel like the devs are using consumers as Q&A testing. All of that combined with the Sony debacle, stability issues, patrol issues, and purchased passives just outright not working bled the playerbase. Then as soon as they release the big savior update and look like they're on the upend they get summer break from swedish law and potentially ghost for a month. If they waited till August after the break it would have been 6 more months to do more fixes, line up a steady stream of content updates/warbonds, made the illuminate ready to launch as an event, etc. While the 90% playerbase drop feels a bit disingenuous since the game unexpectedly exploded from social media so its probably leveling out at what it would have naturally been and will likely never get those numbers back. There's still only so much patience the community can have since as a live service game it's kind of in the title to have consistent updates. I hope they keep their heads up and keep developing for the core fanbase that's stuck around but it just feels like wrong place wrong time with it's release.
What if at some point we’re about to get a specific ship module, that reduces the “refilling time” of some stratagems by 10-15%? Might as well include the jump pack, the Quasar, both guard dogs, shield generator & shield backpack.
Various bugs going around where you’re unable to complete missions. The nuke mission we were unable to interact with the drill and on the survey mission the objective didn’t complete after we finished the interactions. Getting very annoying and I’m probably not returning till I hear a fix for this.
I’m getting over helldivers. They release glitchy stuff because they don’t play the game, the discord moderators are so woke that they ban people who don’t align with their ideology, and the game is getting stale. Give us more biomes, missions, enemy types, and just anything to mix it up. Grinding is fun but jeez give us some variety.
I personally feel like it’s the worst time for them to have a summer break, sure they should take a break but not now, mainly because how buggy it is, and right now would be the best time to bring content updates specially because of the summer which means that not that many people have work/school also let’s not forget that the summer break will last from right now to August, that’s literally months of no content no hotfix no nothing I understand that devs should have a break to enjoy with their families but that could potentially kill the game
Honestly for a smaller company not expecting to be recognized like they did. They did a great job. Due to game engine limitations theyre doing their best to accomidate us who are asking for more. Their team is probably tired as hell and need a break or run the risk of getting burnt out. Let them rest up, send them a list. Let them look at the list and see if they can squeeze it into their engine. They should be able to but if they cant i will not complain about it. These guys have done a great job as far as im concerned
They work in an office. They do not have it rough my guy. Try working outside installing AC units all summer 5 days a week. The only thing they are doing hard is fucking their fan base.

Nope I do not know how to play the game. In fact, I actually just put the controller down and let the game record and play the game at the same time. Also, not sure what you were saying at the end but I recommend learning how to type and spell properly so i can understand what you are saying at least.
Oh yeah, we have SO MUCH VARIETY right now. In bugs especially. Every player uses Breaker incendiary. Guess what devs will do about it. Give other weapons a good buff to make them more comfortable + give breaker a competition? NAH they'll nerf breaker incendiary

At this point, I'd be happy with just a quick switch for my armor/helm/weapons, be great to have a full loadout since outside of changing based on bugs vs bots, I don't change what I bring too often. And I can guarantee that most people are similar. Only time I can really say that I need to switch is for some defense missions.
It takes 2 seconds to customize a loadout. We don't need preset loadouts. We need a working social menu and easter eggs pointing towards the new faction.

They developed the game for 8 years. And what we have is buggy crashy mess. I think at this point their schedule looks like 8:00 Get to work 8:30 Team gathering 12:30 Thinking of what we're going to do next week 15:00 Some helldivers coding/fixing 15:30 Work day is over
I'm not bothered by alot of the things that annoy people about this game. I think Helldivers 2 is great. The constant crashes, freezes and disconnects though are unacceptable this far after launch. Hotfix after and hotifix and little is changing. I wouldn't be bothered by the summer break at all if they had left the game in a reasonable state.
Going on break and not releasing new things is a pretty questionable decision, given the situation that HD2 is in. Even more players will leave if the MANY issues don’t get resolved and new content doesn’t release. If they’ll really do as they say then I think Helldivers will be actually dead by the end of summer. I still have a tiny sliver of hope that they’ve been cooking this whole time and plan dropping the illuminate before they slow down. Would be a good idea since people wouldn’t really complain about lack of new features after getting a whole new faction
As awesome as this sounds, them adding another faction would ADD TONS OF BUGS, bugs that they will take months later to fix 💀😭But hey it COULD work to revitalize the Helldivers playerbase back to its glory days maybe…
I just wish the cross play worked, my wife and I rarely can join each other as it says we are offline, but I can play with other PC users, and we lose connection seemingly at random.
Man, i ain't gunna to lie. we need to start tampering our expectations they said themselves that they are a small dev team and with a game this big to have barely anything on the back burner to keep a steady flow of meaningful content its going to be really boring really quickly. Its obvious that whenever they start to focus on something, it ends up getting pushed somewhere else, so a lot of things are going to be half-baked. We likely wont see any big content a month or two into next year illuminate especially if we struggle to do bot MO's as is the illumintate is going to be a mix of bot and bug so they will be miserible if not ballanced right.

