I moved to Virginia a couple of years ago from North Carolina, and it's so sad to see the disturbing effect of drugs around this area. I live in the Valley, Rockingham area, and I worked at an Oral Surgery office for the past 2 years and we take out all the teeth of so many of our patients...most of times due to drugs. Meth and other IV drugs. It's so sad. Debbie it is so hard to tell you this, but prepare for yourself for a long journey. My mother is addicted to cocaine and crack. I was about 8 or so when she started and I'm 27 now, and she's still battling it. Just know that supporting her is going to mean denying her money and avoiding constantly taking her in. It is easy to enable addicts, by feeding them, clothing and letting them sleep in our homes. Like some others have said, she has to want it, be there for her when she wants to get clean and sober, but other than that, you can't give her anything that sustains her habits. I'm so sorry my dear Debbie. It is interesting that you said what you said about why the devil is after her, and it's because you have to live a life of faithfulness to God after you get baptized to actually be saved. If you dedicate your life to God and then leave him, you are not considered saved in his mind. Matthew 24:13 says that you need to endure to the end. But don't fear, because God reads hearts and he is aware of the vicious hold that this addiction has over her. He views her as a lost sheep that he desires to find and bring back to him (Like 15:4-7). He is a loving God and he knows the effects the devil and this sick world can have on us. May you keep meditating on his love and his ability to save those who have the heart to love him and serve him. I'll be praying for you and your family. Also it's not great that insurance companies don't pay for more than 30 days of addiction counseling and rehab. It's such a broken system.
Hey Debbie, thanks for sharing this because I have the same situation going on. I have a daughter the same age and addicted to heroin and other stuff. Your right about there being no help out there for immediate drug sickness and addiction. It’s helpless feeling. It’s sheer hell for the family and the addict. I hear that fentanyl is now being put in every drug except for weed, they say it’s sprinkled in cocaine and everything is contaminated with fentanyl. Oh Debbie, I am so very sorry to hear this!! I know what this is like. I have experienced this in my life with people very very close to me and it's heartbreaking. I will pray for Kayla and you all. So sorry for this. I know exactly how you feel. My daughter was in this same situation. She did get help at a 6 month Christian rehab program. She just graduated from the rehab program about a month ago. She is doing good so far. There is hope. Just keep praying and I will be praying for you as well. I know as a mother you want to be able to help her. I wish it was that easy. It’s not easy to lay your head down at night not knowing where she is. I’m so so sorry. The deep despair is awful. I have completely been there. I got to the point where I wouldn’t answer my phone or my door if the doorbell rang because I couldn’t bear the thought of something happening to her. As hard as it is try to keep your head up and stay busy. I will be praying with you that God will turn Kayla’s life around and speak to her heart. ♥️

Oh Debbie I have a nice who was on it and she got help and was doing better we thought. No more drugs but her depressions really got to her and unfortunately even though she had a 6 year old boy she committed suicide last July right after 4th of July. So on that note younarw in my prayers and try to keep your chin up and hope she gets her head straight real soon. And yes it is in every family these days. It is a crazy world. Debbie i know how hard this was for you to share. Please know we are here anytime you need to talk to us. While we love your cooking and chats with us we also need to hear the reality of life. I think drugs has hit every household but a lot deny it and want us to think their life is perfect. I'm dealing with the meth crisis. My estranged husband is so addicted he's homeless jobless and spends his days & nights chasing a free hit bc he has no money. He abandoned our son for that lifestyle. It's a nightmare for us who love the person that doesn't even love their sell anymore. Please keep us updated on your daughter and I will have you and your family in my prayers. Oh Debbie, my heart breaks for you and your family. Addiction has been a big problem in my life, both in myself and in friends and family. It is the worst thing you can put anyone through, but it is the worst for a parent. If I could take back all the grief I caused my mother I would in a heartbeat, but I am eleven years sober now and we have a wonderful relationship. Your daughter has an illness and I can guarantee she has no idea what she's doing to you and her family. I pray that she can find the help she needs. Miracles are real and do happen. My late ex husband was addicted to meth. He always did pot. I never did..never had the urge. But as long as it was after work and not around me and the kids.. he tried to go back into the Army at 26. At his meps(?) They told him to see a doctor at home asap and rejected him. Not even 6 months later he had what they call a widow maker heart attack... his life was over as far as he could see.. he started on harder drugs.. i was 21 with 2 little boys. Tried so hard to get him help. In and out of jail, 18 months in prison.. finally i couldn't try anymore and left him, to protect our sons and myself. He had several other massive heart attacks...finally at 50 he died in his sleep his hear stopped. Too much damage. I had since moved on remarried had other kids, adopted another. His son from his first marriage was into drugs as well. He had the same heart issue as his dad. Strokes and heart attacks and still used the drugs. Our oldest won't touch the stuff, not even smoke. Our youngest, my #2 he got started in it as a teen. I threatened to send him to his uncle, former army sergeant and k9 sheriff deputy... his dad passing and meeting his now wife and having a son jolted him. He says its hard everyday... a smell or a taste or a song... but they just found out they are pregnant with #5, house payments and his kids screaming daddy daddy when he walks in the door keep him clean. I will pray for your daughter to find her reason to be clean....
Wow, yalls stories are easing my stress some. I don't know anyone of my friends or family that has been on drugs like heroin and now these stories are coming out. It's horrible to know you all are going thru this but it does make me feel not so alone. Have a wonderful week.
So sorry to hear you are going through this with your daughter Debbie. Somebody I know is going through the same thing with her nephew but he's an alcoholic SEVERELY. In and out the hospital every week, liver failing, wanting to die. At the end of the day all you can do is try your best to help them but in the end they will always do what they want because the drug has their mind and you shouldn't feel responsible because they are adults. Your daughter sounds like she doesn't want help right now but if she doesn't she could die. I encourage you to keep looking for help for her. Rehab, intervention, anything. Love and prayers. ❤❤❤❤

