I don’t know if the “Enchanted Forest” is in the proper location for a den, but if it is, there should totally be a den site there, it would be fun to raise pups somewhere named by children!
Exited for the new DLC. And I could honestly watch an entire TV program of Dave hiking around different areas of YS and talking about their nature and history.
Thank you for all the hard work you do. WolfQuest has and will continue to be one of my favorite games of all time. I've learned so much from these dev vlogs. I've lived with chronic illness my whole life and that would make it difficult to visit Yellowstone, so for a long time WolfQuest has been the next best thing. I'm going to visit with an electrophysiologist soon and hopefully they'll be able to help me visit Yellowstone one day and hike up places like this. I can't wait to see what the future holds.
aye. this game and its devs have my undying loyalty. seven year old me would be knocked flat on her backside from what's happened with the game. it's amazing.
i LOVE these little videos where you guys actually go to yellowstone and film it! this and the game are the closest i will ever get to being there in real life. yellowstone has been on my bucket list since i was a wee little girl and played the game for the first time and mark my words i be there in person one day. i yearn for the day we get other ages as well as female bison in the game. i've recently taken a shine to these guys and having those massive herds of bison running around would pose such an interesting challenge for players to try and single out calves while the whole group bunches together!
It's always so neat to see your on location visits! Your dedication to accuracy is awesome, but I bet these make for some pretty fun trips too, eh? In any case, it looks like you've found quite a fascinating and unique new landscape-- I'm excited to see it brought to life ingame!
Exactly! Staying committed to realism and never taking short cuts is something I admire about all of Wolf Quests dev team. Also, doubles as a great vacation trip up into the heart of nature's wilderness, and where every plant and animal is connected.
Would love to see the river in its glory in spring (major roaring threat/divider). I feel many creeks should get really swollen and raging see how it changes your hunting, den site movements, and territory
Gosh, I'm so excited to visit Yellowstone one day. I'm a teenager, and I've been playing Wolfquest for a while. If I ever got to chose somewhere to go on 'vacation,' it'd be northern Yellowstone. I can't wait to see this beautiful place in game!
I've been reading the wolves of yellowstone series by Rick McIntyre recently and, I just want to say that yellowstone is THE best place in the world to me- it's beautiful, serves an amazing and important purpose, and gives a chance to previously suffering wildlife to thrive again
Oooo! I’m super excited for the new map, I know it’ll take a while but I know that every new update the game puts out will be amazing and have so much passion put into it ❤❤❤ the devs are doing beyond amazing!
I recently purchased WolfQuest , and seeing these update videos, and all the research that goes into the making of the maps, has me super excited to see what new things can be discovered when the time comes.
You know, it's actually quite interesting. I'm going to Yellowstone tomorrow and maybe (If you're still there) we might cross paths! It's cool that you saw bison and a bull elk skull! Perhaps I might retrace your steps when I go to Yellowstone, maybe I might find the same path! (In case you were curious:) I've seen deer, a golden eagle, A hawk and lots and lots of ravens on my way to Utah (I am going though Utah and into Wyoming)! I look forward to visiting my old (and new) wolf dens (from Wolfquest) in real life and revisiting old trails from the game!
You know, I absolutely love the game. But I sincerely and properly love seeing you getting out there, and listening to you explain the features you discover. I hope that you enjoy these adventures as much as we enjoy watching them.
With all this water available, i wonder if we'll ever be able to catch a fish trapped in some shallow pockets somewhere downstream? It could be rare, but still a possibility. Though even if it doesn't happen, this game is amazing anyway. Nice work all those who worked and tested this beautiful work of art.❤
We have yet to hear about wolves in Yellowstone fishing. They just have so many other better choices, in terms of effort/calories, unlike wolves in areas where they fish.
It looks so beautiful there! I have to visit it someday. Just hiking through and enjoy the nature. I love how big, realistic and impactful this game becomes. Cant wait for the map.
Seeing these devlogs always makes me smile. It's amazing to see your dedication to making the game as close to life as possible! I'm hyped for the new DLC! Every time I see videos on Yellowstone, I wish I could go visit it someday. It's way different from the densely packed and flat Netherlands I'm used to. Until that day comes, I'm glad I can explore the area through the eyes of a wolf in game
Wow! Seeing the ins and outs of Yellowstone, one could appreciate how accurately you portray it’s beauty through your game! I will totally be looking into this DLC once it’s finished! And love those bloopers XD
I think this map will be a really nice change of pace for new and old players who have become familiar with Amethyst Mountain, Slough Creek, and even Lost River :) I can't wait to look around in the "Enchanted Forest", and find that kettle you looked at around 3 minutes in. There's some really lovely natural features even in this brief look here, and that bridge will be so cool to see in-game too.
