I've seen a lot of Spear gameplay in Helldivers lately--most likely due to the previous performance issues being addressed by Arrowhead. And i've noticed that there's a pretty good use for there being so many videos--The spear is a specific tool, and it demands a discipline to using it effectively to deal with Heavy and Elite problems on the battlefield. It's something akin to an art--more than "See it far enough away, Lock, Fire and forget". You've got to know how to deal with Karma-Chargers up close and in medium proximity with it to get the most of it, too.

With chargers it’s nice to keep stun grenades on you so you can create that space that you need with the spear
