HELP Apheresis (Blood Washing) for ME/CFS, Long Covid: My Experience of Seven Treatments

In this video, I describe my trip to Bayreuth, Germany last year to have seven HELP apheresis treatments for my ME/CFS (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome). I had so many microclots in my blood that it had turned black! The seven treatments relieved my circulation of these clots, improved blood flow and normalised my blood colour, ultimately improving my health a solid 20%. This video is also relevant for Long Covid and POTS. Research has found microclots in ME/CFS and LC and there is a strong rationale for HELP apheresis as a treatment to improve, although probably not cure, these kinds of illnesses.

What was the cost price of this treatment? Could you put the exact references to the center you went to in the comments?

The treatment costs 1400 Euro per treatment. Most need between 4-5 treatments. Check the info box for the treatment centre list offering this treatment (I went to Bayreuth) - you will find the details there.

Sorry I missed this comment until now. HELP Apheresis is 1400 Euro (in most German clinics). Immunoadsorption is a different and more expensive treatment at 2500 Euro.

Yes, indeed, I do still practice brain retraining - more things I’ve created or adapted myself - and have found it softens the ANS side of things well but hasn’t helped me so much beyond that for now.

Each treatment is 1400 Euro and most need 4-5 though I needed 7. AirBnb costs in Bayreuth vary depending if you are looking for a room (usually less than 1,000 Euro p/m) or an apartment (which can be found between 1,200-2,000 Euro p/m), though the city is quite expensive.

I didn't take any Covid vaccines myself. The clotting pathology in ME/CFS is created by the illness itself. You can look up the work of Prof. Resia Pretorius about this. You are correct that the vaccine can also create the same pathology of microclotting as part of 'post-vax syndrome' and some post-vax patients also try HELP apheresis. I don't have Long Covid but ME/CFS, as stated in the video.

These people… been battling with them for years now. I’m not vaxed, still have long covid, had CFS before covid. People can’t see beyond their own biases at all anymore.

I have ME/CFS, as I say in the video, and have had for six years. I did not take the Covid vaccine. All three (ME/CFS, LC and the vaccine) can create microclotting.

Oh for god sakes Russel Brand is rotting your brain, I did not get vaxed because they are indeed dangerous but I have long covid anyway and there are tons of people just like me. Don’t let your bias blind you.

What do you then call me/cfs that is caused by a virus like ebv or bacteria like borrelia, for which we don't have vaccines? Ooppppss, sorry for uncovering your dumbness!
