Grant should cheat for this mission. Like really cheat. Infinite money max build speed, see how fast you can destroy the zerg instead of them destroying you. When you kill all their stuff you win of course. Then be uproariously surprised at the the infinite nydus worm respawn. Actual cheating should only be used once unless skipping a mission.

I have a pretty good and satisfying cheese for Evacuation if you can delay it until Xil: Grab all the resource pickups in the no-build segment, then use the closest SCV to build a Factory next to the Barracks. Once it’s done, swap the Factory to the Tech Lab and build a Tank. It works out that the Tank finishes just seconds before the first convoy leaves, allowing you to deploy it in the chokepoint at the base exit and permanently blocking in the first convoy, giving you infinite time to build up. It never glitches itself past or triggers future events and works even better than the block in Engine of Destruction, as there are no incoming attack waves. You could also wait out the Siege Breaker timer during the no-build segment and use them, but I really like how the timing for the first Tank works out so perfectly. If you have to do Evacuation earlier, you can at least delay the convoy by quite a bit by hold positioning units in front of the APC Outlaws: You can rescue the Rebel base immediately with your initial Marines. Just fight the first 3 in the way, then stick to the southern wall and run up the ramp, you can kill the guys from the cave with the help of the allies. Great Train Robbery: I just messed around on this map with the console commands for a bit and found that the Marauder Kill Teams don’t spawn if you have a unit close to their spawn points (The warehouses at the northern and middle train spawns). They spawn as soon as you leave after ~13:30, allowing you to even spawn them one after the other. Not sure if those areas are clearable without cheats by that time stamp, maybe for you they are^^ Then some smaller, probably well known things: Zero Hour: Not sure if it’s doable on Brutal, but cleaning out the bases and sitting on the infinitely respawning Nydus at the end is pretty funny. Devils Playground Kill the Brutalisk with Lava Outbreak: Cloaked units can clear during the night without pulling the additionally spawned units, they just stand around their building and don’t aggro on your base. I think it’s possible to kill the Infestors during the day with splash damage on your own troops Gates of Hell: Dropping Infantry on that one pillar to clear out some Nydus/Skip the way to Warfield with some Hercules I hope some of that is helpful ^^

Oh! With Zero Hour, there is no way to speed up the mission obviously, it's a timed mission. However, I recall during you playing Archipelago that allowing a worker to rebuild a hatchery counted towards the goal to destroy four hatcheries. For Zero Hour a lot of the end is based on you being located at the base. Instead, take out the base in the lower left, and migrate there. Only one ramp to defend and no random drops of creep tumors and lings in your base. no nydus worms popping up in the middle of your base. A cheesey way to avoid a lot of what the mission's end game throws at you.

For zero hour: there might be a location on the map where you can build a missile turret and put 2+ SCVs out of range of any of the zerg ground force's. So you might be able to lift a command center over there and be able to fall asleep (pointed pyjama hat and everything) with the mutalisks on the mission lacking the firepower to kill anything or drain your funds. For the evacuation, if you can at that point, might be worth using it to demonstrate the infinite credits glitch, showing an army significantly stronger than your meant to have on the mission.

Might as well show some of my suggestions, even if they're on an "easier" side. First mission: Pull micro counts as cheese. "What, the guards are too blind to fight back?" Third mission: Block pathing. Try and dodge fighting the enemy as much as possible, making the mission's gimmick irrelevant. The escort mission: Reapers. The only problem will be mutalisks. Trains: Spawncamp the trains. Zeratul overmind mission: Just skip all the defenses. End the mission as early as possible, like you said. + Cannonrush. Redstone: Snipe the enemy hives? See if it disables all attacks & gives a very boring victory. Might have missed some.
@Evan-mt7bc
@Evan-mt7bc 4 месяца назад
I'm going to spitball a few ideas Liberation Day: You could try to recreate what happened in your Pacifist video where you reset the Vikings and a single Marine soloed the last objective. Zero Hour: If you think about it lifting your buildings off is pretty much the cheesiest strat that could possibly exist. Could probably try to explore and see how early you could lift off. Could also probably look into a Strategy where you build pretty much nothing but like 20 Barracks, lift off and spread them out so Muta's can't bounce attacks and try to AFK 15 minutes before mission end because there's no feasible way the Mutas could kill like 30 barracks in time. Evacuation: If you intentionally kill the APC and 1 Civilian on the first escort so you only rescue 11 Colonists the game will think you're really bad and replay the first escort attack on the 2nd escort. Because you only killed 2 Civilians you'll have just enough if you don't lose any further APCs you can still finish the mission in 4 cycles. It's not like the 2nd cycle is particularly hard and skipping it is crucial to success but hey, cheesy be cheesy Outbreak: I did this once for fun but if you wait for Moebius Factor to do this mission you can have access to Medivacs and Siege Tanks on this mission IE this means you can place High Ground Siege Tanks in the impassable high ground in your base. Place like 3 Siege Tanks on the ramp at the north of your base with a wall of hold position SCVs and 3 High Ground Siege tanks at the south of your base and you can literally never think about base defense ever on this mission. If you wanted to you could sit there for 10 nights getting a snack then clearing it out.

