I love how Jebbles takes things methodically when playing solo, meanwhile I run around like a rabid chihuahua throwing all of the airstrikes at everything, and if the mission gets completed that's a happy coincidence.
Yeah everyone just complains… I can understand some of the complaints but some are just people being upset they can’t win easily on the hardest difficulty
@@JebblesJunior The only two times I have ever played in a group, there was always some guy with a 380mm that killed me multiple times. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but maybe it's one of the reason while I prefer to play solo (the other is that I can mess around and experiment with stuff)
Another tip for AMR solo, try to reload with only one bullet left in the chamber. Reloads are much faster when manual chambering isn't necessary, meaning more AMR uptime
Definitely learn to count to six, then seven, and not compromise on those reloads. Increases rate of fire, damage potential, and provides you with an "OH SHIT" round if you need it.
We’ve got the hard-nosed General Brasch and we’ve got Sargent Jebbles. Sweet Jebs. Jebsie. He’s tough but fair, he knows your birthday, and he may not have been born on Earth.
I love this channel , you give great advice and acknowledge alot that failure at a difficult task isn't a bad thing - it just gives a good refernece point to learn Keep up the good work 👍
For the detector towers, I just sneak up to the base, don't go in, and just call in a hellbomb next to the wall that's closest to the tower. Calling it does alert the base but not the tower; blows up every time. Also, with a team, bringing a shield generator stratogem to protect the hellbombs from gunships and other CLANKERS helps a LOT!
I tried your tips tonight, and I had a MUCH easier time, thanks so much! For me, the most helpful advice you gave was about cover. I know I'm not dumb, but i didn't put the pieces together until you talked about how to keep cover on your left and slice the pie on the bots. That right there and using sight lines to plan your approach to objectives made these missions so much more survivable for me.
jump pack for solo play is so slept on. infinite kiting ability, if the situation is too hot just blast off and take it from another angle or just let it cool off while you go do something else. I blame the game for teaching bad tactics against bots. You start off fighting bugs where the optimal strategy is to be extremely aggressive and wipe them out because every type can call reinforcements, and if you leave them alone there’s a good chance they see you anyway. Coming over to bots you want to leave patrols alone unless you are prepared to wipe them out immediately because they are relatively easy to slip by with a little bit of situational awareness. The three Cs doesn’t really say anything about Choosing engagements wisely.
In my experience, the mission where things go the smoothest are the ones where you are aggressive, but towards the static bots, because the faster you clear them, the faster you can move on and avoid the patrol. So yeah, still aggressive, but in a much more targeted way
I wish more people would leave more patrols alone and a lot of people seem to not be able to control themselves when they come across a bug nest of fabricator, it's like they see it and just have to immediately go for it
I played Gears of War for years and it helped me understand "right-hand advantage" and years later that carried over to Helldivers 2 and has been helpful in avoiding fire.
Jeez it is baffling for me to see someone solo anything above hard. I say this because i will constantly be getting into these huge battles with the increased patrol spawns just because i wanted to activate a radar. I swear no matter how hard i try to avoid patrols, i end up finding myself in another 10+ minute battle that i have to run away from because 3 more patrols are on there way to join the fight. This happens even on the challenging difficulty, it’s crazy.
Sometimes you have to know when it's time to abandon an objective and go get it later when things cool down. A lot of it does come down to killing speed though. Most people play a lot more gingerly.
@@themarlboromandalorian honestly i have patience, but with this unfortunate patrol buff i find myself hiding somewhere for over 5 minutes waiting for patrols to pass by and just stop spawning, only for one of them to spot me after that whole time. They seriously need to limit how many patrols can spawn at a time. Playing solo above medium has become so unfun because the amount of patrols. (For me)
@@themarlboromandalorian yeah I try to stealth as much as possible, until it goes wrong, then I fight obviously, stealthed my way through a full 3 mission lvl 7 before to unlock 8, proud of that but trying to solo 8 has me beat atm. Gonna keep trying tho :3
Thanks for this Jebbles. I personally quite dislike playing solo, I'd take a team of randos over solo play any day of the week, but a lot of this is still helpful to me because bots are definitely the weakest part of my game. I typically play around level 7 Bugs, I can go higher but 7 is kind of my sweet spot. Against Bots, I very rarely play over 5. In fact, I don't think I've even encountered one of those walking fabricator things on my own yet. And I think it's mainly because I'm just very bad at positioning, which is probably, what, 75% of this game? With Bugs, it's more about maintaining the correct distance, regardless of where you end up. But with Bots, it's so much more important to find the right spot with the right cover, and that's something I struggle with.
I actually did my first missions solo because of the server issues at launch. angels venture was really dark at night at launch. Also, i dont pin patrols when playing with randoms because i dont want someone shooting at the patrol we can easily avoid.
