Stolas in this episode is just...... Terrifying

Stolas was afraid of the whole "being found out part" because like he said back at the first and fifth episode, His book shouldn't be lend to anyone else, let alone give Imps the opportunity to go to the living world as it is not 'legal' as he said, he could get in a lot of trouble himself if he got found out because there are a lot of more powerful beings who could easily overpower him and could keep tabs on him, if you are interested here are the rankings so far: • #1 Lucifer Magne/Morningstar. I really love the changes of art styles in the hallucinations. Moxxie's hallucination is very 90s Disney aesthetic with many Phantom of the Opera vibes while Blitzo's is more grunge with acid trip vibes. Verosika is very saturated, Fizzarolli is like a rubber-hose black-and-white cartoon, and Striker is all beige like an old western. Also all the voices in Blitzo's hallucination, except Moxxie, are voiced by Blitzo's actor.

NOTES: > In Blitzo's hallucination, it is disorganized, messy, and ugly. This is how Blitzo sees himself in his mind. > Note the clothes of Blitzo, a clown costume, Blitzo sees himself as a bad joke or a clown in life > Striker, Fizzaroli, Verosika, and Stolas in Blitzo's bad trip are people of interest to Blitzo. Striker is an interest as he is the one that planted the seeds of doubt as seen in ep.5. Fizzaroli is an interest as he is most likely the instigator of Bltzo's trauma, if you observe, Fizzaroli is drawn like those old Micky mouse cartoons, meaning that he's the oldest form of memory. Verosika is an interest as she is the latest "functional" relationship that Blitzo had before Stolas. When compared from the other two, Verosika is "dirtier" looking or more "tainted", this is how Blizo sees her, because he knows that it's his fault. > What Verosika says is what Blitzo thinks she thinks about him. If you focus enough, Blitzo is the one talking as Verosikas voice. > Stolas on top of the stairs, Blitzo, like what Moxxie said, craves affection, Stolas being on the top of the elevated stairs means that Stolas is Blitzo's way of escaping the mess that he is. > Also the two silhouettes beside the sitting Stolas is also Blitzo > Blitzo, before going up the stairs, was dropped on by some gooey stuff, could indicate on how dirty he feels, emotionally. And by climbing the stairs to Stolas, he believes that I would clean him from all his tainted thoughts and bad experiences, which some of them he caused > The chains that wrap around Blitzo could signify his slavered reliance to Stolas. The book is what keeps them together. > The reason as to why Blitzo adopted Loona, from what I think, is that Blitzo craves intimacy, but for this case, parental intimacy. He wants something to fill that void that he has > The summoning circle that the dead agents drew to summon Stolas is a Biblically accurate summoning circle from The Lesser Key of Solomon. > Stolas can't actually hurt the humans as he is restricted by the rules of the summon. Summoned demons can not hurt their summoner, that's why Agent 2 is still fine. That and Stolas is canonically a pacifist and rarely uses force or goes to violence. > 12:18 remember that sound I said in ep3? Blitzo was trying to tune out all the things that he doesn't want to hear. > 21:24 Dog do in fact can not see red, or something along those lines. It's dark and theres red light, so Loona is probably seeing a lot of dark grays. All in all, this episode somewhat explores the trauma, problems, and personal hell of Blitzo Again, might be missing some stuff.

I had seen that the reason Stolas didn't kill the 2 humans was due to the way he arrived. If you look closely, while Stolas is speaking through agent 2, the "dead" agents were creating a summoning circle. Part of that particular ritual acts as a protection against the summoned entity. So basically, Stolas could only scare agents 1 & 2, but do them no real harm. Granted, they might have some trouble sleeping soundly for a while.

