I kinda wish there was either a added functionality or a mod that let us save LOADOUTS in this game would make it a lot easier because when you have so much stuff unlocked it literally takes a lot of time to remember what you used before on a certain planet or enemy type

I totally feel that. Loadouts would be quite important down the line. I just memorize things, but I am aware it's not for everyone. (Just like how I'm a boomer with stratagem codes lol)

I love Cutting Edge just because of sickle, grenade and booster Steeled Veteran is better overall and totally worth to buy 1st in my opinion I like to run Sickle with Senator Sickle is so helpfull against small but huge waves of enemies and senator with that medium armor pen fills some of the sickle weakness Thanks for the video 🙂

For bugs yes, automatons are different. So I do love Steel Veterans, but there are also other options. (Like the stun grenade in cutting edge)

Yeah, it also has the revolver, and dominator, servos assisted suits which help with your limb health with either the automatons or bugs

It's a good choice, but the others are competitive. Democratic Detonation is probably the one that falls short the most

Great video! For future videos I would not count the payed for armors in the credit store, the light grenade armor is only in the store. Someone might not have caught the rotation or they might only have enough for a warbond. Also if it is your first warbond servo assisted would be unique in detonation (although it is about to change). Servo assisted is only found in veterans warbond.

Just to explain more thoroughly, I don't think about whether the armor is payed or not. Rather at the time of the warbond's release, I check whether the perk (at the time of the warbond's release) exists for any other armor set (paid or unpaid). Since Steeled Veterans came with the base game, it is the only one that is unique counted (point wise) because although other servo assisted armors exist, I count it as unique. So in future if the 4th Warbond at the time of its release contains perks that already exist in the game, it would count against the uniqueness of that particular armor set (but it may still earn half a point for a unique Stat distribution). All armors eventually rotate in the super store after all, so you may eventually get everything 😁👍 Hope this clarifies my system and thank you for taking the time to comment!

As a newer player (just more than 2 weeks in), I had to choose between Steeled and Cutting Edge. What sealed the deal for me was RealAsianRobot running with the JAR-5. It looked perfect for the way I prefer to play, paired with the AC I was already using! So I became a citizen to get Steeled for the JAR-5 and used my SC to unlock Cutting Edge to get the Stun granade. Eruptor does not interest me at the moment, so I got the same medium armor Robot is using. Every kill is dedicated to my General in that loadout, plus it balances well with what my friends use 😅

I am a new player and look over sniping so I went with detonation for the eruptor and quicker pilot since I’m sick of the fire storms already and wanna close the factories from a distance

I would've knocked half a point for the cutting edge armors due to being niche right now. Only reason to equip them is if your whole squad wants to run with the arc thrower or with the tesla tower in eradicate missions.

I don't worry about whether the perk itself is niche, just whether or not it is a unique addition to the game or something we can already obtain in other ways. It gets half a point though regardless of perk if it has a unique stat distribution that is a variant of the standard line for that armor type. Because if I assess it as Niche or not right now, it may affect it in future when it is no longer Niche.

Agree with everything but the rating on the Cutting Edge armors. Yes, two of them are unique, but are super niche. So I would have awarded these half a point each aswell. Great content as always.

Eh, as long as it's a perk we don't have, it doesn't matter if the perk itself is niche. Plus they won't be niche once the illuminate are here ;). AFAIK they use Arc weapons

Exactly, the armors in DD is superior to the ones in CE. The video is supposed to be "which one should I pick", not "I have all the others, this doesn't add anything new".

@skyfire_swe8520 my judgement does exactly that. It shows if the warbond adds value or if the same value can be obtained elsewhere. Looks are not a basis of superiority. Only stats and perks should be assessed and we have assessed those fairly. I hope this assists in your understanding.