I’m so sorry you are going through this I know exactly how you feel I lost my brother seven years ago because he was addicted to drugs and he ended up on life-support and my mom had to let him go. I will be praying that your daughter can get the help that she needs and I will be praying for you also.

Listening to your story is breaking my heart because my mother is going through the same thing. My sister had a medical condition the she had to have surgery for over 20 years ago and sadly she became addicted to pain pills while she was recovering from the surgery. The pain pills ruined her life. She was Miss popular in high school, a cheer leader, dated the cutest football player, had a nice job out of school, became a police officer which she loved, she has a beautiful daughter and a grandson but she has given it all up because of the drugs. Her pill addiction has turned into a meth addict, probably because it is an easier drug to get. She steals from all of her friends and family to pay for her addiction. She has forged prescriptions and gotten caught and arrested but the court systems do nothing and just let her go. She has gotten into numerous accidents but survives them all. The last one she was so bad off that she had to be airflighted to the hospital. My mom was beyond herself with that one because she had no idea where she was or how to find her. It is killing my mother and watching my mother go through this is killing me. I try to get my mother to let her go so my mother can live her life but she will never do that. My mother is in constant grief over my sister. I am a terrible person for thinking this but sometimes I wish my sister would overdose so my mom could finally let her go so she could begin to heal and be able to live her life again. I know that is horrible to say but having my sister doing what she is doing has my mother in an emotional prison and my mother has been the most wonderful, loving, supportive mother in the world and does not deserve any of this. Not only is the damage my sister is doing to herself hurting my mom, she is also terribly abusive to my mother. If I saw an effort in my sister to get better I would stand by her side and do anything to help her but she has no desire to get better. It has been over 20 years of this so I have completely given up hope. I pray that you are able to get your beautiful daughter the help that she needs and that she is strong enough to accept the help before it becomes too late like it is for my sister. Stay strong, there are going to be some very tough times ahead for your family. Thank you for sharing your story. That is very brave of you and I know your heart is hurting so bad for your baby. My 31 year old daughter is/was very much like your sister. My youngest daughter definitely has had thoughts of wishing her sister would just die. She has been abusive to my parents and they are the biggest enablers to her. She has a 12 year old and has been an addict her daughters whole life. She then got pregnant by her drug dealer/"boyfriend". She delivered July 5th. She has been off the pills, fentanyl, heroine free for 2 weeks now. I don't know where we will end up, but I want you to know you aren't alone and I pray for your family. It is so much!!

Kayla is in a hospital now that is working with her. It's only a 3-5 day program but hopefully they are going to find a place that will accept her for long term care. Also, I got a court Paper today where they take me to court March 3rd to get out of this house so I'm dealing with that too.

