yeah, i've noticed that alot. they ignore those problems and always try to turn them into something less serious or just laugh it off. I remember on one show, a guy said he had depression and they told him that it's just his imagination and that everyone gets sad sometimes.

maybe they don't wanna tell him directly... cause OCD is something like a mental problem... in asian country they usually don't go for treatment

There was one girl on this show that was worried because her little sister wasn't eating and she was saying how she wants to get all the way down to 29 or so kg and that she thought she was fat even when doctors told her she was severely underweight. She showed clear signs of anorexia nervosa, yet everyone brushed it aside like it was nothing and it really irritated me.

Loki Hid Oh, it could not be more blatantly obvious that he has OCD. There have been several concerns on this show over the years with obsessive people. Including the smell guy for instance. And the woman who filled the house with medicinal herb jars. The list goes on, lol.

I know that there are some people who have different things that trigger it, some need things to be color organized, some people have to count every time they walk. I remember watching on this MTV show called True Life and it was about two young people who had OCD, one was a girl who that anything she enter a room that had a mirror in it, she had to walk in backwards, and touch the corners of the mirror. Another one had to count everything they did and it had to be even numbers.

Peach Violet People use words like depression way too fast. If she actually had real bad depression she should have gone to a therapist/psychiatrist instead of getting a dog. And the fact that she said that doesn't really change my statement.

***** Yes, I entirely understand this. Treating mental illnesses and helping people recover from traumatic experiences are often done using pets. But my whole point is that people (who comment without having any actual knowledge on the subject) try to diagnose or state any mental illnesses that share symptoms with what the person in the video is experiencing. But the woman in the video itself said that she was feeling lonely and depressed (as in the emotion not the illnes) and people just throw out whatever term they know. You can't just assume she has a disease and tell her to get help. I as a foreigner myself, understand that not everything (whether it's an idiom or wordplay) can be translated but because not everything can be translate literally, we need to Base our arguments on the information that is given to us by the subtitles. Stigma wise, yes I know it's considered uncommon to go to a therapist, but if your problem is big enough and you got enough balls to share it with the whole Korean nation on TV. You should have concluded that your problem should be important enough to consult a psychiatrist even if their is Stigma around the subject. Simply ignoring your health because of stuff like rumours and Stigma is plain stupid.