For Zero Hour there is that thing where, at least on lower difficulties, you can literally just lift your command center and never command any other units or buildings and still win. I know it doesn't really work on brutal, but it might be a good jumping off point. Make it the "minimum setup to go afk" mission and use that time to discuss other parts of the run which don't have other good spots. I also saw the suggestion of just not worrying about the first three missions, glossing over them by saying something like "After dropping some SCVs on a siege tank and [any other minor cheese], we get access to Smash and Grab..." Evacuation and Outbreak are still things, but it may be worth looking at what funny stuff you can do if you wait for a bit to do them. Is blasting burrowed infestors with the Reaper's demolition charges a cheese? I'unno! Either way, future units might be worth looking at for those two I'm not quite sure on Mobius factor... There are a bunch of places where Nydus worms spawn near the cores as you're attacking them. It could be funny to try to clear those bases and just land a pile of barracks to stop them from popping up while proxying marines, but idk if that's quite what you're looking for. Trains is EASY. It's not actually that hard to clear and camp the bases the trains leave from, I don't think. Knowing where each train and escort will spawn, you might be able to vaporize the trains as they spawn. Could be fun. Could even put PFs in those bases to handle the escorts while higher dps units do their thing, if you can make the resources work. Also, it might be worth figuring out if there are any ways to separate the train cars. I don't know if it's possible outside of custom campaigns with overpowered stuns, but it may be worth looking into. I agree with the comment about Gates with the glorious return of Maurice the Pillar Marauder. I feel like there's gotta be SOMETHING funny you can do with the lava on Devil's Playground. You probably want spooky men of one type or another fairly early for some things so you can't delay too long on that mission, probably, so no "wall off ramps enemies might want to use with Raven autoturrets so they die in lava" strats, probably.

Hey, sorry I'm a little late to the party on this, but I know a few things that could help out, both with missions you're wondering about and ones you mentioned in passing. 1. Smash & Grab: So the win condition on Smash and Grab actually triggers based on the unit that killed the final stone sentinel regardless of which side it's on. If you drag the Zerg over to kill your sentinel, you'll still fail the mission. The cheese you can do though, is get the Zerg to trigger the sentinels on their end, then rush in and kill them first. 2. Outbreak: This was the silliest challenge/"exploit" I've ever done and I'd love to see how you'd do it. Win the mission with only Hive Mind Emulators and static defense. So, you obviously need emulator tech, you can then mind control the larger infested that come to your base. Now these will still die in the sun UNLESS you load them into a transport like a Medivac or Herc. You stock them all up, then drop them on the enemy at night and overwhelm them. It's ridiculously silly and takes a fair bit of time even with mass emulators, but it was one of the most unique challenges I've ever done. 3. Echoes of the Future: With Colossus and Blink Stalkers, you can actually get to all the Zerg bases and wipe them out with good micro. When done the attacks on your base stop and you can win the mission with no contest. 4. The Starting Missions: I think by this point, your entire audience knows this song and dance. I don't think there's any issue with starting the run after you get the Hyperion. I think most people would agree.