I absolutely know how you are feeling. I was married to someone that was addicted to Meth and alcohol. It was so hard. You’re mad, sad, hurt, you have so many emotions going on. I’m so sorry you are going through this right now. Pray pray pray 🙏. I tried to help my husband for 20 years and I couldn’t help him because he didn’t want to be helped. I stuck by his side though. I have so much empathy for you. My daughter was almost 26 when this plague hit through a friend. I was in the hospital with a serious health issue when my boyfriend came and told me what was going on in my house. I discharged myself and went home to clean house, managed to get her friend out and into a motel while she was waiting for a plane to LA to enter rehab. Got my daughter medical help to get her off heroin. FF seven years later, she has a baby now and she has picked up the habit again. She steals from me, lies to me, argues with me, disrespects me on the regular. She and the baby live with me. I am so stressed about this that I don’t know if I can keep living like this. Part of me wants to work to get custody of my grandchild and move across country. The father is a jerk too and a mean one. But I feel that if I leave my daughter, I will get that call. Now to you, there is some hope in your daughter. She keeps trying to get clean. My daughter won’t try anymore. We all know it takes a while before commitment overtakes just wishing things away, with drinking smoking eating spending sex, anything. I will pray for the Grace of God that she gets time to fix her problem and reacquaint with her true self. Thank you for talking about this.
@@DebbieFoodPrepping I pray it helps. I had my husband in several facilities and he always went back to using. The only thing that cleaned him up was state pen. He was sentenced for 1 year for his 4th DUI. He found God in the pen. Wow. Then as soon as he got out he became got sick and we found out he had cancer of the stomach that had spread throughout his abdomen. It was in his liver and pancreas and stomach. He lasted 2 weeks after his diagnosis. Debbie, I’m praying so hard for you daughter and for you and the family. You are so right when you say it can happen to anyone. We were a middle class family.
@@janicehesteramey8643 Sounds just like the agony I went through. My husband would steal from me, our daughter, her friends, just really anybody, as long as he could get his meth. Drugs are the devils work. And there is not a DAMN thing you can do. Sometimes it takes tough love. Praying for your daughter and you and your family. Yes it is so true about the disrespect and the whole personality change. You want to just wash your hands but you just can’t seem to do it. Like I told Debbie, it took my husband to get sentenced to the state prison before he got clean and he found God. He got cancer soon after he was released from prison and passed away soon after that. So I can’t say he would have stayed clean. I fought with this addiction for 20 years with him. I know you pain and sadness and frustrations.
Sadly so many people with mental illness get hooked on drugs. It's a sad part of America right now. Our lack of help for addicts and mental healthcare. People with mental illness especially those with bipolar and depression will self medicate with anything they can. And it spirals from there. I know what you are feeling and going through. Your daughter is beautiful. I am so sorry for what you are going through. There is drug abuse and alcoholism in my family. I know how heart shattering it can be to watch a loved one be taken over by an addiction. My heart is with you. I am praying from the deepest part of my soul for God to reach your daughter's heart and bring her back! I feel your anger for the person selling the drugs. I I am praying for your family down. Addiction is a terrible thing and I know you must be worried sick. There is so many terrible drugs out there right now. The world has went crazy. The small town that I live in, you constantly hear of the ambulance heading for a non-pulse non-breather subject. And there are so many young people that are being taken. Unfortunately the medical field doesn’t really offer much for help. My great niece is an addict. A couple of months ago she was taken to the hospital for an overdose. She was out of her mind. They kept her for a very short time and when she told him she wanted to get out of there, they let her out because they said they couldn’t hold her. I think that is terrible. I hope your daughter can get out of this before it’s too late. But they don’t think about anybody but that drug and it doesn’t seem to matter if they have children or family or anything else. I am so sorry that you’re going through this, you don’t need this, you have enough to think about when wondering when you’re going to have to move and where you going to move. I hope this girl that is selling these terrible drugs, is caught before something terrible happens. They obviously don’t have any conscience or any concerns for the people that they’re doping up. Please know you’re in my thoughts and I wish I could help you in someway but I guess your daughter has got to come to her senses somehow and get this straightened out. I could tell that it was very hard for you to make this video, but know that your viewers want to help you and they want to vent when you need to

Can her husband call and get her into the hospital on a phyic hold .? Does she have a doctor who can do something ? Her poor little kids . I don't know what to say that will help . Ok I'm confused. Seen signs of life from whom? My daughter isn't dead. Right now, as of today, she is in a rehab in another part of the state. Hopefully for a while until she gets better and is helped with her mental illness.
The thing that can help her is suboxone. She needs to be willing and want to get better but this can change her life for the positive. Methadone is just as bad as the drug so stay away from those clinics. It's a hard road but if she wants a future she needs to stop. If you cannot find a Suboxone doctor in your area try Ophelia online they can prescribe through zoom and do all the medical treatments right on your phone if you have to. It starts out fun for most of us who tried it but then you quickly become a slave to it and you no longer even get high you are just trying to avoid being sick.
