I don't live in US but as a human with rationale, i've broken down in the face of all the horrible things that've happened to people only cause their skin colour was different. As outsiders we knew about and despised the historical events but we never truly grasped that all that segregation still went on to this day, until now. Reading about what atrocious tragedies black communities suffered in the recent years made my skin crawl. Hate is never okay, anywhere in the world! I'm furious that i can't do anything to spar change! But i'm also grateful to creators like you who have at least have a platform of people to inspire, thank you for speaking.
Think of the countless lives you have saved by taking such a brave and powerful stance at this time in history. It's only by repeating our truth can we become the change we wish to see and get people to do what we want.
I’m so happy and proud of you for putting this up for awareness. There are content creators that have more subs than you that havent even bothered with this issue and that frustrates me, im glad you’re using your platform. Change can happen and we can face these challenges together and work hard to prove it ❤️
Thank you. I am feeling the same way right now in trying to express what's going on. Thanks for not being silent and trying. And thank you to everyone who is fighting in any way they can.
No no noo, dont fall for his trap, all donations go somewhere right?! It sure as hell isnt to "BLM" or whatever you call that bull ish, it actually goes straight to the governor.
Don't run away from this emotion. Us black people have been told our entire lives that we're too emotional. Too reactive. Too angry. It's how the social political narrative silence the victims of injustice. By gaslighting and invalidating the feelings and experiences. We should all be angry We should all feel emotional. And we especially should be reactive AND active. Systemic racism needs systemic change. The power is the people. Exercise your right to protest. Be educated by becoming aware and INVOLVED in your local politics. If a politician or a judge or a police chief is doing anything that you don't like be vocal. Go see them. Call them. Then call them again. Donate to national organizations. Show LOUD support for the once who are working in those fields towards actual change. Be mindful of those who are only performative in their activism. And above all recognize that this feeling of hurt and grief is something that the black community has had to feel for hundreds of years. And it's unfair and evil, but together we can turn that hurt into change. I've always loved your content. So on a personal note it always makes me feel good when someone who's work I admire shows genuine empathy and sympathy towards my struggles and the struggles of people like me.
Thank you for this. The call to action. The emotion. The recognition that tweets and profile pics, while helpful, and any other virtual virtue signaling, are not "enough." Continue to add your voice. Talk to your friends. Check their preconceptions real time. Arrest your own thoughts. Recognize that it is not just a problem for "them." It is an issue for us all. In the past protest were just simple problems but now.... It's more then just "YOUR MAKING US POOR PEOPLE MORE ON TAXES THEN THE RICH" but it's more like "WE ARE NOT LETTING YOU TURN OUR COUNTRY INTO ANOTHER INSLAVE CITIES" it scares me
