We are a couple(engaged) who was tired of living the rat race and decided to quit our previous careers(her-mortgage industry, him-remodeling contractor) and take our hobby/passion and make a living doing what we love. We now operate Cape Fear Koi and build ponds, maintain/deep cleans, repairs and sell imported Japanese koi. We want to share all things koi and our koi pond experiences in the Cape Fear region and beyond. Simply living and loving the koi lifestyle. Please subscribe to follow our journey, we’d love to have you along! Thanks man! I’m very curious to see how they borne turn out. The Showa I got for Nicole and I’m looking forward to seeing got the Kohaku fills out. It was thicker when my left Japan and been on a bit of a restricted diet for a while. Are there any koi shows in your region?
Hey nice to see you back, very nice video and I am looking forward to seeing your new content . It's been a while for you guys hope to see more videos soon. From Ricardo in England 🙏🙏👍👍👍
Hey Ricardo! I really appreciate that. Yes sir, it’s been a while. We have been so consumed with work and all sorts of life events and projects that it’s been difficult to make videos as each video takes hours to edit and create. Another reason it’s always helpful for folks to like and comment on videos. Like you did here! lol I’m hoping for more videos as we want to install a really nice skimmer from Helix, a retro bottom drain and an RDF filtration system. Just trying to get the time my man!
Woo hoo! We are!! We are definitely trying to get back in the swing of things if we can settle into a groove. I also want to say thanks so much for being a dedicated contributor with 👍 and comments. It means the world to us.
Any worries on walls bowing. That's my worry. I wanna tear mine down and use your style. But I want to know id rebar necessary with those posts you have there in the middle.? Lmk thanks..
Hi, I'm thinking about having one what is sitting next to my deck. It might have to go deeper in the ground so that it level with the deck( deck is 2-4 feet high due to slope. do you think the koi can survive the winter( lowest temp is 20-30 degree max. virginia weather)?
Hi there, great video. I have one of these in a box that I haven't installed yet. Perhaps you could answer 2 questions. Some people are saying not to use UV in areas where PGE constantly shuts off the power to prevent wildfires since the rumor is the lightbulbs can fail fast if water stops flowing or in the time it takes to re prime the system. Maybe that's why you installed it almost like a p trap so water sits there? Question 2 is I have snails that I love. Will they still have enough to eat if the light removes all the algae? Thanks so much for your help, Sarah
Excellent job! Have one suggestion and it is that the person filming the video should please, please, please, try to move the camera -- whether a professional camera or a cell phone camera -- more slowly. There are too many segments when the camera jumps rather rapidly from point t point and this causes discomfort to the eyes of the person watching the video. Other than that your work is great and worth sharing. Blessings to all who are responsible for such magnificent, high quality work.
So the alcohol needs a little time to evaporate before adding water or is the amount of alcohol to water so minimal it doesn't become toxic to the fish?
