I see alot of my own dad in him (the father) and it honestly felt like he didnt even understand he just said what they told him to and after the show he'll probably go back to how he was. He and my dad seem to have the mindset that being there physically is the same as being a good dad. No, you have to be there emotionally for them. Being there physically and emotionally is NOT the same and if he doesnt change his kids could end up resenting him as they grow older.

He actually acted very badly, the most I can remember, he always shouted to her how he was disappointed, because she couldn't solve his problem at the bank or at the hospital. After these he didn't wanted to see us a lot. What make me sad is that he realised weeks before dying. He may have seen horrible things, lived a tough life, but in the end he died regretfully. I can even remember his sad face, like a child who knows he had behaved bad. At 23, It made me understand how at the end we are all nothing but past and memory. But unfortunately my biggest regret is that I didn't have obliged or lend a hand to him to be more with us, but since he was a pain, I choose to ignore him, the worst is that I know I could have done better, this is what breaks me. My parents always told me, you can be poor but if you have kids cherished, respect, teach them love. I don't really understand but I'm sure I don't want to regret as hard as my grandfather was. And I hope these girls won't see that face I saw. And if you don't want kids, don't make them. Be sure you are ready. I sometimes take full care of my 2yo cousin, and I know I'm not that ready. And least, he said that his sister has done the same. Instead of understanding how hard it was, he just accept it as a part of their life. I see lots of misogyny. If you just assumed my gender, I'm a young man. Funny fact, my father loves children, I'm glad my mother didn't chose her father as husband. yes I am a single child but I grew up in a joint family with many baby cousins neice and nephews.........I am not from a well off family and got into a med college through merit ....cuz we cant afford paying large amount of tuition fee.......I know how is it to take care of kids.......she is taking care of a baby.....at that age I took care of my baby cousin all by myself because my aunt was a working lady.........I know how it must feel ........but I am not against them asking her to take care......she should ofcourse....but what I resent about that father is .......he should help when he can.....but he doesnt.....he is busy being lazy......and there is nothing he does to appreciate her hard work at such young age......I know how it feels so I can relate to her......you feel like a helpless babysitter.....Kindly go throught the concern properly then you will understand why the father is being bashed.............and please try to contemplate the concern mindfully before judging others.......

DiDi Nwabude I know she is too. I suffered the same when I stayed home for college and 2 years into it my mother decided to do foster care. At the same time I was working 24+ hours a week, full time college, and babysitting for her. I was so exhausted. When I had a free moment with my boyfriend I always fell asleep. l0l To this day I regret staying home. I even went all the way to Korea after college to relieve myself.

prince13x the concern isn't the fact he works alot, which granted he does so it's good he's supporting his family. The issue is his complacency to showing affection to his kids or acting like a father when he actually does see his children. In his mind, the man only works while the wife and kids take care of the rest. However, being a father is more than just being a landlord who provides money (even then he gives his daughter pennies for personal massages). This little girl should be having a childhood, but she can't since she's acting as a mother, and the father doesn't see anything wrong with it.

prince13x that's his responsibility to support financially. I love this one quote (the point in general) from Song Ilgook, "Your wife did her share when pregnant and giving birth. Child care is supposed to be husband's share and wife's job is to assist. (Mother's love to her children will make her do efforts in child care that are more than father though.)". Having a kid means you were entrusted one living human and he has 4 kids being entrusted to him and his wife. Taking responsibility is not only financially but taking care of the children including giving them the parent's love they deserved. It doesn't matter how tired you are, mostly good fathers seeing their children, they will think their own children are cute, adore them and can't stand not to play with them. He couldn't (or rarely) even play or at least being curious of what they did at school or simply say love/praise/sorry/thank you. The soccer player, Lee Dongguk, even has 2 set of girl twins and one baby boy & he's busy enough with training and competitions (that's how he works and feed the family), but he managed to video call them when he's away from home and play with them when he's home. The eldest twins help taking care the younger twins and the baby boy but not like Soobin in this episode. That's how the kids are close with him even though he is rarely at home. This is just examples but that also show how to be responsible dad. Soobin's dad, when he's at home, he can at least ask how Soobin's (or his son) doing at school and he can even listen to her while lying down (or being massaged :p) and when he's awake, he can at least play with the twins even though for 10 minutes (as he said he got tired after 10 minutes) esp when his children are super cute. If his job in the family only to support them financially, just be a landlord and not start a family. He is the head of family. His wife tries to take care of children alone so she can't help but asking her eldest daughter. She wants to ask for his help but she can't force him too much to avoid fights. Child care is mom AND dad's jobs. Even if he didn't do house works, at least he can help taking care children or simply play with them.

His job wasn't to donate sperm to his wife so that she could have 4 kids and no support. Just giving money isn't enough. He sleeps for 5 hours in the evening, comes home and sleeps and lounges around. Soobin is a 13 year old [this age group typically needs 9 proper hours of sleep], instead, she raises two kids, does her normal school work past 12 midnight [I used to go to sleep at fucking 10, so that I could get proper hours of sleep which was ensured by my parents, even my father who never ever changed a single diaper despite having two kids], wakes up at 3-4am to feed the kids, which is something the father should be doing. The dad obviously stays asleep on purpose, indicated by his long pause before answering, contemplating whether to tell the truth or not. In fact, you can see him starting off saying something else, then changing his answer. He's a pathetic excuse for a man, and that's that.

I was responsible for my brothers and our home itself while my mother was at work when we were young. She was having to work long hours because she was a single parent. I resented it a lot, but my mother at least came home and did her share when she was there, without expecting me to do it all. She did what she could, but, back then, there wasn't day care and lots of sitters. So it fell to me, out of necessity. Because I took on so much responsibility, so young, my mother rewarded me just as much. She woke up at 4 am to help me get up and to my early morning training sessions (Weight lifting and running), paid for the cab to take me to the gym or the track, and paid for a private gymnastics coach. I'd take my brothers with me to the gym in the afternoon, and they had to do homework or play quietly while I worked with my coach. My brothers used to whine, why does she get to do all of that. And my mother finally told them, "because she earns it every time she takes care of you or cooks meals and picks up the house while I'm at work--and she does all of it without complaining, even though it's hard."

My parents were never around and although my sister is 17 years older than me she never looked after me as she had her own life so my mum always left me with the neighbours when I was little and when I started school I'd be in school all day until she finished working, and dad only came home once a week. Things is, it's already bad that poor Soobin has to suffer like that but how heartless is the father that he just did not care? To the point that the little son offered to pick up his dad's slack by giving up precious time of his childhood.

Yeah it happened to me growing up i was the oldest and so i had to take care of all my brothers and sisters as my mum struggled or had to work while my dad never did anything not cook or clean or help out watching them the stress really does get to you and scar you into adulthood i would do the same thing cry at night when everyone was asleep but in my bedroom my sister who was 2 years apart would help once in while but I would feel bad a tell to focus on her game or school work its horrible watching this girl and to be honest I don't know if her dad will ever really change

I agree, they had already had 2 kids before the twins, he even said he never held her/picked her up once. You get to choose whether or not to have kids or use protection, but children do not get to choose their parents or to be born. Also, some advice: it's easier to accept someone for who they are than to try to change them. From what I can tell he is a fairly docile man who doesnt like to show his emotions but would rather show love for his family by providing for them. Why shame him for that? Also he was born in a family of 8 and considering his older siblings raised him, that means his family couldnt afford a nanny so they werent that well off. He was the fortunate one in his family, but no one in his family was truly pampered.
