Hellraiser 3: Hell on earth: Deusdaecon Reviews 

In the 90s, I grew up with toys based on Robocop, Terminator, Rambo, Conan, Starship Troopers, Alien and Predator on the shelves, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the new Cenobites were part of some new toyline for kids. 😂

It’s a shame what they did to this series Pinhead was a character with a set of rules and a certain class about him; the writers/ producers turned him into a brute

I saw the "new" cenobites as being bad because pin head lost the human side that had all the imagination, and cruelty of humans, and is just now power without knowledge of human pain and suffering. he made these trying to be like his old self but he had lost the part that made them more

I would have made this new Pinhead a completely different creature just created by Leviathan to replace The Hell Priest, but failed and created a monster with his own mind and one who wants to kill rather than maintaining order.

This has probably been said since this video is 2 years old but "Pinhead" is supposed to have nails - nails with jewels on them in fact - in his head. That's how Clive Barker wrote him in The Hellbound Heart. Pinhead is a nickname given on set and from what I hear Barker hated that name.

Yeah, Pinhead mimicking the stygmata and doing the Jesus pose have no point at all in the movie but I can't help love the scene still. It's him making a mockery of our religion, something he feels is way beneath the kind of being he is.

I like this film cuz of the nostalgia. I was like 7 when this film came out so I was like 8 when I saw it on cable. Still it scared the shit out of me. And this movie was still better than Deader, Hellworld, Revelations, and Judgment.

I seriously hated when the cenobites went to just "evil demons" instead of sensation devoutests.

This was the last good Hellraiser film to me. Clive Barker, who produced and even reworked a lot of the film, directing segments of it, will tell you that. I could debate every point on here, but not for any of the rest of the films that followed. As far as I am concerned, the series ended as a trilogy.

When they start calling them just demons I think that fits only because they said some see them as demons and we have not seen the perspective of the people who see them as angels so Kirsty calling them demons is fitting cause she see's them as demons and still fits in to what pinhead said in the first film.

The way he tilts his head when he does the Crucifixion pose makes me think he's shrugging. "Got my pins in my hands, gonna do some Jesus pose... a little religious symbolism mayhems? Eh Eh?"

16:17 I'd say "You are not the Djinn from 'Wishmaster', and you never will be!" but this movie came before that one. :/

So was Pinhead suppose to be dead in the second film, and this film just brought him back because of the character's popularity?

I miss the older movies...far more interesting. And why couldn't the other Cenobites come back? They ever explain that either?

At 5 minutes, pretty much everything the girl is wearing is back in style. Knee high gladiators, high waisted shorts, fishnets under shorts etc. Fashion is so cyclical. We need to think up some original ideas

The best part about this movie is it introduced me to the band 'Armoured Saint'.

This is when i began to feel Hellraiser series didn't look like Hellraiser (and after hearing that many of the hellraiser sequels were ideas for other movies that had the cenobites put in it to make more money, i suspect this is where it started) and i still consider the Channard cenobite in the second movie defeating Pinhead and his Gash one of the biggest asspulls in the story of the franchise, also if he did that Leviathan would end him, as Pimhead is respected by other beings in hell for his great respect for the rules of hell.

Regarding the scene in the cathedral, it would have been cool had that been an actual ritual. Like summoning new Cenobites, and not those cheap dollar store knockoffs.

I'm a veteran BDSM professional, and piercing like the guy had coming to the ER can send you into shock if you're not careful or inexperienced. And shock can kill you given enough time. It might not be exactly how the movie was going about it, but it does make sense.

“It’s not terrible and bad?” I went to see this at the cinema when it came out and never, ever paid to see another Hellraiser. An interesting short story and a unique first film with some memorable lines followed by unimaginative, talentless and tacky shit. I’d weep but it would be a waste of precious tears.......

The whole action figure commentary makes me laugh, because during the 80s and 90s, they were always marketing Rated R movies to kids as toy lines. The most notable ones I can recall were Robocop and Terminator. It's just hilarious to think about since you know they would never do that nowadays. lol It's just short as the old Flinstone's cigarette commercials. XD

I hated the change of character design of pinhead. I grew up hearing his name was pinhead but seeing the nails. Also turning the character evil is a bummer. I think the church scene with the pins in the hands resembles Jesus?

Don’t know anyone has said this but Adam the woo recently went to that filming location and even the people that own the building help them with the tour for the video for this night club and other scenes in the movie he also did the filming locations in that area

I took this Pinhead as a new one since Pinhead died in Hellraiser 2. So his behavior is different in the previous movies

maybe she had a fuse box. growing up my mom would try to unplug almost everything cause "the lightning could run in on it" as she put it. .. other than something like that i cant really see any reason for it to be unplugged.

Yea this movie has its faults and sort of started the slow change to Pinhead and the cenobites in general being more typical horror villians . However the sheer scope of it all , the gore , and kills all around completely make this movie a must watch , and also the fact that Pinhead is pretty much the star of the movie and him having alot of screen time , AND him being badass and interesting helps alot too . But yea the acting from alot of characters is just horrendous . J.P. Monroe being an unbelievable COCK HEAD is just funny to me , its especially funny that he sucks cock at pretending to be a nice guy when needed . Yes this movie is dumb and filled with cheesyness , but makes for an entertaining film . Also that huge massacre toward the end was godlike even though its weird that Pinhead was killing random people for no reason .

Wait I just realised if the foundations were being laid for that building already it means they must have planned it out already so they were always going to build it like that she just happened to put the box there... especially true when you consider it was the boxes creators descendent that made the building so he must have had a hand before the box was put there... You should do Antichrist by Lars von Trier. While I enjoyed the film because of my voyeuristic appreciation for transgressive art, it has plenty of pretentious symbolism to fuck around with in a review.

This was the last good of the Hellraiser films given it is the last one with Clive Barker involved. He was kicked off not even halfway into the next film. Without him, the series is nothing. Also, it is more that Pinhead wanted the pleasures ruling the world, he never said he would.

Same as with Wishmaster, the first two movies are the only ones worth watching.

I didn't care for this one. I like bloodlines and the 5th one more.

Going from this video, even though it's a shitty followup to the first 2, it looks like a fun and entertaining movie. It's still shit, but it'd probably be another guilty pleasure of mine (At this point, I've only ever seen the first 2 movies when they were on Netflix years ago).

I agree those nails are too big! All I can see are these nails moving around and casting shadows when he talks. I get maybe they thought it would look more badass to have bigger nails in there but it's way too distracting and somehow not more badass 😂
