Good review. Would of liked to see more of hood and mention of face cover. More from a sailors perspective. The hood is that color so they can see your coconut bobbing in the water in MOB.
Fantastic video, really great review so thanks for taking the time to do this. I am thinking of getting this jacket for walking the dogs in the winter here in Edinburgh, Scotland. This jacket retails at 325 pounds here; but I have seen it as cheap at 275 pounds which is a real bargain.
I don't understand why it's so hard for an expensive jacket to just have more pockets. It always feels like theres at least one thing lacking in high tech gear.
Can’t beat the performance of this jacket at that price point. Pit zips would of made it perfect, but regardless of that I’m going to look to cop this in another color way.
It depends on the look and function your expecting from the jacket you want. The Aegir is not as long in the hem. It looks a bit more sporty and has that outdoor enthusiasts look. I believe the Aegir also has pit zips which gives it an advantage over the Offshore. The Offshore is longer in the hem. Feels like a solidly built ALL weather jacket. It's collar isn't as high as the Aegir Race and looks more like a high weather resistant collar. The Aegir is a bit shorter and sporty...... the Offshore is a bit longer and would be great for walking and or running town around town or boat deck in prolonged wet weather.
@@nauticalcaptain3182 too many to pick from. Maybe Smartwool, maybe The North Face Future Fleece long sleeved crew short. Layers in general differ so just go with what works best