I had an observation. After the last patch I was able to play at 100fps for 2 missions with 100% gpu utilization. I hit escape at some point during the 3rd mission and my fps dropped to the 70fps range with 70% gpu usage. Its now stuck there again as it was before the patch. They did make some progress on this issue. Looking forward to the full fix.
The anti cheat eats a lot of performance and I doubt they will remove it. A PvE game doesnt need a anti cheat + u can already "cheat" by simply using the infinit nade exploit that is still in the game...

I give this game like 3 more months and that’s very iffy! Never played Elden Ring but I’m hooked now. If they don’t get it together I’ll stay in Elden Ring till the winter.
I also feel like sony cutting off 170 countries er whatever had to have had an impacted right now....( lvl 116 strength faith ER ) And if i spend that 40 on Shadow i wont even be checking in HD2 until i Hear the Illuminate Are Here... Hopefully enuff ppl do to keep it alive but ive maxed out 😮💨

There’s no reason to keep playing no new content nothing just the same old shit and I love this game to death the only reason I’m still paying for PlayStation + but I’m about to call it quits I understand these devs need a break and are doing what they can but it’s truly killing the game if they want to succeed they have to sacrifice and they aren’t willing too they take too long and release lack luster updates at best it’s like they are doing everything possible to kill the game I give it like 2 months honestly if after their summer break they come back with the same energy no one is gunna be here to support them anymore we wait too long for shit to come out and when it does it’s terrible and repetitive

A loadout option could make team composition with randos a little less balanced think about it you select and see what your teammates are picking, so you can avoid redundancy or not bringing enough firepower at all
Its over for this game. They lost the momentum. They are resting on the success meanwhile 90% of the playerbase is gone. The game went from 500k to 20k players just saying. Warhammer 40k Space marine 2 is around the corner and it looks like the better horde shooter. The game has a campaign, coop and multiplayer.
I like changing things up. I don’t see the point of having preset load outs. It’s not like it takes long to choose your load out. Especially if your choosing the same ones every time
Lodouts are litelarry usless for helldivers XD But having friends list to august is bullshit , i see friends online but on friends tabs they are always empty , but i see and can join them on the planet
I’m honestly so disappointed in this game. I haven’t complained until now because I love the game but honestly I wish I had never bought it. I can’t play without crashing half the time and my friends list hasn’t worked correctly since release. It’s one thing for a free to play game to have issues but when you’ve got to pay for your game you’d expect to get something that is actually playable. Honestly, the patch they said was fixing the game made it worse. I’m just so over this BS. How about you hire someone who actually knows how to code
Every patch has made this game worse, warbond specifically premium weapons nerfed, social tab still broken. Then they announce they are on holiday for 6 weeks when the game is still in a bad state....wonder why people are leaving lol Dont preach about quilty control and taking your sweet time for the last warbond to come out to only have reskin primary weapon with a booster that just got fix.... People are over broken promises that take ages to fix
Having a load out saves like what a few seconds? If I already know what I stick with. Plus I kinda like everytime choosing each item cause sometimes I’m like hmm maybe I should try this other thing? And after a few times I do haha
Even thogh it will take some time untill the Illuminite will come to Hell divers I am still hyped. Oh yeah and also I have I think a bug which is that I cant see my dayly (Quests) does anyone know how to fix that.
I think arrowhead rlly needs to scale up they are slowly killing the long term viability of this game by just not delivering content on a AAA scale when you have AAA population numbers. The content drop amount is just behind some other games. Like 2 months of nothing is gonna be really dry for a game that doesn't have seasonal content or anything to really grind for. Time to touch more grass at least xD
My social menu hasn't worked since launch. Some friends don't appear even when online. It'll say 1 online but not show the name. Now its just perma loading friends list.
Everyday there is an ‘update’ and everyday nothing happens, game has lost 90% of its players and the devs just stopped caring and left it to rot in its boredom. R.I.P
Ngl I get it they deserve a break but the game is busted a third of my games have a game breaking bug or an infinite loading screen. I hope they understand that people are DEFINITELY going to leave and they won’t have anybody to blame but themselves
Play something else if you’re bored/frustrated. Come back when something new that isn’t in a warbond drops to check it out, it literally costs you nothing.
This is geunuinly upsetting seeing a game that I still enjoy going down the drain for a summer break. We are pretty much not going to get anything for a month, while the games player count is plummeting. This game could have way more players if they just released more support weapons consistently and made sure they wouldn’t crash the game and weren’t basically shooting rocks at the enemies