IN your Hazbin Hotel reaction. When Alastor was introduced and was showing off his powers you mentioned that this was power scaling and that they showed us a glimpse of his powers to establish how dangerous he is and that they will keep showing more and more of his power as time goes on. Well the same thing applies to Stolas. in the episode 1 they showed Stolas watching Blitz through bubbles, in episode 2 he took his daughter to a distant solar system to watch a supernova while singing a lulaby. He also turned an attacking imp to stone. In episode 5 it is implied that he is unkillable unless you use an angelic weapon and now in episode 6 they showed him use many different powers and abilities from Necromancy, telekinesis, possession, hacking the tv, teleportation, shapeshifting, an ability to watch Blitz and a few other stuff. Yet most people tend to forget how powerful he is. Unlike Alastor who flaunts his power at every chance Stolas does not do that. He seems so normal and powerless its easy to forget what he is capable off. He avoids using his powers for the most part but when he does use it. It is epic.

Can we call Vivzipop a company at this point? They started out as just a bunch of independent content creators coming together to make a passion project but are they a company now?

This episode is just...absolutely amazing, and gorgeous! That scene with Stolas was just incredible, the animation, the cinematography, the colors, the horror effects, ahhhhhh I loved it!!!

This episode reminds you of just *what* Stolas is, and how terrifying a true demon can be.

"D.H.O.R.K.S." stands for "Demon Hunter Organisation (with) Really Kickass Swords" (but I don't know if it's canon). But it's the most written explenation I found.

You kinda did some unintentional foreshadowing here talking about demons that are higher up the food chain than Stolas. Like by next episode you're going to see for yourself how that plays out. Lets just say...Stolas is a prince but he's not a King.

Interesting thing to note is that Blitz in his drug scene looks like a clown. I think that is meant to represent how he sees himself.

This episode took a while to make for them, it took like 2 months longer then usual. Its a great episode and you can really tell they put a lot of effort into it!!!

Despite what loona says I love that the first thing she does is protect blitzo and then later when her and Blitzo are working together they synchronize with each other so perfectly as if they’ve been fighting side by side since forever. Same with moxxie and millie

I've got a theory about the DHORKS. What I get from their screentime is that they used to be weeb friends in college together. One day, demons appeared and killed the guy's mom, after which they both swore to expose demons to the world and find a way to fight them. This is likely why their entire unit uses the weapons they do, because the two main agents thought it was badass to equip their people with swords and throwing stars. The death of the guy's mother drives them to accomplish their goals, but even with such a terrible event they still can't shake their weeb tendencies, just nerding out despite the chaos and combat.

Fhun Fact: it is possible to smell colors, its cal led Synesthesia

I mean Stolas is in a class of demon fourth from the top in the hierarchy, after Lucifer, Lucifer's Wife(Lylith) and Daughter(Charlie), and the other six of the princes of the seven rings of hell (Lucifer is the seventh, not Stolas, if that wasn't clear). He has so much to worry about when he talks about getting in trouble.

I remember seeing this for the first time and just being awestruck at Stolace's entrance. It's such a show of demonic power and was staged for maximum impact. Two things. One: Notice Stolace didn't kill any humans? It might have something to do with the fact that demon royalty killing people in the human realm would be readily brought to Lucifer's attention. Two: Kind of interesting that Stolace was able to teleport right to Blitz like that. The real question is whether the sense of danger was linked to Blitz himself or to the book. That book falling into human hands would be a catastrophe, so it would make sense that he has a sort of tracker on it.

The Moxxie part of halucination .. song was a ref to Disney not Hammilton! Blitzo was also a ref to Phantom of the Opera! Fun Fact ; The same team of animators was the one who animated the disney part ... with the disney artstyle and animation!

