Basically, the Cherubs are trying to get him to not commit suicide, a sin. But it isn't for him to be able to go to Heaven. They KNEW he was a bad person (experimenting on the poor and all that.) This act is for "all the people who were positively affected by his technology *in Heaven.* " The Cherubs even stated "We are going to save that shitty old man no matter if he like it or not." Rewatch the Cherubs commercial at the start, they are basically "doing a good deed" to advertise and promote their business, similar to how a company doing a charity for clout. And Heaven is pissed mainly because the Cherubs' performance made them look bad. Even the tone of that deer Cherub sound like a snobby receptionist telling them they don't have to come to work tomorrow.

Why did they think Lyle was going to heaven? Well, the cherubs were trying to save his sole, so wouldn’t that mean they’re trying to get him into heaven? Suicide is a damnable sin and the cherubs managed to stop him from committing suicide, so he wouldn’t go to hell for that. They just didn’t consider that maybe he has unforgivable sins in his past with cherub involvement.

I still think “filthy demon!” Is the best line. So angelic, so archaic and sooooo appropriate to an angel

As a Christian, I love this show, but sometimes I worry that people will take it too seriously lol Also, the reason Moxxie said you couldn't ruin opera is because he LIKES opera and musical theater, but I don't blame you for not knowing that. Last episode, they mention him liking an actor who played the Phantom of the Opera character and nobody who didn't know who that was got it then either. "We don't know yet and that's ok" should be a reaction video slogan

My guess is, is because humans are supposed to die in their own time, a human dying by an action caused by a Cherub ( or Imp for that matter) has died due to their meddling and outside of when they were supposed to. Extending life is okay, because it gives the mortal a chance to redeem themselves, killing them, even accidentally isn't.

The reason they’d be mad is because they died at the hands of an angel. Regardless of his actions, an angel isn’t supposed to murder a human. Which is why the Cherubs were tossed out. They sinned. He might have been a horrible person doomed to hell, but that doesn’t matter in regards to their actions.