After seeing this im understanding that I probably pissed a lot of people off by trying to clear something but failing, then trying to retreat back to get a better angle only to get overwhelmed and then kicked because I piss off veteran players. If only there was some way they could have at least given advice instead of sitting in silence and wondering why this new guy has no idea what's going on. Ahh. The life of being the problem. Ill do everyone a favor and keep playing solo. So many angry people at newer players you would think theyd communicate more to actually help the problem. Thanks for doing this.
Honestly this is something I've learned after oh so very long playing all sorts of games. I'm just trying to prevent people from having to learn the hard way as I did
I enjoyed the different format of this video, though I would like to know your thoughts on doing the commentary live in the mission? So while you're doing stuff, you're commentating what you're doing, why you're doing it, and what you're trying to achieve while doing it. I think your calm demeanor would make for a very relaxing and informative video :)
with those detector towers, i like to call the hellbomb down outside the wall. that way you can remain undetected and avoid fighting the garrison inside. try to call it down as close to the tower as possible, but so far I have found that as long as the hellbomb stratagem is available, the blast will take out the tower no matter where you call it down
A nice explaination even for more advanced players, I've seen you use impact to destroy turrets which is a possibility I wasn"t aware of. Do you plan to make a video about how to take down specific enemy/structure ?
I'm still getting this connectivity problem where I can't join any games in quickplay or even join my friend's games. This problem has been going for months now. Disabling crossplay and restarting my PC doesn't work. I can play solo missions but it's not fun for me being alone. :/
Im thinking of trying lvl 8 difficulty by myself. Im so sick of getting players who don't know how to sneak around, all they do is create more problems.
did you make this vid because i winged in the last vid about how i cant solo diff 7 to get super rares? because i feel like you made this video because i winged in the last one about not being able to solo diff 7
@@JebblesJunior i would have been rolling if you flashed my comment up for a single frame during the video. it just seems so well timed that i complain about solo being harder, and you making a video entirely on completing a mission solo great guide btw, will try to replicate your strats sometime today
@@JebblesJunior At 4:48 it looks like you just whipped a grenade at the side of the fabricator and blew it up. Did I miss something or is that possible to do? I thought you needed to score a basket through a vent to destroy it.
Does anyone else have an issue with all the players in a session randomly “leaving” and it forces you to play by yourself? Plus despite throwing down an SOS beacon the game refuses to allow other players to rejoin your game even though it’s got tens of thousands of fellow helldivers on it? Like fuck I just want to successfully complete one mission but I can’t count on the game being stable enough to do that.. could this be due to my network or is it server instability? Cause I really don’t know..
I'm on ps5 and it happens frequently unfortunately although the party owner is usually sparred. My buddy and I call it a "crash cascade" as soon as one person crashes everyone else starts to as well, except the host usually. And sos beacons will not work, very common for me on ps5.
A touch over one thousand games on helldive. There's a few level 150s out there but most got there by spamming eradication missions because of how fast they get done. Not to say every one is invalid, there's a lot that got there legitimately as well.
Why do I have a feeling he hasn't been sub level 10 sub 24 hours of gameplay in a long time? Also if you need to put stuff down and not drop on the objective you likely should be playing co-op... Like you can make builds for solo etheir front play where you almost never use drops especly after level 10... Like I love your conent but you really have forgotten what a beginner is even for me Press with thunsends of games under my belt.
Maybe a beginner can keep playing a difficulty that is reasonable for him until he unlocks the stratagems needed for higher difficulties. Besides, it's a 4-player co-op game. This is an is it possible video, not a you should play the game this way.
@@solidXsnake4life I mean the trick is getting a medium pen primary and sidearm and the fully loaded "perk" then you'll rearly need anything but the orbital shot right, right down.... Once you have that you really don't need to set up any more and before the MMG amd resupply is all you really need... Like he said solo isn't hard I drop on objectives in solo then fight my way back to base... Though I don't 100% nore do it on one life... Though I just drop on easy missions because I really like them though before I lone wolfed my way to extreme so with practice I can
That was a whole lot of words just to say nothing. Also, you absolutely do not have a plurality of thousands of missions played. At the least not that many at a high enough level to where you can act with such condescension.
@@JebblesJunior Well that's rude... Like what did I do to you? Which you are proving my point not everyone has over 10 hours in this game nore do you need over 10 hours to solo up to hard... Which is a high level 6 out of 10 is high... Also why do you need equipment when I a level 10 with 10 hours played do not? Like what has all those hours you are saying every needs to solo really teach you?
Like I get you are a new RU-vidr but take it from a guy with way more videos, views and years on this platform then you... Your channel will burn like a hot star and will die a short death if you can't be nice to your veiwers.