The only reason I’m tempted to get the latest one is that grenade pistol but I think I’m going to hang on till the next war bond to see if I’ll end up getting it The cutting edge is by far my favourite I love the look of that final armor and all the weapons are really fun, I enjoy the plasma dominator a lot

I think the adjudicator gets a bad rap. It doesn't necessarily shine in any one area, but it's pretty versatile and kind of strong. It's a decent marksman rifle that can instantly switch to a decent auto rifle. Other marksman rifles force you to pick a secondary or support weapon that helps once you're overrun with melee opponents, but with the adjudicator you can just swap the fire rate and youre good.

Yeah but it's still useless in actual combat. If you like it, it's fine, but most of the time players would do better with literally any other weapon. The fact that it doesn't shine in any one area is exactly the issue, because the current "best picks" are usually chosen for whatever they specifically excel at. So it's tougher for middle ground weapons to really work unfortunately, which is frustrating but Arrowhead did say they will be buffing the DMR so we shall see. For now though, it remains a poor choice for the ideal loadouts

3:04 The FS-61 Dreadnought is another Heavy armor that has Servo Assisted and is available in the super-cred store.

Yeah, I didn't realise that (I had the armor, but didn't even look at the perk. I bought them all since I have too much SC from playing the game lol). But yeah, even losing 1 point would still put it in a solid second place,.

@@RealAsianRobot I think Sreeled veterans is the best warbond with democratic detonation being a close second due to offering the most varied and generally useful weapons. Cutting edge's only good picks are the sickle and stun grenade, but with the stun grenade being nerfed to not work on biletitans, and stun/ems doesnt work on tanks its not nearly as useful as it seems. and the armor is in such anniche use case that its effectively worthless. you never have whole teams using the arc weapons or the tesla sentry because of their short range, unreliable hitting/chaining and how often they chain to allies. if the armor sets (which didnt include a heavy armor) passive was changed to "Insulated : reduces damage from Fire, Arc and Acid attacks by 75%" it would be significantly more viable and useful. but as it stands all the cutting edge armor is effectively useless

Went Steeled Veterans with SC I got from playing and free warbond and paid for 1000 SC and got Democratic Detonation. Next is Cutting edge I would have waiting for Democratic Detonation but I want to get to the good weapons before they get nerfed this time.

So far, the Premium War Bonds seem to consist of weapon wise (and not including grenades); 1 clear winner, 1 sleeper hit because it's situational, and then trash until a buff happens.

Not really Steeled Veterans have 2 amazing Primaries and one trash tier. Cutting edge is 1 great one, 2 niche picks lol. (People do love the Blitzer still). Democratic Detonation is the only one thus far that is clearly 1 great, 1 situational and 1 trash tier.

@@RealAsianRobot I was going off on how everybody praised the Sickle but didn't seem to talk much about the Jar until bots became the focus and nobody touched the breaker incendiary until it was buffed. Also I don't hear much about the Blitzer but some people sing praises of the Dagger for apparently being good against Jetpack bots. I've also only been playing the game a month as of today so I've missed the big "this just came out so everybody is talking about them" rushes from the previous two.

Great video man keep producing this type of content but I just want to say that instead of using the final summary in full green you should make two seperate lists on the screen, one being pros (green text) and the other being cons (in red text) so people can get a clearer understanding of what the warbond is good at and what it isnt good at.

Cutting Edge is easily the first bound to buy. Sickle alone is a great primary for bot factions and easily the top contender for best primary and the Stun Granade is a must against bots on all difficulties second is the Democratic Detonation for the Granade Pistol and Extraction booster are goated, and the Eruptor can deal with anything besides large enemies with 1-3 shots the Steeled is a ok pick, the Senator is easily surpassed by the Redeemer on the normal bound and the only real good part is the Breaker Incendiary for bugs, but fire dmg is still messed up and a Sickle exists

I agree with some of the stuff said, but no pro team uses the extraction booster. It is a waste of time to shave 15% off the extraction when you could literally have any other booster applying the ENTIRE match instead. Sickle is decent but it has its weaknesses as well.

