I was 6 when I saw my first bunch of patched riders looking out from the family wagon in 1964. That's when I knew I'd be a biker too some day. All Harleys, guys in jeans, boots, leathers. All wearing skidplates or legal open-faced helmets at best. Just felt different, but then again....IT WAS! Support 81. AFFA LI! 💀👊

I remember hanging outside Winchell's all night donut shop on huntington Dr. In Monrovia can. In the early 70s. When we all still went to each other's parties before the guns came into play. Hells Angels, Vagos, devil's disciples, monks, coffin cheaters, even the chosen few, sundowners, rightouse ones, Hessians, everybody was about bikes, booze n broads. And the next party and where the chicks got naked and rode on the back of your bike from desert center all the way to Parker Arizona. So we could party with the dirty dozen in the dirt pull out across from the Sundance floating bar. The dirty dozen patched over to the red n white. Fuck now I'm homesick for those days
I was and have been an Angel fan since 1965, when the magazine article came out. From then on, I knew I wanted to ride Harley's and have since 1970 when I got back from Nam. I never was a 1%er but rode with a great club in Dallas in the early 70s.
