I was just looking at them earlier and Almirante them all. I just got a new batch and now even more conflicted!!

I like it too and looks like it could be a beast. These fish aren’t so much for pattern, but body and size. I do like the simplicity of them though.

I know what you mean, I’ve been watching the ones that were in the bowl for months. Seeing them up close now gives me a better idea which one I’d like to watch develop. People come by here all the time and just stare for a while until they pick one. It can be more stressful than one would think!!

It’s definitely a nice fish and it was actually hand selected for me from my dealer. As beautiful as it is, that’s the one I’m swapping since I already have a young platinum in there.

@@stubbsaquatics6080 I’m also a huge fan of Showas. I have 6 in my show pond at the moment. Definitely the most common in our pond. 5 are from Isa and 4 of them have a wash to go until finishing. Koi are definitely entertaining in several ways.

@@CapeFearKoi Always learning.. The colouring is a crap shoot.. Some wash out some just get better and better until they hit their peak.

@@stubbsaquatics6080 for sure. Knowing the breeder or lineage definitely helps, but I’ve definitely seen some expensive colors disappear!

Ha. I hear ya in that. I like a good Ki Utsuri too! I did just sell a Ki Utsuri this morning, so someone else likes the too. I have a super Ki Utsuri already in the main pond, otherwise I would definitely add one.