Liberation Day: Wounded Marines below 20 health are sent back to retirement, they've traded in their weapons and thus cannot attack, use them as meat shields instead The Outlaws: SCV drop as much as possible Zero Hour: Wall off on the other side of the bridges. Alternatively wall the entrance to the zerg bases. Alternative alternatively take a zerg base as your own under any means necessary and hold until mission completion The Evacuation: Mass Firebat, any Marines must be executed, clear enemy bases if possible, Medics and turrets allowed. Gather research with SCV drops
@Shegin
@Shegin 4 месяца назад
Liberation day: probably you will need to bump difficulty down for this one but just right click everything without attacking to the last objective. Hide marine, win the game with 0 shooting vs people. Mobeuis: It highly depends what's available at this moment. If you get last toss upgrade for drop-pods at this moment you can never use medivacs and comlete all 3 objectives simultaneously by dropping units from orbit into hardly reachiable places for enemies behidn the objectives. Or just 1 hero tank each time abusing some places but then you need to find it for 1st and 3rd objective.

For the zero hour, all the burrowed are pre placed in normal and hard (haven’t check in brutal) so with your initial 16 marines + 1st bonus, you can clear all the burrows at 2nd bonus, then head to third and push into the zerg base there. I’ve done it in hard, and then bully the nydus with 2 bunkers. That’s a funny terran rush i’ve done.

We could go metatextual with the colonist missions. Hansen thinks she can break all rules and cure the zerg infestation? She clearly gets to have a lot of (delusional) fun. So why don' we get to do that in her missions? (from here we could go into complaining about it, talking about Zerg lore or we open the editor and give the colonist transport a movespeed of 299) This would also allow us to frame the last colonist mission as revenge against her or something similar.

Suggestions from my son! (I take no credit for these 😁) Liberation Day: Put a marine in the corner near the objective out of view of the vikings like in pacifist. Zero Hour: Destroy all the zerg buildings and camp the nydus worms as they spawn. The Evacuation: Body block the APC to protect it. Outbreak: Cheese the bonus objectives using SCVs and only make hellions and firebats for army. The Devil’s Playground: Destroy all zerg production on the map so you can’t lose unless you mine out all the minerals on the map. The Moebius Factor: Since it is called the moebius factor, you should only make units out of a factory. The Great Train Robbery: Only use resources you get from the trains. Echoes of the future: Only use probes and Zeratul. In Utter Darkness: Kill the hatchery in the bottom right corner. The Gates of Hell: Drop a marauder on the cliff near the nydus worms with the drop pods upgrade.

Trains are completely invalidated by mass siege tank. They destroy the trains, they destroy the kill teams. I have discovered this the first time I played that mission. So I was really confused every time I heard it was actually a hard mission. If I know what cheese is then that's a one and a half.

If you really want a gimmick for Zero Hour, you could clear the map, and camp the Nydus spawn point to entirely nullify all attack waves before they can even be spawned. Beside that, not much you can do there.

As someone who is not a content creator, I'd say you're overthinking this. If there's nothing interesting to show, to me it's completely fine to skip the mission. That said, in some missions you mentioned I'd consider "killing the enemy base" as a cheese, i.e. Zero Hour or Evacuation. In general, using the easiest way to neutralize the main threat definitely counts as cheese. Another thing is you can postpone some of the boring missions to the point when you have more OP units and abilities, such as perma-stealth ghosts. Can't say if it would work with the mission order, but I do remember blocking the entrances to my base on the Outbreak with ghosts and the AI couldn't do anything about it because it didn't have detection.

I think one thing you could maybe do is play around with the mission order and do some of the early missions with units you aren't supposed to be able to get until super late. I think using perma-cloaked Specters on a mission where the enemy just doesn't have detection because they didn't expect you to have cloaking by then could work.

I think it would be fine to just skip those missions for the beginning. Just say "there's nothing to do here, so let's skip to the first cheese". On Zero Hour maybe you can do extermination on it?

Liberation Day would be the single marine in a spot where the vikings don't get to. The Dig would have to have something neat done with the _Bunker of Death._ Maybe float some barracks past it and produce beyond it to force the AI to abandon the bunker? Zero Hour is boring, but clearing the map, and finding that Tauren Marine, would probably qualify. Maybe spawncamp the Nudus Worms. Evacuation might require spawn-camping Nydus worms and abusing convoy mechanics. Redstone would be grabbing all the Reapers, ASAP, and using them to snipe enemy hatcheries to reduce the pressure. Welcome to the Jungle is due for a heavy dose of harvest-cancel abuse. Past that, I dunno. I imagine by then you're able to get really goofy, or at least mildly goofy.

