I personally liked the gritty style of the alphas, also the sandbox game play. Being able to pick up a random item on the floor and throw it at the guest is so fun. Also the guest ai was so funny and random, it's almost like it alive. The game might be buggy and frustrating but it sure is fun.

@@criticalx2324 the Alphas had better AI, more mechanics, more ways to enter the house and hide from the AI, it had a more eerie feel to it which the fullgame lost, and the Guest which was a character that was basically the face of HN2 before the final release was only in the full game for 1 second

I prefer the full game because it goes back to the old "sneak in stealthfully" gameplay where the alpha still has the "platform and puzzle" gameplay

the alphas had atmosphere, final builds ruined it each time lol. kids dont understand "atmosphere" so they dont care but that hn2 alpha build with the stormy wind, the trees, dilapidated house, the eerie music etc, that's what we call "atmosphere". basically what they scrapped for the full game which was trash.
