Thank you. I accidentally hit my own walker after moving around in my bathroom after getting up to go wash my hand. Apply pressure and if anything call. Luckily with the medication fee I was referred to Agulation Service for nurse consult too. It’s too bad I assumed she would send me a secure message of contacts after I listened to an automatic training message lol. Didn’t have pin or paper lol.
Thanks, Dr. Jefferson for such great teaching. I take baby ASA daily, Pradaxa bid, and Plavix qd. Chronic Afib and lower leg microvascular insufficiency diagnoses are a bummer. Chronic LE wounds are not any fun. San Antonio VA medical care system is a farce!!!
Thanks for your reminder Doctor J. I am a theatre orderly in Perth Western Australia and i also happen to be on Apixiban/Eliquis 5mg twice a daily and im always finding thru the week that i get bruised easily and when i get the odd cut or scab then yeah i bleed a lot especially with nose bleeds. But i had a septoplast last year to stop that. I do had cardic issues which is why im on Eliquis and other heart meds. 36yo male.
☀️🍏🖤Took my neighbor to get her Elq. while bringing her back from dyal. It is a really expensive drug. We were talking about natural blood thinners like kale. She often bleeds on her arm after her treatment and has to wear bandages. Great video, Doctor!👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿🌺🌺🌺
I know someone who took a full bottle of blood thinners, plus 2 full bottles of meds,it was 30 minutes before they could get to her, she's in ICU right(sedated)now,She just started meds to treat anxiety, she's 42,,she's been in not good health,,started when her left leg balloon, it's been downhill from there, please pray for her.
I had major back surgery, and ended up with a blood clot. I was on 2 medications. Shots in my belly, and Coumadin. Was not fun. After a few weeks, the shots were done, but I took the Coumadin for about 6 months.
Dr Jeff you're so right! I'm currently on Elequis and caught myself from falling and banged my arm pretty hard. I ended up developing a 10 cm hematoma and my arm heavily swelled. I ended up having to go to the hospital and having surgery to break up and remove the hematoma
Dr. I have factor v leiden and benign familial pemphigus. I currently have many blood clots (including DVT) due to a recent surgery, taking HRT and the gene mutation. I was hoping to take a liquid low-dose aspirin instead of a lifetime of Eliquis. Any thoughts?
Should we be taking blood thinners for the rest of our lives for peoples who have d dimer that is very high and the nerves that have dried up in the head