This was so beautiful!! I can't believe the lengths you all go to make quality content for Wolf Quest 3. Its astonishing! However, I couldn't pass up going somewhere so beautiful like that either. The bison were so beautiful just grazing and lazing in the sun. Nature at its finest. Thank you all so so much for these types of videos where we can truly see the beauty. Im so excited to sometime see what Hellroaring mountain may look like. Thank you all so much!!❤❤❤
I'm so excited for the new map! Honestly, one of my favorite aspects of any game is the exploration part, and from the looks of it, Hellroaring mountain will be a very interesting map to explore! Thank you guys for all the hard work you put into making this game!
Hello, I absolutely love wolfquest 3 it is personally one of my favorite games to play especially since i am obsessed with wolves, i have always wanted to go to yellowstone but couldn’t and i hope to be able to go there soon! I love that you are keeping us posted so thank you very much!
I love these educational blurbs! It really brings to light how much work goes into making these maps. Thank you for sharing your journey, and I look forward to the DLC :)
Seeing all the bones scattered around it would be fun to instead of a carcass just despawn when eaten a small area of scattered bones appear for a short while (like a few days) where a carcass were not long time ago, and maybe scavengers like foxes still check it from time to time
You guys never fail to impress me. Im so grateful for all the time and effort and energy you put into the game. These types of videos are honestly such a treat I would watch a whole documentary if you had one.
"Where there's a Will, there's a way" Nature (including us) is so amazing when you put it all together, and zoom out, and even zoom in. But especially when you see how dependent everything is on everything else. We're no different. Which always gets my mind racing on the relative consciousness of all of the different things, both living and nonliving, may have. I wonder that it really IS fully appropriate to use, explicitly, the word 'Will' =) If you think about that enough, you can see and understand why our ancestors put SO MUCH emphasis on treating each and every plant, animal, body of water, and stone on the ground as living and thinking in some respect (through the expression of animistic 'gods', at the time). They must have seen every bit of their surroundings as completely magical. Because it IS magical!
i love that you guys do this to make the game all that more realistic. im excited for the DLC and i do agree that there should be a den site in the enchanted forest
Thank you for the tour of the newest map area ^^ looking forwad to it being rendered in game. It is always nice to hear a bit about the real world locations 😊
This sounds very exciting and I can't wait to explore the area when it's released. The bison being there is quite amusing given how they often just appear here and there in the game, doing their own thing and not giving a damn.
I am so looking forward to the new map! I had no idea Hellroaring Mountain was the only granite mountain in the whole park. This unique geography will look fabulous in the map!
Hello WolfQuest! I've been a big fan of the project for a long time-I remember having to fax a permission slip to play online... Are you guys concerned at all about the new Unity payment model? I know that many projects are moving to Unreal from Unity because of it, but I also know that switching engines is a massive undertaking for any project, let alone one as small as WolfQuest. I really hope this project will continue to stay afloat! I'll support it how I can!
I’m a future game designer and I have been playing this game since it became a thing. I love watching the development of this game! It gives me hope for my future lol
SRY IM LATEEE I WAS AT SCHOOLLLLLLL but oml im so exited!!!!!! You guys deserve so much more then a small game for all of your work. Thank you so much.
@@WolfQuestGame okay, I was wondering since there's some wolves that do fish but they are further in the west near the coast and that's where I got the idea from.
The hiking trail might be a cool achievement. a two part achievement from the beginning to the end, you gain half of it when you find the start of the trail and get the other half once you reach the end. EDIT: maybe each of the devs could add in a personal item to the game as an easter egg, something the represents their area for the game development or yk a thing they hold to the game. That would also make an awesome achievement list and their can be a silly little name (also those key item could be each devs respective wolves as plushes or small figures, and their achievement is labeled as their names)
I am excited to see the new map, but i am also concerned about what you guys think about the situation that's arisen with Unity in the last couple days. I am concerned for eduweb
@@WolfQuestGame according to what they said though, and from what i heard from other devs talking about it, all unity games will be affected once they reach and pass a certain point. I am very worried about you guys losing money. You all deserve all the support you get and so much more.
I was wondering as like a suggestion if there could be a way to organize wolves more decently. Like folders or different tabs or groups. I wanted to save my wolves by family but there’s only favorites so I thought maybe it would be good for there to just be a option for people who want wolves to just be more organized.
so you know how you can bark and your family will come to you to check out why youre barking? i think it would be really useful if you can summon one specific pup or your mate by locking onto them and then barking. this would be useful if one pup is wandering away and you want to call them back
