True, but that doesn’t make her any less grating on a rewatch. I think the song could have literally ended with Charlie butting in like, “OH YOU TACKY PIECE OF-“ “GUYS!” It’d have totally set her character development up later for confronting Sera as well. Giving her a bit more of a spine so it didn’t feel hella out of place when Vaggie was like, “Keep a cool head” and she goes, “No!” I literally think Mimzy was there as a plot device to retell Alastor’s story. give the audience a view of Lucifer being like, “Yeah thats what our citizens are like.” When Alastor fucks up the loan sharks, and to give Alastor a moment where he tells his good friend to fuck off for the sake of the hotel. Mimzy only needed to be there for the last one, and it could have been another character too. Vaggie explained Alastor’s backstory in the Pilot, she could do it again. Anyone could attack the hotel and Alastor would defend it and we’d get the same shit without the annoying character.

it was SO good! the song gets more chaotic as it continues and mimzy just tops it off with her random appearance. plus, her va’s singing is absolutely amazing and fits the beat. i can not get why ppl let the character’s writing get in the way of her singing 😭 it’s great

I love mimzy, not only that, but her part was supposed to be for the comedic effect (especially since her part of the song is basically her saying that she's finally in the show after a long time). Really want to see more of her!
