Not only did you bring back “Hello Quad Cities,” but you also brought back that awesome “Hello News” package! Hopefully, you keep both well after the 75th anniversary! My challenge to you is to keep it until at least KWQC’s 100th anniversary!
Just want to say, Justin, that for 10 years, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, a TV station called the Atlantic Satellite Network, or ASN for short, used 'Hello News' for their 'Atlantic Pulse' newscast all across the 4 Canadian provinces of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland & Labrador. Those 4 comprise a region of my country called Atlantic Canada. The Maritime Provinces are the first 3 I mentioned, which are embedded into Atlantic Canada. The 4 are located next door, across the International Border, from the State of Maine in the extreme northeastern U.S.
My family and I grew up in Milan, Illinois, with TV6 - Don Rhyne, Andrea Zinga, John Collins, Thom Cornelis. Wheel at 6:30, Jeopardy! at 4:30, and even before then, Tic Tac Dough at 11:30. We left the area at the start of 1987, but I never forgot KWQC, and seeing the station maintain its market-leading position. So good to see the classic "Hello News" music with the current technology and scenery. All the best to you!
I was a kid in Milwaukee in the early 80's so I remember WISN's version of the "Hello" jingle. I have watched many versions of it on RU-vid; it's cool how each city created a montage for this song and made it their own. Hats off to KWQC for bringing this great theme back, with a brand new montage in HD!