Just something to note, The sickle is on The first page of The warbond and is both great for bots and bugs. While I tend to use The Dominator and incendiary breaker more they do have a higher skill ceiling to use whereas The sickle is infinite ammo, low recoil and low bullet spread. If you are new and just decided to drop $10 for a bond The cutting edge probably has the best new player stuff, that instantly increases your effectiveness in a team.

It's definitely a good choice, but also not universal, hence why I assessed things the way I did. Rather than worrying about the skill ceiling of the weapon, I have to show (fairly) whether the weapon is considered good (one point), niche (half a point) or unused (0 points). If we involve skill and meta picks, the Eruptor beats everything because quite frankly, its going to be nerfed in the near future (based on how insanely good it is).

@@RealAsianRobot I doubt the eruptor will be nerfed. It's really good but I personally find it cumbersome. After a few missions I switched back to the Dominator.

@OP10thNakama Yeah I loved the Eruptor against bots but took it the other night against bugs (we needed a break;) and found it a bit underwhelming. I wasn't consistently getting the aoe effect of those rounds (I think the terrain played a part for indirect shots - it looked like there was no aoe trigger on soft ground, which makes sense) and even when it landed the bugs seemed to eat the damage and keep coming - even the small chaff, which is what you really want to clear out first. That said, I still topped the killboard but that really doesn't mean as much as it does in other games - I didn't feel like it helped me do my job well and I spent a lot of time repositioning because I couldn't hold my area down. I know it's strong but I swapped back to Dominator and then incendiary shottie and was happier - might be a skill issue or role mismatch but yeah. Against bots however it's insane - for that alone I reckon it'll still get a hefty nerf.

@OP10thNakama I'm unsure. It has too much utility for a primary weapon and beats out everything similar. So I'm almost 80% sure it will get nerfed at some point unfortunately. I would hate for that to happen but that's been the trend. When something is too good, it gets put down

You shouldn't judge the armors in democratic detonation so low, but the same as the armors in the other Warbond. A new player could pick either Warbond and get same armor stats, so why zero score for new Bond armors? Doesn't make any sense. I think it's good DD has same amor stats, I want skins to be more cosmetic and I love the look on all 3 amors in DD. They look WAY better than steel bond.

Our point system is based on whether an armor introduces a new perk into the game or has a unique Stat distribution. This scoring system is to standardize with other warbonds that introduce new or unique things into the game. Unless there is another clearly objective metric by which an armor can be judged (looks are subjective). Then the scoring system will remain as stated. Players can still pick democratic Detonation first as stated though, I am merely here to give a purely objective assessment without bias

Unpopular opinion, but I wish the bolt action and the pump action reloads were manual, both for the Eruptor and the Blitzer. By manual I mean, you would have to hit the reload after every shot, like the Railgun. It feels weird to see my Helldiver taking an action I didn't input.

Unfortunately you have to decide for yourself. Both Cutting Edge and Steeled Veterans are roughly the same in terms of value, but some still buy Democratic Detonation first. You will actually be able to earn ALL of them just by getting super credits as you play through the game. If you prefer fighting bugs, I recommend the Steeled Veterans first. If you prefer fighting bots (automatons) tend I recommend the cutting edge first (since the Stun Grenade is mandatory for higher levels). However, you still have to make the ultimate decision yourself. ALL of these have great choices and items needed for the highest difficulty levels of the game. I also highly recommend tuning into streams/watching some of my loadout vids to see the recommended options.

They'll be updated after every major balancing patch. I'm just waiting for them to do the big one before doing the next update. Only reason there hasn't been a new version of this 😏. Hopefully moving forward, they will alter their methodology

Having in “Meta” in a PvE game honestly just rubs me the wrong way. Just play with whatever you like and feels good to you

This would make sense if all weapons were equally good, but they really aren't. Therefore meta will always exist. In any game there will be a meta. If you don't want to use it, you don't have to, but you will always have worse results compared to those who understand and apply it. That's how gaming works whether it's PvP or PvE

Medals are earned super quick with the major and personal orders. There was a period where everyone capped out so fast. Depends on how active the playerbase participation is. I fully unlocked democratic Detonation in like 1 day 🥲
