Helmet Hair | How do you protect your hair on a Motorcycle? 

Haven’t even started watching and liked it. This is exactly what I was looking for: a black woman with a protective style who wears a helmet

I don’t own a bike, I don’t even have my license for one yet, but I do really want a bike. My biggest problem is trying to figure out how to wear my hair in a helmet bc I have thick curly hair… this video really helped, thank you!

Thank you so much for this!!! Been with my husband for 13 years he’s been trying to get me more into riding. But what to do with my hair is a real issue! One of our longest rides was only like 3 hours round trip, but my head was BUMPin because I had a full head weave in. This past summer I tried cornrows. Still so painful.😩 He got me my first bike for Mother’s Day 2022, so this year I want to be READY. Will try the wraps you showed, knotless braids, slick back buns & hopefully can find a way to wear my curls under that helmet. Keep the videos up, inspiring!🏍️

I love knotless braids for riding and it’s now my go to style! Preferably half braided half knotless, my hair is thick so it’s most comfortable for me on LDR! I wear a silk scarf to protect my edges when taking my helmet off and on! Love this kind of content! ❤️

Im mexican with short curly hair (i stopped straightening it years ago!) thank you for the video! I ride with a satin bonnet underneath a cotton balaklava, but it still ends up so flat, especially in the heat. Instant subscription because NOT enough people talk about this shit!!🎉 I want more videos like this in the world! ❤ Im gonna get me some long neck gaiters tho to protect my skin, 2 in 1!!

Thank you! I take my MSF course this week and I’ve just started thinking about this. I’ve got a big head and bra strap length dreads that I’m quite proud of. My new hobby can’t be out here messing with my crown. Also, if anyone has any chocolate channel recommendations (new sub to your channel) let me know. Yes thank you for this video I am newly entering the bike life and was worried about my hair and if I will still be able to wear protective hairstyle and make sure my hair doesn't get damaged. This video has helped so much this topic needs to be more talked about.

Thank you for this super informative video. I don’t have the beautiful braided hair like you but my curls do get ruined every time I put on a helmet. And when I take it off I feel so goofy looking and not like myself 😂🥲 I’m going to try to master the low bun hairstyle and I’m going to buy the little hat & neck scarf thingy. It’s also really nice to be able to protect my helmet (and face) from all the product in my hair. Thank you for providing the motorcycle big sister advice for me :D most women I know who ride have straight hair and don’t know the struggle

This was very helpful. I’m a male returning to riding after about 5 years 😩 I used to have a lil fro now I have fairly thick freeform locs. I tried on my old helmet, to check the fitment, I definitely don’t wear that size anymore 🤣

Personally I like to use the durags and I wrap the ends around my ponytail to secure the my ponytail in the long back part. The satin does help the helmet slide on and off easier.

Thank you so much for this video! I’m new to riding, I only have a 200cc scooter but I like to be safe. Pulling that helmet over my braids felt like I was ripping hair out my head lol. I’m gonna buy one of those axial sleeves. I’m also getting a serious haircut today so no more long hair, I’d rather have a more comfy ride lol.

Now it’s at my button and alittle pasted there i’ve been wondering how i’d handle keeping it fromt he back tire now know! I need a neck wrap or gaiter and a extra long hair bonnet ! I have long locs n I let them just blow in the wind lol. But I am thinking that the sudden thinning I'm getting at the ends is in part due to me not putting them up or in a pony tail (even though I hate them). But ur absolutely right as they do start smelling from the outside air n especially if it's sunny. So I will try these tips thanks!