Liberation Day, Jimothy Raynor solo operation (AKA no marines), maybe solo operative would work somewhere else too / instead. EX: 1 marine, infinity medic + scv drop on the outlaws. Less of a cheese, more just bad manners. (cheese is also kind of a bad manner thing though) but imagine only mining from the zerg bases, for Zero Hour Not sure if its possible (and its more bad manners) but imagine doing trains with only stationary damage, siege tanks, bunkers, planetary fortress, "hold position" units in a pinch. For echos of the future? deathless, not "no protoss can die" no deaths, 0 % death for friend and foe alike. Shame you'll need ghosts so early, because banshees on redstone would be HILARIOUS Raymes Jaynor, the rudest man in the koprulu sector.

Don't know if those will be possible but imma give it a shot: Liberation Day - If possible, beat the mission without attacking anything except for the objectives, you can use the civilians as meat shields, technically the damage they do is not yours. The Outlaws - As you mentioned the tank... Well try to win the mission by making it do most friendly fire possible, perhaps it will clear out the structures with splash damage lol Zero Hour - Make Raynor's Raiders into Raynor's Pest Control and Moving Company. Clear out one of the Zerg bases ASAP, move everything to it and hold it there until the end The Evacuation - You got firebats right? A meme unit. Clear the whole map out using only firebats. No marines. No medics. Burn the whole mission down. Oh right, anti air? Proxy Missile Turrets. Outbreak - Clearing the map only during night using proxy bunkers. Oh I forgot to mention. You can only build a bunker if it touches another bunker to create some sort of a bunker snake :D

Smash & Grab: There is something iffy with the victory condition. You can win, I think, by defeating the zerg's long zealots. I'm not 100% sure what it is, it might require your unit in the objective zone (with or without activating the long zealot) or it might require clearing the area of protoss. But something that might be worth exploring. Not a very useful cheese in that if you can get to this state you can generally win anyway, but... who knows. P.S. The tavern AI just don't know how to scale in the late game, so they are very easy to beat, especially if you can micro. For a more "fair" game, you can try solo chanllenge Amon. Although... that might require pre-recording as it can get intense/difficult.... and some heroes can be very APM intensive.

Liberation day: Not much you can really do with a few marines :/ Perhaps use a mod to replace the enemy marines with civilians and vice versa. It's not really in the spirit of the run as the mission is modified but it could be a fun hook. Outlaws: Perhaps a CC rush, using multiple CC's to ferry many SCV's directly onto the enemies base then play the mission backwards from there, bringing your barracks across too. Zero Hour: Not much here either :/ Perhaps "borrow" one of the zerg bases and move everything there instead of holding in the standard location.

My suggestion for Evacuation cheese is to just save it for last, and then come back to it with Battlecruisers. Maybe have Siege Tanks along the path as fortification. Just complete overkill. Maybe something similar for Outbreak. Or just mass Reaper. Those guys are seriously badass.

Cheese implies a complete lack of honour. If you turn the difficulty down to nothing, how quickly can you set up Zero Hour so that you literally walk away from the PC I don’t think it’s uncommon knowledge that you can beat Devil’s Playground by spending all the money on guys and then killing the Zerg but it definitely feels like the wrong way to win. I always think of Let’s Game it Out when I think about breaking a game

Something you said about the siege tank being unique in that nothing can walk over it, really got me thinking about Kerrigan and her dumb AI brain on the medivac mission. If you siege up a tank and drop it on Kerrigan with a hercules, will that screw up her pathfinding or interrupt her mid-way through interacting with a data core? Will it mess her up so bad that she doesn't attack anything during her move order? I've not tested this ofc, but the siege tank's unique collision makes it a very interesting unit to mess around with. I just don't know how robust Kerri's AI is on that mission, if she keeps getting orders to A-move or w/e. What I do know is sometimes the AI breaks completely if you do something weird, like using Spectre stuns on Warp Prisms during The Dig, they just sit there and afk.