It really is a joy to watch Nate react to these. Also fun to remember how much anticipation buildup we had while waiting for them to come out! (Vivzie has put together a hierarchy of demons over on IG-the Ars Goetia [a list of demons found in a real book called "The Lesser Key of Solomon"] which include Stolas and his family, among others, are on Tier 3. Lucifer is at the top, and his wife Lillith and daughter Charlie are Tier 2. Overlords (like Angel Dust's horrible abusive boss) are Tier 4; some of them can be especially powerful humans like Alastor, but most are hell-born (I think?). Then it's Sinners, demons who used to be human and can't reproduce in Hell. Skipping down, Imps are basically low-tier exploited workers, which is why Striker may have been genuinely impressed that Blitz managed to create his own business.Though this may change in the future as Hazbin Hotel moves forward, or may have been tweaked already.) Now we're all just sitting around pining for Episode 8...

Sadly Lucifer will most likely never show up in Helluva Boss since he'll defenitely show up in Hazbin Hotel and Vivzie is propably contractually not allowed to use any of the Hazbin Hotel characters in other shows.

Yes Stollas can still get in trouble since in hells hierarchy he is basically in the 4th area. He still answers to lucifer, lilith, charlie and the seven deadly sins

(Segment 1/2) Me and my mom do this whole duo thing on the song in this episode, even though im younger than 13. ( shes fine with it i watch hazbin hotel too) I just dont say the curse words, but she knows blitz's part and i know the whole song so i just sing moxxies part and mom says blitzs part. Considering Blitzø was confused about "insurance" in the pilot episode, Blitzø has watched probably old videos to be tricked by double glass

Moxxie and Blitzo's hallucinations were based on their tastes in music. Also, the reason they didn't bring up past episodes until the few latest ones was because they wanted to make room for character development before getting into anything serious.

Trust me stolas isn't just a pretty face hes a demon he is the great demon prince of hell he commands almost 40 some legions of the ars goetia family he just has manners and doesn't like to fight unless its truly necessary like this for example

This is by far one of their better episodes, amazing fight scene, good joke lines, the whole demonic entrance, the musical number. This was that one episode that made it feel worth the wait for it to come out. But I just love the way they do the lighting in their animation. Not sure how they do it or what all programs they use but the over the top lighting for the scenes is jaw dropping.

This episode is by far my favorite because of the character development and the animation in the fight scene!

I wouldn’t want to take that coffee order either, but I MEMORIZED IT :P I’m curious to try it out at my local Starbucks but I’d rather just get my favorite (caramel frap) and not make the employee’s lives even more of a living hell. I really love Millie and Loona working as a team as well! Hope we’ll get to see more interactions between them in Season 2!

As a note for Stolas being summoned, he ain’t have to do all that. If you notice, he can open portals at will. That was all for show.

Stolas is a "Great Prince of Hell". He teaches astronomy and is knowledgeable about herbs, plants, and precious stones. He is often depicted as a raven or a crowned owl with long legs. he is mentioned in the grimoire of Goetia

Love the genuineness of your reaction, it was nice seeing you so engaged you just *had* to rewind and watch Loona's awesome fighting again. I find it nice when reactors do that, so long as it's not overdone. It was hilarious how you thought it was Lucifer despite Stolas saying it was his impish little plaything. And I enjoyed how you took us getting more of an insight into Blitz's mindset and inner demons. Stolas didn't kill the DHORK leaders since the mythological one he's based on is a more passive demon inclined towards no more violence than needed for his goal. Also teaches astronomy to people, because he's eeeevil, giving people *knowledge* like that.

this is one of my favorite episodes.. the animation was amazingly done... Stolas took the cake at the end not gonna lie.. it was so surprising that it just made the episode.

I can not, for the life of me, tell you how many times I've watched this episode. It's my favorite animation-wise and the next one is my favorite story-wise. I also could not tell you how many times I've watched that one, too. *Vivzie and crew my absolute beloveds* 🧡🧡🧡

My theory for why Agents One and Two were left alive was because Stolas came to the mortal world via summoning circle; usually those came with an element of protection for the summoners/persons involved.

