Why are their hallucinations so different? Because that's how hallucinations work. Blitzo is a traumatized hurt person, he's got some mental health issues and his life is lacking. Moxie on the other hand has issues, but has a loving partner his wants are met. Blitz has shit to work through. Moxie is already working through shit.

Also moxxie's is phantom of the opera based for his hallucination cause that is part of his personality where blitz is more of a cup head meets early grunge rock video type vibe for his darker past.

Blitzo's hallucination has a lot of similarities to the works of Fleischer Films. They were an animation studio in direct competition with Disney in the 1920's-50's, and made their name through some early adaptations of Betty Boop, Popeye, and even some early Superman adaptations. In the end, they couldn't compete with Disney, particularly when Disney found success with feature length films like Snow White, but their style did remain, and has seen a bit of a revival with works like Cuphead leveraging the distinctive style. Also, Stolas is listed as a Great Demon Prince in the Ars Goetia, part of the Lesser Key of Solomon (an apocryphal text of unknown authorship thought to have been assembled between the 12 and 17th centuries CE). In terms of overall power, he's definitely in the upper 1/3 of demon nobility. Imps and Hellhounds are at the bottom of the Hellborne social hierarchy, but Stolas is about 3-4 steps down from the top (Lucifer, Rulers of the Rings of Hell, Other Goetic Demons, Stolas).

9:09 Actually, leaving people restrained and alone in a room for an unknown amount of time, especially in a bad situation for them is usually a good call for building anxiety and stress... There are only 2 factors here that reduces this to the point of being negligible: 1. They aren't completely isolated, the agents have held the two of them in the same room which allow for them to play off each other to ease their stress... which is what we see Blitzo do. 2. They haven't taken into account that their captives are used to much more stressful environments than the one they're in (Hell) and as a result have formed a bubble of sorts made up of sarcasm and dark humour, this allows them to mentally separate themselves from the situation their in. The most effective way to leave them on their own would be to have them separated in their own isolation rooms, this will leave them with no way of comforting each other or knowing the others condition, As for the mental separation, to apply pressure to their Psyche It would be best to introduce some dangerous... stimulants to the room... for example wheeling in a cart of a bunch of different painful torture instruments... and then telling them "I'll be right back" before leaving... this will cause the subjects mind to picture what might happen to them in the future which will lessen the effect of their bubble separation.