SC Tavern Battle have a PvE version that supports up to 4 players, its called "SC Tavern Battle Challenge Amon" It have lots of cards rework for better balance, lots of difficulty choice, every hero have 2 paths they can choose to go for at the start of the game. On hardest difficulty, every enemy also have their unique super powers which affects either shop phase or fight phase. To win in this mode, you need to complete all 15 waves without losing all hp (which you can restore with some cards), every 4 waves you can choose an artifact prophecy of: low tier on wave 4, medium on wave 8, advanced on wave 12. (If someone would like to try it out, choose the version published by Cydia, not LAF (LAF was the first publisher, when they were developing both PvP and PvE, but then devs wanted to focus on PvP, so they had to switch publisher))

Back when I played, there was a pretty serious balance problem with amon power scaling, have that been fixed? Specifically, on latter levels on higher difficulty, as far as I can tell, the enemy void buff scales with player power. Problem is, not all units are equal in terms of actual fighting power per... power. Protoss is the best, fielding relatively few but strong stuff. Zerg was basically unplayable, as it excel at spamming stuff which only serve to make Amon stronger and get melted in seconds. I think I got to 200k+ power in a couple games and still lost very fast. I believe I've only ever won one game with normal zerg, all the rest I had to pivot to kerrigan or die. Even primal and enhanced swarm struggles, have to get really lucky to win (and even then, generally it's to create one or two god stack and sell the rest)
@fallen9844
@fallen9844 4 месяца назад
@@justanoman6497 back then protoss had a very op card called "plasma surge" which doubled all your upgrades, it was so good that most builds just changed their cards race to protoss, over patches it was nerfed and later removed. Now all races are more less equal in terms of power. Enemy still scale with your army value, and on highest difficulty, last wave will have minimum 500% void power (5x hp and dmg) no matter how low your army value is. As an example, yesterday i carried three Amon waves on random scourge playing zerg, the key for winning as zerg is getting as many reflector armor upgrades and transfering them on your main card using nyduses. Terran can drastically increase their attack range and dmg to potentially kill Amon before he even have a chance to kill you. Protoss is in a tricky position, they excel in quality, but it's hard to build one, you don't have the range of terrans, or the bulkiness of zerg, but you can "craft" your build, by carefully choosing, which upgrades will your main card - fenix, get (it's the first upgrade on every golden protoss card on board)

For outlaw mission try this challenge. Play a squad game with a twist. you can only have squads of units, but every squad consist of 4 medic and only 1 marine. The mission is very gas limited so you can't get a lot of squad(marines). So, you'll have very less firepower. It would be interesting to see you micro to win that mission, plus managing all those medic would be funny. You could also add that if you lose a squad member you'll have to sacrifice the whole squad.

How about you roll a random challenge every mission, the challenges could be, no build, marines only, deathless, etc. any combination of your previous challenge runs that we enjoyed so much. Other challenges could be like bunkers only, (random unit you already unlocked only) or play the mission at 2x speed.

You could just do a supercut of whatever missions you don't have cheese for. Just find a bit of music and then cut the footage so it matches the beat and tempo of the music, so placing buildings, building units, destroying enemy buildings and units, etc. all happen on beat, should allow those empty non-cheese missions to be however long you want them to be, whether that's a 10-second jingle or 5-minute track.

Liberation day: hide some marines behind the Vikings, about as cheesy as you can make this mission Outlaws: cc plus scv diving the tank to kill it, get the secret free scv drop that’s incredibly rare Zero Hour: kill the leftmost Zerg and claim its base? Fly your buildings to the corners of the map like a noble Terran? Show the easy way to get the hatchery achievement by letting a drone rebuild the hatchery in the middle base over and over (did that for the achievement long ago and felt silly to me) Evacuation: a tank breaks the escorts ai so it gets stuck for infinite time, pretty sure the bases spawn the attack waves so could kill the base for free escorts (besides the drops) Outbreak: if this can wait til redstone, the reaper destruction of the mission has always been satisfying. Besides the bottom base reapers can destroy the buildings even at night with micro Smash & Grab: make the Zerg kill the objective for you or speedrun trick with proxy barracks Redstone: give the brutalisk a bath or see if you can truly softlocke the map? Trains: you can delay the kill team spawn by standing on it to kill them one by one, think I had a visual bug once by killing the last train before it got out of its spawn door and the cutscene freaking out? Besides that just kill all the trains as soon as they spawn or a way to spawn them faster

For a challenge run idea, WoL brutal, but only SC2 units. Start with Smash and Grab and go from there. If a mission is impossible, keep your starting units as well. I tried this and it is damn tough. Thors replace siege tanks, except you have to use their active all the time. And reapers are no substitute for marines, but they are all you got.