Random trivia bit. The sigil that the reanimated agents draw in their own blood is actually the one associated with Stolas in the Ars Goetia (part of the Lesser Key of Solomon). He actually managed to scribe his own summoning sigil from beyond the veil. ...that is utterly terrifying. Also, Stolas is extremely powerful and high ranking as a Great Demon Prince (again from the Ars Goetia), but there are others who are well above him. In this version of Hell, Lucifer is at the top, below him are 6 other demon kings who embody each of the 7 deadly sins, and control an entire ring of Hell (Lucifer is associated with the Pride ring, even though he has dominion over all of Hell). Below these are the Goetic demons, of which there are 72 described in the Lesser Key of Solomon, and Stolas is about in the top 25% of those IIRC.

Stolas fears getting in trouble because as far as demon princes go, he's not exactly high on the totem pole. When your main interaction with humans down the millennia is teaching them astronomy and botany, any demon prince of darker purpose will outrank you. Any of those representing the Seven Deadly Sins, for example.

A detail many overlook. We never see Stolus looking up towards a camera. So why is he in the recording? Because he put that in afterwards. And that 'Signal lost'? That's him deleting the evidence. While he is back in Hell. Why did he put himself in looking at the camera? To rub it in. At least that's my take. As for what could be trouble for Stolus? Well, there is at least one more layer of demon nobility between him and Lucifer. Considering how powerful he is, that is frightening. On the other side, there was a comic that got adapted into the show 'Lucifer' where his second name 'Morningstar' get's explained. He was the angel that ignited all the in the universe when it was created. All the suns. And he didn't loose any of that power when he fell. So if the Lucifer of 'Helluva Boss' and 'Hazbin Hotel' is on a similar level, and considering Stolus' power it might well be, there are only very few beings in creation that could match him. In short, even Stolus can be killed/destroyed and that might not even be the worst fate possible.

There is a lot of emotions in this one and the next

Asking Moxxie a question he already knows the answer to was the best way to test the truth bomb. If for some reason you like the color green, but you act like you're ashamed of it, if I know you like green, it's a great way to see if you're being forced to tell the truth, and it gives no information to anyone. And Blitz isn't afraid of Striker, he's confronting an insecurity related to Striker. I suspect he's jealous of Striker's devil may care attitude and the freedom Striker enjoys while being held back by the various responsibilities and regrets Stolas, Verosica, Moxxie, and Fizzarolli represent there. Remember, Stolas is very powerful, but he's hardly the most powerful. Mammon, Asmodeus, Lucifer, and the like could all wipe the floor with him. He needs to mind the rules or the rules will destroy him.

I watched every one of your vivziepop reaction videos sir and I must say that each reaction video was truly a priceless you really have quite the range of emotions and I enjoyed every one of them.

I am so late to this reaction 😭 but this has to be my favorite episode so far

Im glad youre enjoying these, they are super awesome, but if i may offer a smidge of advice. try not to pause in the MIDDLE of dialogue. too often i see reactors miss bits of information, jokes, etc. because they paused WHILE the characters are saying things. and then you unpause and anything they might have been saying is forgotten or missed. If you must pause during dialogue, i recommend maybe going back 5-10 seconds to rehear things you might have missed. otherwise, i really enjoy your enthusiasm to these!

I love this episode a lot as it peeks into some of the character's heads quite a lot. One I major thing I can point out but Stolas' advances towards Blitz makes them both feel happy and wanted. Stolas was most likely married off to his wife for political purposes but he was likely gay/bi and had no real interest in her and wants to find a real soul mate. Blitz is obviously bi/pan sexual so he has no problem with it but he has a lot of difficulty feeling love for another because he's been betrayed before or something. It's pretty sad really giving the reality the two characters have to go through in order to understand who they really are. It's my favorite episode for a lot of reasons.

Stolas calling himself a real demon bc he’s actually in the goetia in the lesser key of Solomon :3 that was the real sigil used to summon him if you’re into demonology :) he’s a real demon like the demon Paimon in the movie hereditary. They’re both from the lesser key of solomon. The sigil used in that film was also the real sigil used :)
